Monthly Rentals in Bourg-Charente

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Pascale is charming. Communication was very easy and she was considerate and attentive. The room is nice and the bed is very comfortable. The directions were great. I recommend it and will be back!

Beautifully quiet, rural location with nearby walks along the banks of the Charente. The host is helpful and welcoming. The kitchen is compact and there’s not much prep space but it’s fine for simple meals. The bed is very soft.

Very good hosting by Nadège. This small comfortable studio was very clean and perfectly matched my expectations: completely independent, functional kitchen, clean bathroom, soothing decor, very good sofa bed bedding, parking in the courtyard right next door, wifi and network available. Great for medium stays. I recommend it and will go back without a problem.
