Apartment holiday rentals in Caniço

Our stay at Jorge’s place was fantastic and we would highly recommend it to any active travellers. The accommodation was just perfect. We felt safe, comfortable and relaxed when there, although we were mostly out exploring the wonderful island. The parking can be tricky but if you were like us and out from 5am and back at 3pm, parking was never an issue, although tight spaces (I recommend getting a small hire car!). 30-40 minute walk to the centre of Funchal and 15-20 bars on the way! The local bars and restaurants were all good but our favourites were Horta and Mau Fetitio if you want excellent food and service. We wanted to go to Il Basilica but they were fully booked most nights. The day trip to Porto Santo is great, very worthwhile and very relaxing but not a lot going on. We went to Pe Na Agua which was really good. Hiring e-bikes is highly recommended. The mountains reputations speak for themselves. Parking at Arieiro gets busy from 5am and costs €20 for the day. Plan well.

Karolina’s place is wonderful - highlight is the terrace with a beautiful view of the city. She was very kind and accommodating for an early check in. The place was spacious and clean.

Our experience here was paradise on earth. Breathtaking view from the property and lovely space overall. Sergio is an amazing host, very hospitable and friendly. We hope to be back at some point

Vasco was a wonderful host. Our only contact was really checkin and checkout process as we had no issues during our entire month stay. The apartment was clean with a well equipped kitchen and is as photographed. We booked this apartment because of the view which really is exceptional! Added benefit of seeing port so we always knew when cruise ships were docked so we could plan accordingly. Location provides easy access to highway in either direction. Comfortable walk to old town but return by bus is recommended. Rental car to tour the rest of the island is also recommended. You do need to be skilled driver as narrow hill roads are no joke. We walked to local Padaria Pastelaria Mariazinha for coffee and pastries. Highly recommend for digital nomads/long term stay. Very quiet neighborhood and always felt safe. We brought earplugs because of previous dog barking comments but never used them. Recommend if you want authentic experience. Had a great stay.

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

We spent 10 days in Madeira in a beautiful apartment. Excellent facilities and sparkling clean. A wonderful terrace. A folder with all kinds of information about the house, surroundings, eateries, etc. We enjoyed it.

A beautiful bohemian apartment. Joana has thought of everything, and it was all comfortable and easy to use. wWe appreciated the attention to detail. The space is peaceful, private and spacious.

This airbnb was perfect for my wife and I!!! The airbnb itself was phenomenal! It had a fully functional kitchen (which was an important factor in us choosing to come here due to our dietary needs.) Multiple pots, pans, lids, plates, bowls and silverware, along with spices and oil. Other airbnbs we’ve gone to had only a single pan available. The bed was large (a rare occurrence in Europe!) The bathroom was clean, had great lighting, and multiple clean towels available. The windows were big, let in plenty of fresh air and the view outside is stunning! We had a rental car so we could travel all over the island to do nature hikes. This location made it easy for everything; easy to find street parking (which is free after 8:00pm until 8:00am the next morning), easy to get to Funchal, easy access to the highway, a gas station down the block etc. Plenty of restaurants and stores within a 5 block radius. If my wife and I ever came to Madeira again, this is where we would stay! Thanks!

Very clean apartment in a great location close to the grocery store and the beach. Great view over the water. Really nice large patio with furniture in the back of the apartment as well as a little balcony looking towards the water. Street parking is a little tricky if the beach is really busy, be prepared to walk up some hills. Tiago even put together a list of recommendations for the island. We had a great stay!

Our vacation would not have been the same without Igor's accommodation, which is nice, clean, functional and well located. Indeed, the city center is a stone's throw away, the expressway 2 or 3 km, Funchal and the airport less than 1/2 hour drive and the view from the balcony is very pleasant. We chose this accommodation by chance and we were delighted to find ourselves in this small town that won us over. Thanks for everything, Igor, and all the best.

We stayed in this apartment as a family of four, and it offered plenty of space and comfort. Amenities like the washing machine, dishwasher, and fast internet made our stay especially convenient. The location is excellent—close to Funchal and attractions on Madeira’s eastern side—and although the apartment faces a busy road, noise was minimal at night. We would happily stay here again.

Everything was great. The place was super clean, the view from the balcony is gorgeous, there were extra towels, hygiene products and multiple pillows, the kitchen was fully equipped too. Hosts clearly know what they're doing.

We spent a week in this apartment, everything from location to amenities like washer,dryer, beach towels, oven. Great contact with the owner , he quickly answered our questions. Thank you for your kind welcome gift. If we return to Madeira, we will definitely choose Machico and this apartment.

The accommodation convinces with the fantastic view - at breakfast and dinner we enjoyed the view very much! Unfortunately, the nearby main street is louder than expected. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need, especially the washing machine we were very happy to use during our longer stay, in the kitchen you can also cook a little more extensively. The apartment is attractively furnished, but in some places it is a bit outdated. The apartment is outside the city, you should definitely have a rental car, but you can reach some great hiking starting points by car a little faster.

We absolutely loved our stay. The seaside view is incredible and relaxing. We loved the access to grocery and restaurants right nearby and it was nice to be close but not right in Funchal with the crowds. Mariana was the best - met us for check in to show us around and sent lovely recommendations for our stay. We loved cooking at the apartment and listening to the sound of the waves. Don’t hesitate, you won’t regret booking this lovely condo!

Iri’s place was absolutely breathtaking taking!! The view from the balcony was outstanding! You can see the beach. Her place has a washer drier which was super convenient. iri was super friendly and helpful! She is great !!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

The area is very good and the apartment is also very modern and well equipped.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was beautiful and we loved being able to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves. The apartment had everything we needed and was a perfect home base. The host checked us in and walked us through the apartment to show us how things worked which was great. The location was not super walkable to restaurants and such for my parents due to the steep hills, but it wasn't an issue for us and the beach path was great to walk in the evenings. Definitely recommend.

Daniel is a very friendly and attentive host. She followed us from the first to the last minute, giving tips about the area. The apartment is really space and spacious, with two nice balconies perfect for an outdoor breakfast!
