Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Chikaming Township

This is our second stay in this home. Quaint, clean, and in the heart of New Buffalo. We loved that our dog could join us! Plenty of towels, linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities that made our stay comfortable. I highly recommend!

Donna is a wonderful host! The cottage was the perfect spot for a quick getaway—it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the large, fully fenced-in yard for our dogs and the screened-in back porch, which was perfect for unwinding. The kitchen was beautiful and well-equipped, and the quiet neighborhood made for a peaceful retreat. Plus, it’s within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Three Oaks, which was a big bonus. Be sure to check out Dreihart Wines and 6 Linden while you're in town, offering amazing German-style wines and a great selection of specialty groceries and imported foods. If I had to mention one downside to our stay, it would be that the beds felt a bit worn and not as comfortable as we’d hoped. That said, everything else about the stay more than made up for it, and I’m still giving Donna and her charming cottage a full 5 stars!

I am still going to give a 5 star review regardless of a couple issues we had. First of all the house, amenities, and outside area are excellent and as described. The location feels very private and it is what we were looking for. We had 3 total issues during our stay, and 2/3 minimum were outside of the owner's control. During our drive in the Benton Harbor area had 60-70mph straight line winds that blew the outside furniture into the driveway. This storm also caused water to bypass a window and get the floor a bit dirty. Owners drove out early next morning and replaced outdoor furniture and I wiped up the water in the house. In the morning we realized the hot water was out. Owners immediately drove back out and investigated. They happened to have a property that was vacant at the time, and gave us access to it to drive there and shower. Overall communication and response was excellent. Owners made us whole, and I would recommend.

Our hosts were incredible and the house was great. It did rain several days and we still found plenty to do and that was helped a lot by the host’s guide. We couldn’t really see the walkability to the park, but didn’t mind the very short drive and the beach was great! We were there before the season really kicked in, and I do wonder if the location would feel as private as described due to proximity to a major road and a business. But for us, it was very quiet. The highlights for us were the beach, of course, Bit of Swiss bakery and Peat’s Cider Social.

This is the second year I rented this place for my birthday weekend away with friends. The house has so many accommodations for sleeping and different sitting areas. However, the main event is the kitchen. My friends and I love to cook and that's why we came back a second year in a row. The kitchen is unbelievably well-stocked with anything you might need to cook. There are multiple sinks so someone can be cooking while someone else cleans. The layout is perfect for people to hang out with whoever is cooking. There are two ovens. It is a dream. The house feels comfortable and lived-in, and it feels like there has been a lot of thought and intention focused on the user-experience. Cannot say enough nice stuff about this house, cannot recommend enough. Will be coming back for my 29 birthday.

I loved this space! It was private, with beautiful surroundings, and a cozy and curated interior. Not your average air bnb in the best ways. We had everything we needed. Elena was a very kind host and offered clear instructions and great recommendations. Would stay here again :)

I booked Gina's property for a guys trip. They stayed two nights and said it was awesome. It was close to their destination and they appreciated all the amenities. We would recommend if you are in the area and need lots of room for multiple people. Gina was very friendly and I felt that she really cares about her guests.

Great place. I wish I would have gotten there at check-in time, so I could have enjoyed the river more!

My husband and I stayed at Irene’s place for a weekend get away. The apartment was easy to access and on a very private street. Irena is friendly and responds quickly. As stated in her post, it really was a 3 minute walk to the beach. We were provided with extra towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a private patio and beach towels provided, but you need to grab your own firewood. We had a concert in Chicago and it was only a 30-40min drive to Solider Field, Navy Pier and Shedd Aquarium. This place was a gem and a romantic destination, we will definitely book again!

We immediately felt right at home in Barbara’s apartment on their family horse farm. Our children enjoyed selecting books to read from their entertainment center and playing outside with Barbara’s children. It was nice to have respite from traffic down their long lane and to be able to fully relax due to the safe picturesque country setting. We appreciated the reverse osmosis filtered water, comfortable room temperature, shower stocked with toiletries, and cozy blankets. We slept well and were refreshed and ready for another day of traveling. We would happily stay again!

Cute apartment, close to downtown Bridgman. Check in and out was very easy. Larry was communicative. I would definitely stay there again.

The place was amazing, very cozy Airbnb and for a great price! The view of the property from the Airbnb was beautiful and gives off farmhouse vibes, space was great for my family and I! We had some friends and family over and everyone was comfortable in the space and it didn’t feel cramped ! Very beautiful place with great home owners!

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. My husband, our 15 month old, and I are moving to Ethiopia in a couple of months and we needed to spend one last time with our family. Fern’s listing was so close to where our family lived and we were able to have our own space and also spend time with family. We got to meet and visit with our host one morning and they were so friendly and welcoming!! We will definitely choose these wonderful accommodations again if we ever come back.

We had another great stay at Mari-Beth’s place, and we look forward to staying a third time in the future.

Charming at a great location! My mum, husband and myself enjoyed our stay. Beautiful orchards to walk, walking path and lots of train sightings for train buffs like myself! Local gas station, Walmart under 10 mins. Close to local Hostilpal and Amish community. It was my husband's first time to this area and we had a great time showing him our favorite haunts; resturants, shops, flea market, all the farms and friendly community! A great trip I think everyone should take between May- October!

We were lucky enough to snag Sarah's place at peak spring, right before the summer crowds rolled in. Our toddler loved the huge, grassy yard that wraps around the house and playing hide and seek on the screened patio. (Bonus: He slept soundly after all the running around!) My husband and I enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub, plus the thoughtfully equipped kitchen and comfortable king-sized bed. Steps from Neon Moon Gelato and a market. Short stroll to Townline Beach and Seedz Brewery. We would definitely stay at Sarah's again!

Sitting in a comfy recliner next to the fireplace and looking out at a tranquil snowy landscape with majestic cranes was just the relaxing break I needed!

Let me start out by saying, the pictures honestly don’t do the cabin enough justice! I hosted a small, lowkey bachelorette party and the cabin truly made the trip. Totally exceeded my expectations with space, uniqueness, and authentically rustic yet chic!

A wonderful and peaceful getaway that's quiet and secluded, but also close enough to nearby activities if you want them. We had a great time sitting around the fire pit and fireplace with our dog, and loved walking around in the trees in what felt like a pretty secluded / private area for being so close to big cities. The cabin was compact and cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway! Also, the vinyl collection was solid! 💿👍

If you are looking for a beautiful and private and peaceful retreat, look no further! David’s place is all of the above and more! This was our second stay! The little lake ( with boat and kayak) is always fun. The house is spotless and we are welcome with cookies! Thank you so much again!

My family (8 yo daughter and husband) and I stayed at this property for a family staycation. We chose this place for the great reviews and location: close to the Dunes and easy access by rail to Chicago. This was an exceptional stay! Jason and Ana were amazing hosts. They were accommodating and communicated expectations and information in advance. The property was gorgeous and had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was pristine, and we had great amenities. My daughter even got to read some favorite books and graphic novels! We are picky travelers, and Jason and Ana did not disappoint. I hope we can stay here again soon. We highly, highly recommend the property.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home tucked away in a peaceful rural setting. The house was full of charm and character, and the surrounding mature woods made it feel like a true escape. It's conveniently located near Three Oaks and New Buffalo, both of which offered plenty of great activities, dining, and local charm. Our dogs loved the space just as much as we did—especially the nearby dog beach! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and pet-friendly getaway.
