Holiday rentals with lake access in Balsam Lake

We had an amazing time at Tamara’s beautiful cottage. Everything inside this little gem was perfect —the furniture, the decor, the appliances, the bedroom, the front porch. We absolutely loved the location and had a great time walking and biking around the lakes, and also just hanging out on the porch drinking some & listening to music thx to nice BT speaker Tamara was a perfect host, made us feel very welcome immediately. We will definitely be back!

Our family had a lovely weekend. Even though it was rainy, we had plenty of things to pass the time. We took advantage of the pickleball courts and the pool - a great addition to the coziness of the cabin. The owners were communicative and extra helpful to us after we accidentally left some items in the cabin after check out. My mother expressed that she wished she could've stayed all week, and is already making plans to go back next year. I would highly recommend this cozy cabin to anyone looking for a weekend getaway!

My wife and I just stayed at FishTail Lodge! It was Perfect! Pictures were exactly how the cabin appeared. Tom is an amazing host who responds to any question quickly. Check in and Check out was easy. The Cabin is in a Wonderful location and is spotless. There is so much to do within the property itself. From Relaxing at the fire pit, to the screened in porch or on the pontoon. There is a pool table, darts, and ample games and movies. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We have rented other cabins in the past, I would say, without question, this is the best place we have rented in every aspect. If you are reading reviews in order to help decide if this is the place. . . This IS the place! Rent it! You won't be disappointed.

I spent the weekend at their cabin and really enjoyed the stay. Did some cooking in their kitchen and they had every kitchen utensil I needed to make a quality 3 course meal. Would definitely stay again.

This was a home away from home with all the amenities we needed & then some. Reisa was a very attentive host. We are hoping to stay again at the end of summer when we visit again. The massage chair was definitely a bonus! Didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks but for sure at our next visit.

The location was beautifully set on a lake. It was nice being on the end of a row of cabins and homes so that we didn’t feel like we were being disruptive of other guests in the area. The lake view was awesome. The house was very nicely updated with great finishes. Bedrooms were small and packed with beds but the quality of the bunks made up for the tightness.

Our stay was everything we were looking for plus some additional amenities! It's hard to find a place that can accommodate our dogs and feels safe for our 2 year old but this cabin was fun and relaxing for everyone. We will definitely be coming back

This small unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay. As a host, Lucie was very communicative and her hospitality was thoughtful and gracious. She provided snacks and bathroom toiletries. With a couple of quirks, everything worked as it was supposed to. One quirk was that the shower will spray water out into the bathroom when you turn it on unless you make sure that the curtain is pulled. Another is that when you turn on the TV, the screen just shows snow, so you have to figure out how to use the remote and the menu system in order to watch Netflix. There is apparently no general TV, if that matters to you. Wi-fi was fine. The lake location is pretty and quiet. Lucie offered us the use of her kayaks. However, it's not really a neighborhood where you can go for walks, so this is a location that you either can use as a base for doing other things in the area, or a place to relax in, along with the deck where you can sit outside. Lucie does a good job for her guests.

Nice cozy spot for the family to stay. Felt right at home. Would stay there again!

Space was great for the 2 of us, our friend joined for 2 of the nights and it was great all around. It's so walkable to everything. Host was very responsive to my questions.

So great that we came here a second time! This property is a slice of heaven. Gorgeous sunset views. Kayaks and paddle boats were perfect for our young family being able to paddle to the sand bars and enjoy the lake. “Serenity” is such a perfect description. We will be back again next summer, Lord willing!

It was a great place to stay for the weekend

I was on the road for 23 hours before finally arriving at Tina’s. It was my first time to Minnesota and I am very glad that I chose her place for my family and I. It was peaceful, clean, quiet and very homely. We slept so soundly. It felt as though I hadn’t left home in how at peace we were. Tina responded to any queries I had promptly. I was clean, the kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom is very clean. The only downside for me was that I didn’t book her place for a longer time. I am definitely going back for a longer visit. If you’re still reading this please book already before someone else takes your dates. You won’t regret it one bit! 😀

This location was fantastic for our family of 3! The home is lovely, immediately felt comfortable and we were able to enjoy the outdoor deck area so much! For families, this is a fantastic location. 2 blocks to the beach, one block to nice park on a quiet street and the hosts were amazing at having the home baby proofed and ready for our arrival. Overall, it was the little touches and kind hosts that make this place truly stand out, can’t wait to visit again!

If you ever want a true lake house experience with all of the fun but none of the dreaded lake house chores this is the place for you. It’s cosy and comes with all the amenities. The owner is a genuinely nice person. You are within driving distance of several “oh fer cute” Minnesota towns and the lake is right outside your door!

Fantastic meet in the middle location for an annual cousins weekend! Love having 4 separate sleeping arrangements, 2 bathrooms, fantastic kitchen and coffee bar! Not to mention the spacious dining room table for meals and playing games. Spacious upper-level deck with the cozy and easy gas fire pit! Paver steps to the lake with another beautiful landing and wood fire pit! Good restaurants, shopping and winery with live music all so close make it so simple to enjoy a little of everything. Fantastic, responsive, and helpful host just minutes away with messages on the app. Can't wait to repeat our visit. We felt at home and LOVED our stay at the cottage on Lake Wissota. Thank you!

We have stayed at Little House several times before and it is always a wonderful experience. I would say it's our favorite Airbnb location in the Twin Cities and if it's available to book, we always do!

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Jordyns place was exactly as described. Plenty of room for all our family members. Extremely well stocked with towels, cooking and eating supplies, and other essentials, very clean with a relaxed and comfortable vibe. Definitely one of best Air B & B we've stayed at. Very responsive to our Questions and kept us informed as our check out day arrived. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family . Thank you for a great stay!

We enjoyed our Minimoon here. Was great. Nothing bad to say, other than we clearly didn’t thoroughly read the posting because we were shocked that it was a guest house! Our fault. But anyway, very clean and nice! Would for sure recommend.

We have stayed at this house 2 years in a row and it’s a blast every time. Super clean cabin and deck area. Deck has plenty of grills for whatever you need. Fishing pond is awesome with fireplaces located nearby. Sere was super responsive whenever we had questions.

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous!! It has so much to offer with a beautiful view on the lake, a hot tub, a fire pit area, a beautiful walking trail, and so much more! It was the perfect place to celebrate a bachelorette weekend and so many amazing memories were made here. The host was very helpful and always answered any questions. The house was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and cleaning products that made it easy to stay there. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage in the future because it was the best weekend!!
