Large old windows with wavy glass let in tons of light, but insulated attic keeps it cool. Outdoors has an eating area, stone fire pit, and plenty of parking. Close to downtown, gorges, wineries and u-pick farms, this quiet setting with relaxing ambiance is a wonderful space for a home-base while visiting Ithaca and the Fingerlakes!

Beautiful, private location at the top of Ithaca Falls. A bedroom with a queen bed for 2, a sofa that can sleep 1, a private bathroom, and living room. There is no kitchen or dining room, but there is a a small dining table, two chairs, a microwave, a coffeemaker with coffee, filters, disposable tableware, a toaster, and a mini-fridge (in the closet). It is a 5-minute drive to downtown Ithaca and Cornell University. Ithaca can easily be reached by car, bike, bus, or foot.

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing stay with Susie! Perfect location - centrally located to most everything Ithaca has to offer. While we had a pretty packed agenda, it was great to talk with Susie and it’s clear that she loves meeting new people and sharing her home with others. Always felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Bedroom and bathroom were both pristine, as was the common areas we shared. We really appreciated the oatmeal and snack bars to help fuel our hikes! And Zylo, her sweet pup, was a great addition to the space and made it feel all the more like home. Can’t recommend staying with Susie enough; we will definitely be back!

Peaceful large room in new house

Wonderful stay! Amy and Valerie are incredibly warm and kind; the visit felt like being with good friends. :)) The home is gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable, and there is freedom to fully use the well appointed kitchen and enjoy the sitting room and big comfy couch. And the bedroom was spacious and peaceful with a delightfully dreamy mattress. (I slept like a baby.) Speaking of babies, they were just lovely with my 23 month old grandson and had amenities for him too! (Pack-n-play and baby seat for eating at the table.) :) They were great conversationalists as well! We chatted about many things…and we also had freedom to be in the home and enjoy solitude. On a personal note: we made this trip pursuant to serious sickness in the family, and they extended great grace at a very difficult and chaotic time. That was above and beyond human kindness that was deeply appreciated. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this AirBnB. R.J. is a truly great host. There was a big storm with a power outage. He immediately messaged me and within minutes was delivering a lantern. It matches the pictures exactly. The space is comfortable, clean and well appointed with everything you will need. This property is very peaceful, it feels remote but is only minutes from downtown Ithaca. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, do not look any further.

Had a great time staying at the Tiny Home. Fabulous location, and just the views you'd want to wake up to when living lakeside. The place is clean, well organized. The kitchen is well stocked. Also great idea installing a power-washer for the shower ... kidding ... the shower pressure is definitely helpful for a long hike. Hope to be back, and definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in Ithaca!! Dan and Haya were wonderful hosts - they were very responsive, and Haya met us at check-in to show us around the house and the small path through the woods for a shortcut down to the road. She is lovely and so welcoming!! The place was as described, very clean, and in a peaceful location with the sound of rushing water outside. We easily walked to the Cornell Arboretum, Wildflower Garden, and to the Vet School. We would love to stay there again!

Writer's Retreat in Serene Home

I stayed at Writer’s Retreat for 4 nights while visiting the university. For a solo traveler like myself, it was the ideal accommodation. Firstly, Jane-Marie was very friendly and accommodating. I had to modify details for my stay at a few last minute points, but she was not only responsive but more than helpful throughout the entire process as well. Secondly, the house is situated very close to the university, being within just a few minute drive. However, unlike other options I looked at, it is also quietly tucked away - offering both the privacy and peace from what can occasionally feel like an otherwise hectic college town. The fact that the house doubles as a meditation site helped with that feeling, and I also loved waking up every morning to the view of the garden right outside my window as well. I had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this location for other travelers looking for a peaceful trip.
