This is our second time at Highrock House. Absolutely love the peacefulness and beautiful surroundings. Every amenity is available at the home - no need to leave unless you want to! This is our favorite place to stay in Idyllwild! We will definitely be back.

What a magical place Josephus (Joost) has created for us to enjoy. Nestled in the heart of the Alabama Hills, this home offers the most breathtaking views of the Sierras and Mount Whitney—visible from most rooms in the house. The design and decor reflect Joost’s incredible eye as a cinematographer; every detail feels intentional and inspired. High praise for his effort in curating such a stunning and soulful space. The outdoor bathtub is a true highlight—bathing under the stars, the Milky Way stretching overhead, or a full moon casting a cool blue glow across the mountains—it’s an experience that stays with you. And if you have the pleasure of meeting Joost, he is an interesting man, exuding a soulful energy that adds even more depth to the experience of staying here. Honestly, I hesitate to write this review because I selfishly want to keep this gem a secret, just so it’s easier to book again. But Joost deserves the highest praise. A truly unforgettable stay.

Wow - 5 stars are not enough - what an amazing place! Beautiful home, very-well appointed and spotlessly clean and set in stunning surroundings. Jody’s great communication and eagerness to please make her a great host - the icing on the cake. We all (4 adults + 1 infant) are looking for any excuse to return! Spectacular view, great scenic trails, quiet getaway, and the best host! Joseph was so responsive, very descriptive with any questions that I had, and made my trip the best ever!

I had another fantastic stay at Kathy’s Airbnb! The drive along Corall Canyon offers stunning views of the ocean, Santa Monica, Palos Verdes, and Catalina Island. Kathy’s home features incredible sunrise views, with gentle morning fog below. The open layout connecting the bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom creates a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Kathy is a wonderful host, always responsive to my needs. If you’re seeking a serene getaway with gorgeous vistas and a lovely host, I highly recommend this place!

The home and the property are even more beautiful than the pictures show. The property is at the end of a dirt road that can seem a bit difficult to find but with the host instructions it leads you right to the property without issues. Every room of the house was clean and set up perfectly with many places to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We made use of the pool, jacuzzi, game room, backyard dining table, and fire pit which were all amazing amenities. The host was also very proactive and responsive making us feel secure even though we had no issues. Highly recommend!

This place is something special and we felt it before we even arrived. We were here with our dogs and it couldn't have been better. The pics do nothing for how beautiful this space is, we never turned on our laptops, the TV or anything. We listened to music, played games, cooked, enjoyed the scenery and the location is perfect for exploring Lake Siskyiou and Mccloud Falls , Castle Lake, the list goes on. We will be back 100 times. We also just want to say thank you for sharing this space, it was exactly what we all needed.

Location was private and peaceful. Restaurant recommendations were super. Town is about a 25 minute drive from the house and is very quaint and walkable. Host was very responsive and detailed. Property decor was lovely.

The place exceeded our expectations — it’s even better than the photos! Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. We especially loved the music collection, and the kitchen was fantastic — I cooked a steak dinner and it turned out perfectly. One thing to note: there's about a 1,000-foot dirt road leading up to the house. It’s manageable if you’re careful, but encountering it unexpectedly while 500 miles away from home on a multi-day road trip was a bit stressful. Overall, highly recommended!

My wife and I decided to celebrated our honeymoon here recently. We had such an amazing time, honestly the house was so perfect. It was quiet and peaceful our entire stay. The pool & spa were 10/10, we made sure to enjoy the water everyday. My wife & I look forward to staying here again in the future. We highly recommend staying here, it’s perfect.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights, and it was absolutely peaceful. Just what we needed to unwind from our busy jobs. Our goal was to do nothing, and this place was perfect for that. Private location (we didn’t even need bedroom curtains!) and a great layout. We paid extra for the jacuzzi, and it was totally worth it since the water stays cold even during the day. note: only the jacuzzi is heated, not the pool, as stated. Areas for improvement: both rain shower heads had mineral buildup, making post-pool rinsing a bit tricky. We’d read reviews about this and hoped it would be resolved, but it wasn’t. Lots of dog hairs were on the carpets - I am allergic to most of the dog hairs - and was sneezing a lot. Still, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back. Next time maybe with one more couple :)

We've enjoyed many Airbnbs, but this is the first one my son has cried on the way home from. He missed the animals and Deanna so much that before we got home he was insisting on booking again! The week we spent at Hopps Hollow was so special, and we will miss our daily routine of feeding the animals and going for a swim. Deanna and Michael are so warm and inviting and everything we needed (and more) was provided. There was plenty of kid-friendly stuff (play pen, step stool, high chair, booster chair, baby gate, training potty, toys, books, even diapers!) and adult stuff too (Netflix, Xbox one, snacks).

Had a lovely stay at the property in early summer so enjoyed the outdoor spaces more in the evening. We read several reviews that mentioned the outdoor dome not being as it looks in the pictures, but that’s not true. We laid under the stars every night and were able to see them clearly. The pictures made it look very secluded, but there is an RV group about a block away that ran a generator all night and a handful of the nights had stadium lights going which made it hard to fully enjoy the night sky. This isn’t anything to do with the hosts or the property, just the neighbors not being super considerate.

Various viewpoints and activities on the property so that you can choose your own adventure! The hosts were quite gracious, too! And the AC worked wonderfully….thank goodness ☺️

The host created a very welcoming environment. The place was beautiful and well kept/maintenanced. They were very responsive if we had any questions.

Very fun place, my daughter absolutely loved it. Proximity to Disney was perfect, quiet neighborhood. Dan was great, responsive, gave clear instructions, and the tree house had plenty of privacy. A truly unique and memorable stay!

Mark and Chris’s desert pod was the perfect end to our journey through Death Valley, we loved how peaceful it was. The sunset and sunrise was the most enjoyable along with sleeping with windows wide open and showering with the views. Lots of cool rocks around too!

The Hexagon exceeded my expectations! If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful gateway from the city or just want to be one with nature I would recommend the Hexagon. The property was beautiful - my favorite was the bath tub overlooking the valley. The town of Garberville is quaint and the locals are kind. There are not a lot of options for restaurants but the ones available are delicious. Some of the feedback is me being picky. For example the mattress and couch was okay. There was dog hair on some of the furnitures - kind of expected for a dog friendly accommodation. A microwave and extra toiletries would’ve been nice. Otherwise a great place. My partner and I enjoyed our stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! Would personally recommend having an suv as the dirt path was rougher than initially thought, but easy to navigate once you do it once. The cabin itself is so peaceful, with complete privacy and separation from the main site. The outdoor shower and fireplace were the best part that we thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely recommend stopping in a bigger city to grocery shop as the options nearby are limited and some of the stocked goods were expired. Overall definitely recommend and we'll be staying again next time we're in the area!!

My family enjoyed this location more than any other AirBnB we have been to. A real treat in the midst of nature. Very peaceful, comfortable. We hope to be back someday.

Beautiful view. Perfect place to gather family with differing inside and outside spaces. Kitchen is large enough for several people to be working on meals at the same time. A bit of a backroad adventure to arrive the first time, but easy enough once you get accustomed to your surroundings. Enjoyed our stay

The host was the reason I rebooked. She brought fresh flowers both times, and checked to see if I needed anything throughout my stay. She was extremely trustworthy, hard working and very lovely, caring person! Highly reccommend if you want a peacful place to work and/or relax. I cant wait to book with her again.

A beautiful home in a perfect, quiet location. Exactly like the photo's with everything you need. The host was very pro-active with information and although I didn't need to contact them, felt they were always available if needed.
