Enjoy a cozy king size bed, with 4" memory foam mattress topper, a garden tub, a shower built for two, with scenic views and a fireplace for chilly nights in beautiful Valle Crucis. A perfect place to get away from it all. Private bathroom. Private entrance. We have wifi but cell phone reception is not the best.
“Dawn’s place is clean, QUIET, with amazing, soul nourishing views, and an historical setting. She ostensibly connects back over 200 years of US settler history. The family was a lynchpin of education and progress in the Appalachia, and staying at Dawn’s AirBnB connects you to all that. We even found a time-tunnel that transported us back a century, but can’t reveal too much of that here ... 😉. And yes, there a very responsible young lady who made sure the sweet dogs stayed quiet and well behave. Many thanks to her for being at once gracious and graceful, it’s rare in today’s teenagers.”
The "Hut" is less than one mile from the red light in downtown Banner Elk. Only a fifteen minute walk or less than two minute drive will put you in the heart of this quaint little town. Less than half a mile to the local brewery and only a ten minute walk to the town park. The owners are on premises and very attentive to the needs of their guests. Those interested in hosting parties should look for other accommodations. Strict no pet policy. The space will only accommodate two guests.
“DUDE. This place is AH-MAZE-ING. Johnny and Sallie are hosts who geniunely care and the actual accommodations are perfect. Upon arrival I got to meet Johnny and he gave me tons of great recommendations of places to go and also pointed out lots of really unique nature things in their very backyard. The view is so magical and the actual space is really open, well laid out, beautiful hardwood floors, and open windows to the crickets, sun, and moon! It has everything you need in a mountain getaway. I am so happy I stayed here. I stayed solo but I would def return with a friend or partner for a longer stay. I also spent a few nights in town at Banner Elk at an expensive bed and breakfast prior because the hut was booked… and maybe I am just partial to being closer to nature because I have been in a city— but the b and b was nothing in comparison to this. Totally recommened as you see in all the reviews… and the guest book that you can read through after you stay :).”

“We had a great time at Leslie's! We came with two young kids and it was so nice to have toys, books and a highchair available. The covered deck was perfect for the on and off rain. Great location, very close to Boone. The goats are adorable and the whole property was just beautiful. We ran into Leslie and her husband a few times and they also asked if we had everything we needed. We arrived without coffee and panicked for a minute until we saw some kcups were already available! Oh and the shower has great water pressure which is always a gamble. Hope to be back soon!”
