Cosy Karibu cottage with stunning canal views

Saoirse RhiannonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful time at Jane’s beautiful cottage. It was spotlessly clean and in a wonderful, peaceful location. Jane left bird food in one of the cupboards so we filled the bird feeder and were delighted to see lots of lovely birds in the garden. The cottage is very homely, cosy and comfortable and the hosts keep coffee, tea, cooking oil, spices etc in the kitchen which was a very lovely touch. Unfortunately, the hotel next door is closed but there are lots of lovely restaurants in Lochgilpead. We also travelled to Tayvallich and had the most delicious fish and chips at the Tayvallich Inn - we highly recommend it! Overall, this is the perfect place to relax and adventure around the surrounding villages and towns. We really hope to come back again one day!

Ben Reoch Boutique Suite, Dramatic Loch Views

DerekRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A superb place to stay, very quiet great view of the loch. Very clean apartment, some nice touches like small bottles of wine and chocolates on arrival and some milk in the fridge !! No problem finding it or parking there. Can walk down to the harbour where there are various cruises around the loch. The Tarbet hotel which has a bar and restaurant is only three minutes walk away. Karl provides an excellent guide to local places to visit, places to eat and walks in the area - very useful. Overall a great place to stay for a holiday in the Loch Lomond area. Would definitely recommend to any couple wanting to stay in the area.

Peaceful lochside Highland retreat

AnnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely stunning setting on the loch - we got to see gannets diving one breakfast time. It made a great base for exploring the area, both to the west and to the east. We felt very lucky to stay there. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable.

Argyll Retreat by Lock Eck. Argyll Forest Park.

Robbie is a fantastic host. We travelled nearly 7hrs to get to the location and I asked him if it would be possible to check in early. He was so so flexible and couldn’t do enough for us. We were able to check in at 12 which really really helped us out. The lodge is in a great location if you enjoy walking or exploring. You have a beach nearby as well as loads of walks. We went for dinner in Dunoon at the 51st state which was very nice! I also left my jacket at Robbie’s lodge and he has been kind enough to return it to me. Lovely place to explore… thank you

Columba Lodge, St Conan's Escape: Home with a view

TashRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a lovely stay at Columba! Views were incredible over Loch Awe. There were lots of nice little touches inside the cabin. Kitchen was well equipped and we cooked dinner there a couple of nights during our stay. The host even prepared some homemade birthday cake for us! We stayed in June and did not have any issues with midgies at all.

The Hogget Hut, hot tub and *BBQ hut

BenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Karen and Charlie have done absolutely amazing with this place. They’ve created a little slice of heaven. Our stay was absolute bliss from the moment we arrived. Waking up to a view of the mountains and Loch Voil, seeing red squirrels and pine martens playing in the trees across from the hut, the sound of the running stream as we slept and unwinding in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars whilst listening to the sound of the owls. It is honestly like a scene from a film. The most perfect romantic get-away. Karen and Charlie are such gorgeous people, they’re warm and welcoming and I’m so grateful they are open to sharing their special home. A perfect stay all round. We will 100% be back. Thank you again guys.
