Clarences house in Gander Bay South was everything we needed and more. It was our home away from home. Very clean, modern, everything you might need is there. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived two hours earlier than check in and Jessie had it ready and allowed us to go in early. When we entered the kitchen it had so many extras, which we greatly appreciated. The fresh bread, muffins, milk, juice, eggs and snacks. They also recommended Nick’s Place restaurant just down the road. Wonderful time. Would highly recommend.

We have had great experiences in Newfoundland but Joelle and Jordan’s place was the standout. Supremely welcoming and generous hosts. Just great company. And very talented artists / musicians. We stayed on the van mostly as a nostalgia trip as one of our favourite past trips involved a VW bus. I was surprised how comfortable the bed was. Best sleep I’ve had on the trip and an absolute bargain. We had access to the rest of the house as needed so it was, to my mind, better than a room. More private. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home In a quiet location over looking the water! The house was clean and they had everything you could ever need there to use! The starter groceries were soo thoughtful and delicious and greatly appreciated! Would stay here again if in the area! Hosts were great and provided recommendations when asked for places to eat!
