Monthly Rentals in Bark Lake

We just got back from a lovely stay at the cottage on Spectacle Lake, and even though the weather wasn’t on our side, we truly had a great time. The rain kept us mostly indoors, but the cozy fireplace turned out to be a blessing we spent our time just relaxing, listening to the rain, and soaking in the peaceful vibe. The cottage itself is tucked away in such a private, serene spot. Waking up to the sound of birds and looking out over the calm water from every window was incredibly calming. Everything was so clean and well cared for. Waking up to birdsong and calm water views from every window was such a treat. I was thrilled to finally spot a few beaver lodges in the Madawaska Valley — a small dream come true! The cottage was clean, the docks looked great, and having fresh drinking water available was such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. We didn’t get the clear skies we hoped for to stargaze, but that just gives us a reason to come back and we definitely will.

We had a wonderful time at Barkview Hideaway! The owners are clearly experienced hosts, you can tell as soon as you walk into the chalet. They do a great job anticipating guests' needs. The place is cozy, comfortable, beautifully maintained, and fully equipped with everything you might need and more. Nestled in the forest, it offers stunning views of the lake. The lake itself is gorgeous. We visited during a peaceful time and barely saw anyone else around. It felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. A unique experience! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. Thank you for providing everything we needed for a perfect getaway!

We loved our stay at Victoria’s beautiful house and property. The house was very comfortable and decorated to give a very cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The woodworking and renovations are beautiful- loved the photo album showing the process! The kitchen was fully stocked with quality dishes and cookware. The full size fridge, stove/oven allowed us to make home cooked meals with ease. The Keurig machine was a great addition for the coffee lover in me! The large dining table allowed enjoyable puzzle time and relaxing dining. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! The large deck and outdoor furniture let us enjoy the beautiful scenic property. A fireplace and wood were ready for use. The place is minutes from a beautiful beach. The golf course is nearby and very nice. The drive in any direction is scenic. Local grocery stores are a short drive to town. The welcome treats were a fun bonus that we enjoyed! Victoria is a wonderful, responsive host. A+ communication and checkin/checkout

This cottage was absolutely breathtaking, it was exactly what we were looking a great place overlooking the water, peaceful, relaxing great for all of us to enjoy and unwind. The amenities are endless, kayaks, paddleboards, hot tub, hockey table, hammocks, and an EV charger. We went as a group of 11 and this place was more than spacious. The beds were luxuriously comfortable, the place was immaculately clean! It honestly felt like home.
