Chalet holiday rentals in California

Four of us (and a dog) stayed at this location for a ski trip and it was great. It was relatively close to the lodges, everything inside was clean and as expected, and the pathways to the parking behind the unit was well maintained (although this year the snow isn't crazy like it was in the past two years). We did hear a lot of footsteps from the unit upstairs but that wasn't an issue for us. The Internet was stable, and most of the lights were dimmable and it was so pleasant to be able to adjust the brightness as needed.

Clean, organized, and full of everything you'd need. The owner clearly put a lot of work into the space and it shows. Many Airbnbs are bare-bones but this one is not. So many labels and instructions!

Stayed here multiple times. Perfect little getaway with beautiful views. We'll be back.

An amazing home with all needed to just relax and enjoy!!

Whitney’s cabin was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The home was clean and had all the amenities listed. We enjoyed the popcorn and board games. The view is amazing. It was very dog friendly and even had bowls and treats available for my pup.

This house was so nice and clean. The house was stocked with plenty of linens and supplies. Monique was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed and provided thorough instructions for check in and check out.

Paul is friendly and his home is a gem if your looking for a quite place surrounded by nature. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the upstairs bedroom deck with our coffee watching the sun come over the foothills. The Hawley Grade trail is within walking distance if you like to hike. It’s also an easy drive to get into Meyers and South Lake Tahoe.

This place was perfect. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful surroundings. It was very clean. A nice added touch was some ice cream and desserts in the freezer along with a frozen pizza which eased our budget from having to eat out one evening. I would definitely recommend this for anyone touring Yosemite National Park. It was an easy drive to the south entrance of YNP and Bass Lake. Oakhurst was close for grocery shopping and restaurants. I'm so glad that we chose this place for 4 nights stay while touring the Yosemite National Park and area.

A very comfortable and cozy cabin close to Pioneer Trail in South Lake Tahoe. Plenty of room for everyone with 4 bedrooms and a cute backyard with a hammock surrounded by evergreen trees. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen had everything you may need, and the host was super helpful and responsive. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Rob’s place was a cozy comfortable place for our family of 5 to get some R&R.

very highly recommend this location- local next to all the stores (vons - stater bros) 5 -8 min drive to the little town , less than 5 min to big bear lake - host responded quick and attentive. my family enjoyed our stay here, everything was very clean and sanitary. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

We went with a friend's family and there were 4 kids aged 1,3,4 and 5. The jungle gym was an instant hit. The backyard was gorgeous and plenty of snow to play with for the kids without having to drive or go anywhere. Warm home , warm host , basic common sense rules and simple instructions. Good location just a 4-5 mins drive to King's beach. Had a great time - couldn't ask for more.

We loved our stay at the Mill Valley Chalet! We felt super comfortable and at ease right when we walked in - mellow/calming instrumental music was playing, what a nice touch :) Being surrounded by redwoods, in a home made from redwood trees was magical. We loved that we could walk across the street and down the stairs into town. There were various delicious restaurants (we highly recommend Flour Craft Bakery and Piazza D'Angelo) nearby as well as a market and little shops. Super close to incredible hikes in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (NPS) and Mt. Tamalpais too. We really loved sitting out on the decks amongst the redwoods, and even saw a buck with large fuzzy antlers. The kitchen has everything you need including cooking oil, coffee, tea, and spices; the showers had nice water pressure; and the beds were pretty comfortable - the downstairs bed was a little firm, and upstairs medium firm. Matt and Krisztina were easy to communicate with, too :)

Scott and Tim were so responsive and helpful. Their house was absolutely perfect for our trip to Yosemite. They had everything we could possibly need. The house was extremely comfortable. The kids especially loved the “kids club” in the garage.

This house is perhaps the best Airbnb I've stayed in. A few things that stand out: - incredibly clean. - any and all kitchen extras you can imagine (coffee grinder, cocktails mixers etc.) - every detail was of high quality. Everything in the kitchen worked wonderfully, the couch was comfortable, the lighting was fantastic. - Great location! Right in front of the golf course. would highly highly recommend!

The cabin in Arnold was absolutely perfect. The space was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed — from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy furnishings that made us feel right at home. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, from the labels on each cabinet (which made it super easy to stay organized) to the abundance of games that kept everyone entertained. You can tell the hosts really care about creating a welcoming and comfortable experience. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun — I would absolutely stay here again!

The W House was a very nice relaxing home. Jen was an amazing host and always kept in touch. This place has lots of room for a family of 11 to spread out and have their own privacy and was fully stocked. The view and peacefulness was incredible. Hot tub was a huge plus as well as the deck and Blackstone Flat Grill which we used for all of our cooking. Nothing like cooking bacon and eggs outside in the early morning surrounded by redwoods. We went fishing, dirt biking and laid out by the nearby lake. S’mores night around the fire pit was a hit! Main Street Murphys for some wine tasting and ice cream made it for a fun and relaxing time for the whole family. We will definitely be back!

Cozy spot on the lake. The kids loved staying in the downstairs room - there is even a trundle bed with 2 twins that I don’t believe is in the listing. Dock right in front made it easy and fun to fish and do water sports, fairly protected from the wind so water was usually very glassy.

We had such a great stay! Quiet neighborhood, clear instructions for everything, super clean, everything was labeled —-just an absolute breeze! This is a nice house for anyone looking for the quiet of the forest. Rita and Nathan give local recs for everything. We went to Murphys for meals and wine tasting and visited the local parks and state park to get some fresh air. Kitchen was so well equipped for all our meals. If you have little ones with you, this place is a godsend. They had toys, pack and play, a crib, childproof cabinets, child proof plugs, childproof furniture—it made our lives a little easier not having to chase after the kid constantly. The fireplace is non-operational and they currently don’t have a washer dryer. Both would have been nice but we were only there a short time. And Rita and Nathan said they’re in the process of renovating so that could change by the time you book. They were honestly the most helpful hosts and so responsive. Wonderful stay!

it's a fantastic place to isolate from the world, great location with balcony on the lake .

I was so happy that this place popped up as I was looking for a secluded, quiet and cute place just to take a break from parenting and people/the city in general! Oh and for my birthday weekend! It was even better in person versus the photos, beautiful view and calm surroundings. Everything that was needed or even could potentially be needed was already in the house! It was also nice that a good number of food places are about 10 minutes away. I stopped at a drive thru to get dinner for my first night before checking in! I also brought my little dog with me and she enjoyed everything about it too, especially watching the ducks lol. I would totally stay here again and have already recommended it to others. Worth every penny!

This is a spacious cabin in a beautiful spot. We loved being surrounded by snow. It did take 24 hours to warm up though the loft was always very warm. The beds were super comfy - they even had flannels sheets. Lots of room for everyone.

lovely place to get away from your regular daily routine. peaceful and friendly neighbors. Host was quick with responses for questions. very friendly and flexible. loved our stay. Want to return for another trip soon.
