Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cape Charles

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in early May for a Girl’s trip! House was very clean and cozy. The back yard was nicely done with the sitting area, corn hole and fire pit! We enjoyed the front porch as well! Love the close proximity to restaurants and shops!

While somewhat spare in furniture and niceties, the place was clean and well-situated for all that you’d want from the lovely Cape Charles area. The property is wonderful, wooded and quiet. And having a full laundry set-up was very nice.

I HIGHLY recommend staying at Casa de Coconut! The house is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is updated and very well appointed (with labeled drawers/cabinets and plenty of space for our food, which I appreciate)! It matches the photos and descriptions perfectly. It's an easy walk to the beach and literally one block to restaurants and the best ice cream shop ever. It has a great outdoor shower. We also recommend you rent golf carts for fun tooling around the town. Bradley is super responsive to any question and even accommodated us getting into the house a bit early on this trip when our plans changed. This is the second year we've rented this house (two families, each with 2 boys ages 8 and 11) and we will absolutely be back next summer!!

Cute and cozy, this house has unique and unusual features because of its age that make it an interesting place to stay. Loved the frog song from the wetlands in the neighborhood and the proximity to various waterways and scenic views.

Cheri’s house was perfect for our family’s annual long weekend in Cape Charles! Everything was easy to find with her clear instructions, the house was cozy and had all the amenities one could need, and we actually liked staying a little farther from the action. Everything is a short golf cart ride away and the street was quiet and friendly. The game closet was such a sweet bonus! My kids got up at 6 on their first day of summer break—go figure—and it was lovely to have some new games to play until everything opened. We already booked for next year!

An absolute dream! The Bee House was appointed ever so thoughtfully with guests in mind, from the great beds and linens, to the perfectly stocked kitchen and locally sourced gift basket, our family found everything we could ever need as arms length. The location as perfect, just steps from the park and a 5 minute walk to down town. Our stay was effortless. We all kept saying how lucky we felt to be staying here. We will all be dreaming of the relaxing front pouch until next time.

Rachel’s place was wonderful. She provided clear instructions and the house was so clean and welcoming. Only complaint is her bathrooms only had 3-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - if you plan on staying I’d advise to bring your own toiletries. Other than that everything was wonderful!

Wonderful hosts. Thought it might be weird staying in someone’s guest home with them right next door but was not at all. Would definitely return and stay here again. Place was very convenient to restaurant and was in a quiet neighborhood.

We had an excellent stay at the Fish House- right on the water with beautiful views and peaceful morning cups of coffee on the deck. Michelle was very responsive and provided great recommendations on everything from restaurants to kayaking spots. While the marina is a working business we did not find that it negatively impacted our stay and in fact it enhanced it since the employees there were very kind and courteous. We can't say enough about Michelle's hospitality- she has a true gift! We wanted to have direct access to abundant kayaking and this was for sure the spot to be. While we paddled the creek/inlet area we also found the Oyster Point paddling trail (just a few minutes down the road) to be a great excursion. We will be planning to return!

we had a very good stay! The place was very close to a few museums and within a 15 min drive to great restaurants and other attractions. The two bedrooms were perfect for a family traveling with children and the extra small child amenities were excellent!5/There were a few issues during the stay (WiFi went out and a small sink problem in the bathroom) but the host got them fixed immediately! I'd definitely book this property again!

Maia’s place was super clean and comfortable, the bathroom was nice and it was exactly as described. We had a nice stay here.

Anne's place was just spectacular! Perfect for 2 couples as our home-base to explore Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. The high end furnishings are beautiful. The patio, yard and lake view were wonderful. We enjoyed the theater room each night. Thank you for a great vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Carla & Shannon’s place. Everything was neat and in order. The check in was super easy & flexible. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and walked around the town. They’re both very quick to reply back & we had a chance to talk with Shannon in person & she was super sweet.

Steff's place is great! This is our 4th year staying here on our way down to the beach. She thinks of everything you may need for your stay and responds quickly to messages. she eveneaves treats for the doggies! Highly recommend!

Clean and Spacious for Four people. Great kitchen Space. But could use a better couch Seating in living room. Bedrooms. And beds were great. Would rent again.

Exactly as listed, close to everything while still being far enough from the main island scene so there was plenty of peaceful quiet. We requested a later checkout and Matt was able to communicate quickly with other guests following our stay to ensure that it’d be alright for us to squeeze in another hour. The dock on the property was a nice place to do a little fishing. Overall great Airbnb and we would book again.

Wow. What a stunning place with high ceilings, beautiful decor, lots of windows, a great roof deck, and a fabulous location in the center of the historic business district.

We had a great stay with our two children in the Dolphin Suite! It is extremely spacious and the amenities were so nice. Literally right on the beach, which is private and beautiful. Having simple things like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, basic cooking essentials (oil, spices, etc) makes such a difference and the beach amenities are endless! We were requesting early check in and in the hurry to let us in, laundry detergent pods were not placed in the unit. I messaged Merlyn and she dropped off multiple detergent pods within minutes. We would definitely stay here again!
