Monthly Rentals in Berkhamsted

We loved our weekend in Jilly and David’s beautiful property. We couldn’t fault a single thing. The property is immaculate, very clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, with all amenities thought of. It was a welcoming home from home. We had two wonderful nights of peaceful sleep and woke to splendid views in the mornings. The property sits in the most gorgeous private gardens, with direct access onto an easy walking path through scenic meadows that lead straight to Ashridge House (it takes around 20 mins). We enjoyed meeting Jilly and David, who are the kindest hosts. We really enjoyed speaking with them about the local area and the work they had put into their lovely garden. They were very welcoming as soon as we arrived and explained where everything was and how it all worked. They gave us lots of tips about places to eat and visit with our two children. Bonus points for meeting Alfie, their sweet, friendly, well behaved dog! We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Amelia let us book 4 days instead of 5. The instructions were clear and precise. The house was warm and inviting with a few Xmas decorations which was nice. The house was within walkable distance to the town centre and close to where our family stayed. Amelia let us stay a few extra hours after the initial check out time. Will definitely stay agsin.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bakehouse! The house is lovely, and the garden is absolutely beautiful. Excellent location, too. Perfect if you're looking for a peaceful stay but still want to have easy access to shops / restaurants and the train station. Thank you so much to Jeremy for flexibility around check-in and quick responses – and everything else!

Just got home to Vietnam after 2 weeks in the UK. My fiance and I stayed at Sarah's for a rest after a couple of busy days in London. I know Berko well after going to school there, it was great being based at Sarah's place. It was lovely clean super comfortable, surrounded by green fields and an easy walk from from their top of their hill down to the town and station and back again. We are looking forward to staying there again next time. Thanks so much..!!!
