Magical! Surrounded by astounding beauty and the sounds of nature, this is a writer’s paradise! The photographs do not do justice to the view from the porch — we sat on the porch for hours, from drinking coffee & watching the fog in the early morning light to watching the sun set behind the mountain to stargazing at night. Sara Jean & Liam were always very responsive and Stanley’s hospitality (their friendly pup) made us feel right at home! Sara Jean is also a brilliant reiki teacher and offered a wonderful session to close out our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet place away from the hustle & bustle of the world in beautiful nature, this is the place.

We had a great stay at this property. The home itself was very clean and the host was extremely responsive, which we really appreciated. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful—it was a lovely space to unwind. Having a spot to park in the driveway was also a big plus. While we didn’t feel entirely comfortable in the town, we felt very safe and at ease inside the home. It was a space where we could relax and breathe. One small note is that the water filter hadn’t been changed, which made us a bit hesitant about using the water, but otherwise everything inside was well cared for. Overall, this was a solid and comfortable stay, and we would definitely rent here again.

My mom and I stopped here on a quick trip and wished we'd had more time to stay and enjoy it. The setting amongst the redwoods is so peaceful. We loved walking down to the river, which was incredibly beautiful and also very peaceful. We both slept well. It really felt like a retreat!

Wonderful spot in the heart of the Avenue of the Giants! Great value for our one night stay and would love to visit again. 100% recommend!
