Holiday rentals with a kayak in Balsam Lake

This was a home away from home with all the amenities we needed & then some. Reisa was a very attentive host. We are hoping to stay again at the end of summer when we visit again. The massage chair was definitely a bonus! Didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks but for sure at our next visit.

This place was amazing, clean, and had everything you could ever need for a trip to the lake. A well stocked kitchen, fishing poles, a million movies and board games. The beds were comfy and clean, the garage was stocked with everything from paddle boards to water ski’s to wood splitting mauls (sorry we split all of the logs). We spent our rainy weekend fishing, kayaking and sitting around a campfire cooking s’more’s. The hosts were flexible and responsive to questions and made us feel super welcome and taken care of. We will absolutely be back. Thank yall!

Really nice and tranquil place on the lake with great sunset views and fresh air. Wonderful place to get away and relax. Very peaceful atmosphere.

My family and I came to stay at Beth and Joel's for a weekend while we attended a family wedding in downtown Minneapolis. They were incredibly kind, gracious, and communicative during our booking process and stay. The house is perfect if you're looking for a comfortable space for a large family. While every member of our family is 21+, there are plenty of elements for all ages, especially for kids. Even though there was weather for a large part of the weekend, we weren't fazed with having so much room and indoor activities. We only wished we had the opportunity to stay longer! If we ever make it back to Minneapolis, we'll be looking to book this spot again. Thanks Beth and Joel!

We stayed here for a girls’ weekend and the house was perfect for us! Modern, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the little lake outside the kitchen window and enjoyed hanging out on both the front and back porches in addition to making s’mores around the fire pit. Beds were comfortable and so were the couches! We loved the big craft table for doing puzzles and playing games. It was close and convenient to Stillwater, too. A really great home for a weekend getaway!

Stefanie and Jenny were both responsive and helpful with the questions we had. Cabin was lovely and as advertised in the BnB post. Overall had a great stay and would stay again / highly recommend this spot to friends / family looking for a solid weekend get away. Thank you! Justin Gounili

I’m Gabe, founder of Bear Lake Coffee Co., located just down the road from this cozy cabin. This January, I hosted a few wholesale clients from Chicago here and couldn’t have asked for a better space. The cabin offered breathtaking sunrises, and the kitchen was perfect for making a delicious beef stew in the crockpot—a warm and hearty treat during the cold spell when the temperature didn’t climb above 5 degrees until our last day. The cabin was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable setting for my team’s annual planning offsite. The views of the Northwoods were stunning, making it a fantastic spot to unwind and connect with both nature and our goals. Mark’s cabin is a gem in the heart of Wisconsin, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene retreat. Thank you, Mark, for creating such a wonderful space to host guests!

We had a great stay! We enjoyed the deck area and the kayaks especially. We would certainly return again!

The house was super clean, exactly as described. Peaceful, quiet area. The beach areas were very nice and we had them to ourselves basically. The golf course was great and the PAR3 course was great for the kids to try. Caught tons of fish straight from the shore, the club house is walkable, overall it was great, would highly recommend.

If you ever want a true lake house experience with all of the fun but none of the dreaded lake house chores this is the place for you. It’s cosy and comes with all the amenities. The owner is a genuinely nice person. You are within driving distance of several “oh fer cute” Minnesota towns and the lake is right outside your door!

This is our second visit! We love the space! It is extremely clean and welcoming. There is lots to do or you can just relax right there, you don’t have to leave to find things. She welcomes you with goodies and a personal welcome note. She is a great host!! We feel like we are coming home!!!

Ted and Lori were amazing host, and when stepping into the Airbnb it shows how they care for the place and the experience of guest.

Stacy’s place was cute and cozy for our five person group. We especially loved the assortment of games and puzzles that were available and the family history of the cabin!

Jordyns place was exactly as described. Plenty of room for all our family members. Extremely well stocked with towels, cooking and eating supplies, and other essentials, very clean with a relaxed and comfortable vibe. Definitely one of best Air B & B we've stayed at. Very responsive to our Questions and kept us informed as our check out day arrived. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family . Thank you for a great stay!

We enjoyed our Minimoon here. Was great. Nothing bad to say, other than we clearly didn’t thoroughly read the posting because we were shocked that it was a guest house! Our fault. But anyway, very clean and nice! Would for sure recommend.

This home was in a lovely setting. We enjoyed walking around the camp as well as sitting at one of the numerous outdoor tables and watching wildlife and scenery. The Garden House is spacious and was just perfect for our group of four friends for a retreat!

Kevin’s space was perfect for a long weekend. Well-stocked, good space for a larger group, and close to Hayward. It was fun being on the lake and watching snowmobiles fly by! Great vibe.

the place is perfect for outdoor lovers. you really have everything you need and a bit more to just get in the lake for fishing and exploring. the kitchen has all the utensils and utilities (minus dishwasher) you need to prepare your food or even bake. the place is amazing for hiking as well. the house is next to the road but it’s not a very busy road. you’d hear a truck or so driving by but not a regular car. we’re ready to come back later in the year!

The cabin is in a beautiful area with a nice, short little path down to the river. We enjoyed sitting on the steps by the river and watching the birds. The cabin is clean and comfortable with a screen porch where we could appreciate the nice views of the surrounding trees. We ran into an issue after checking in, but the host was very attentive and resolved the issue to our satisfaction.

It was a beautiful and relaxing time!

First stay ever with just myself and my children and grandson, best vacation ever. Easy water access made kayaking/ water board so convenient and just that more enjoyable. The cottage was so cozy and comfortable with most everything you need as far as kitchen/ bathroom amenities. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
