This place was amazing. Photos don’t do it justice! We were able to bring our 2 dogs and they loved the river and had an amazing time! Beautiful town and not too far from San Marcos. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a perfect private get away!

Martindale River Ranch on the San Marcos

MarlaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Fantastic location with very easy river access. Gorgeous section of the San Marcos river with big rapids downstream, as well as relaxing waters upstream, and nice and shallow at the property. Huge backyard with fun stuff for the kids, amazing amenities, games, a wall sized TV and game station. Kayaking up the river was so easy, boats were ready to go! All this and the house is beautiful, very well laid out, spacious, and welcoming. We would definitely return!

River Bend Cypress, Riverfront, 2 acres on River

AbigailRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This place was amazing! We had a big group, and there was plenty of space for us. The backyard was beautiful and backs right up to the river. Also, we were only about 10 minutes out from downtown San Marcos where there is tons to do. Would definitely recommend this Air Bnb!

Best Spot on the San Marcos River!

BradenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Good host, quick to respond. House was clean and well stocked. River is easily the best part. Steep walk but concrete and steel stairwell make access easy. Ankle deep water to at most waste deep. Located at a v of a river. lot of area to hang out in. Lots of shady trees near the river edge. Might need to bring a tent if you plan you stay in one spot and not move ALL day due to the sun moving but can definitely get by on what’s there. It was a great time. Also a big porch hangout area with lots of space.

San Marcos Riverfront/Sleeps 8/2 acres

TiffanyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My extended family of seven adults stayed for a week. The house was pristine, and we appreciated the cleanliness. The house had great A/C although my parents didn’t discover the second thermostat in the room with 3 beds until the last day. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and have privacy. It was terrific to have 3 full bathrooms. The only complaint we have doesn’t have anything to do with the house or the owners. It was the water hyacinth that filled the river. We had high hopes of hanging out in the water right in front of the house and that wasn’t possible. We did float the river, but we had to be dropped off upriver. And we got out at Don’s Fish Camp because there was too much hyacinth in the river for us to easily float to the house. I mention this problem because people need to know that river access might not be as expected during certain times of the year when the hyacinth is exploding. Other than the river issues, we loved our stay.

Lots of space, plenty of beds, and great indoor and outdoor kitchens. Recommend bringing your own drinking water.
