Cabin holiday rentals in Bayfield

A beautiful, well-built home on the river. Inside was clean and comfortable, but outside was where we spent most of our time: wrap-around porch, hammock, and sitting by the river. Next time we will bring fly fishing gear. The location was about 20 minutes outside of town on a scenic drive through the country. There was poor cell phone reception there, but that's probably what most guests want--to be disconnected from the business of life. One warning for future guests: this home has some intense motion-sensor lights for security. It's a rude awakening in the middle of the night, but it's fun to watch a family of raccoons waddle across the yard!

Beautiful view of the lake. It was very peaceful. Place had lots of cups and utensils and cooking pans. Also had lots of cooking oil and butter and spices for cooking. Even had a grill to use. Hot tub was perfect. Place had no ac but like the instructions mentioned to leave a window open and it keeps the house cool. Upstairs had a fan. Also had washer and dryer which came in handy. A dog door, dog bowls and dog bed. It was dog loving cabin. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed Hummingbird at Elk Point Lodge. Nolan and Olive were easy to work with and communicated everything clearly. They were responsive to all needs. The cabin was very clean, as well as the hot tub. It’s a really beautiful and peaceful location with great amenities. Will do again soon!

My husband, me and my three children truly enjoyed our stay! We tried to go to Dolores twice a year and more excited to know that we found a new place for the family to stay everything about. It is absolutely perfect we just wish we could bring our dogs 🖤 It was easy access the river was beautiful, cozy outdoor firepit ! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking! The house was well stocked of anything that we needed that we may have forgotten and the host was extremely easy to contact when needed. We notice some flyers for the ranch next-door and was able to enjoy an afternoon of horseback riding one minute from the home!! The next day, we went ouray our favorite place ! Next time we’ll be sure to make a stop and Telluride again! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to our family we are so grateful!!! 🖤 the Anderson family !!!

This cabin was the perfect winter getaway! Located just a short drive from Purgatory Ski Resort, it’s nestled in a peaceful, secluded setting surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of snow. The cozy cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the serene atmosphere made it feel like a true escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to the slopes!

Our family of four truly enjoyed our time at Joe’s place. We could not have asked for a better place to come back to after a day of skiing. The house had absolutely everything that we needed, was clean, and very comfortable.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Beautiful, remote and quiet log cabin located high on hill with great views. It is decorated with wonderful Native American art throughout…such a peaceful feeling. Hot tub, several large decks and BBQ area were amazing. Kitchen area was well equipped and made dining in enjoyable. Plenty of room inside and outside for privacy with group of 6 adults. Deer all over property and night sky was awesome..no light pollution. Lori and Rob are first class hosts and responded immediately with any questions. Very flexible and caring people. I had SUCH a wonderful stay at James and Kims' lovely cabin. It was adorable and comfortable. Close enough to town to easily pop in for groceries and such but still had that wonderful "away from it all" feeling. The cabin is located on a beautiful property with a gorgeous stream running right behind it and beautiful views of the mountains all around. James and Kim were extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough!

This is a very rustic gem away from everything, I absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I’ve never seen so many stars at night in my life! Elena was incredibly friendly and the hospitality was phenomenal!

This is a wonderful oasis in our busy busy world. Anne was super responsive and provided loads of good advice for area things to do. We hope to return in winter or fall as there is so much to see and do... yet could see ourselves simply relaxing in the cabin.

My husband and I had so much fun last year at Amy's place, we had to come back! We love winter activities, so if you are looking for a private little getaway to do some hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or XC skiing, this is the place for you! I also love that this little cabin, although remote, has all the amenities you need to be comfortable just as if you were home. I have a very demanding job which requires me to work even on vacation, so I really appreciated the fast and reliable WiFi so I could check email and stay plugged in. The furnished kitchen came with all the necessary cooking essentials and appliances to make our trip easy. All we had to bring was a cooler of food. The cabin even comes furnished with a TV, washer and dryer, so you can pack light! Amy has always done a great job communicating with us and has been so helpful keeping us apprised of the snow report leading up to our trip. This is a must-visit location! We'll be coming back!

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we came back. Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting - it makes me want a wood burning stove at home too.

An absolutely amazing place. I loved the privacy. I was able to take my SUP to the lake and had it mostly to myself. Place was spotless and many bedrooms which were not pictured. Nice and close to Meas Verda. The view of the lake from upstairs was breathtaking. I would love to come again.

We had to escape a storm while camping & Darcy’s cabin was perfect! Lots of windows & a great front porch to watch the rain come down. There is a little pond that you can watch from the cabin & so many birds! Even though there are a couple houses close by, the cabin feels very private & the trees make it so that you feel 100% alone & private. We would love to stay again when we’re in the area!

We had a great time! If anything, the pictures (which were great) did not do it justice. It was secluded but with the ability to easily go into town when needed.

The Pine Needles cabin is an ideal spot near Vallecito Lake. There was easy access to a paddle board put in, great hiking in the area, and some excellent fly fishing. The cabin has lots of great space, amenities, and the views are phenomenal.

The cabin is really nice and a lot bigger than expected. Location was perfect and amazing backyard. Little light pollution made for great star gazing.

Cabin was simply amazing! Longer drive off the main road, but nothing to be scared of. The cabin was great and just as described. The proximity to Lemon Reservoir and the Florida River was perfect. Easy 30 minute drive to downtown Durango. Beds, kitchen, bathrooms, outside patio, et all were great and just as described in the listing. Would definitely recommend and wishing we were already back there. Thank you Janet and Victoria!!

This Durango home truly felt like a retreat! Every morning started with breathtaking mountain views. We were lucky enough to see a bunch of deer and even an eagle right from the deck! We spent cozy evenings around the campfire and loved how peaceful everything felt. The location was ideal—tucked away enough to feel surrounded by nature, but still close to downtown for restaurants and activities. The host was very attentive and made sure everything went smoothly. We’d love to return and definitely recommend the house to anyone visiting the area!
