Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bahía Drake

Wir haben unsere Zeit in dem Haus sehr genossen. Wir konnten viele Tiere beobachten und haben nachts dem Dschungel gelauscht. Von unserer Terasse aus haben wir unter anderem Spinnenaffen, Kolibris, Tukane und Agutis gesehen. Nancy ist eine sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereit Gastgeberin.

Een heerlijke woning op een fantastische locatie midden in de natuur. Vanaf de bovenveranda heb ik genoten van alle vogels, vlinders, en van de Jezus Christ hagedissen en twee kaaimannen in de vijver. Het is een goede uitvalsbasis voor een dagtocht naar het Serina station in natuurpark Corcovado. Kathrin heeft ons een gids aangeraden die goed Engels spreekt. Boek vooral ook de rondleiding bij Finka Köbö aan het begin van de onverharde weg, die was erg de moeite waard. Tip: maak tevoren printscreens van de route instructies en de toegangscode, je hebt namelijk geen mobiel bereik onderweg.

Absolutely amazing spot! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived ! The grounds were just gorgeous and full of wildlife! We loved the outdoor kitchen which is so roomy and lets you hear all the monkeys and birds! The kayaking near the place was fantastic! We had fun fishing and seeing all the mangroves! We can’t say enough good things about the hosts who cooked many delicious meals for us and were just generally amazing! Room was perfect and comfortable with great decks for looking out over the grounds! Just a wonderful experience in some of the best natural surroundings!

Super schönes und großes Haus 5 Minuten entfernt von Puerto Jiminez. Haben hier 2 Tage verbracht und und sehr wohl gefühlt. WLan und Netflix funktionieren super und auch die Küche hat alles was man brauchen könnte. Janina ist immer sofort erreichbar und hat mit Josh jemanden in der Nähe der helfen kann, falls es Probleme gibt. Wir konnten früher einchecken und später auschecken, sowie Flaschen ausleihen. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

If you want to unwind in the jungle, this is it. The house is beautifully built and you have an amazing view of untouched jungle. This is off the grid in a good way. We loved Ana and Juan, the caretakers. My friends stayed here before and mentioned that Ana cooked for them and taught them, too. When I told her I was interested in learning some dishes, I went to the grocery store with her and then she taught me a new Costa Rican dish each night as she cooked dinner for my family. It was so fun. Ryan was great to communicate with—gave great recommendations for things to do in the area. I loved the sounds of the jungle all the time. There is no TV which I liked. My husband and four kids played games at night instead. We also had every beach to ourselves. We didn’t see any other tourists except at the supermarket and down near matapalo. All the beaches were empty with just my family all day. What a great experience.

All of the reviews are correct - Nichole and Mario are the best hosts you’ll ever encounter. I booked this airbnb months in advance and right away Nichole reached out with suggestions on the best way to navigate travel to DB. She worked with a company in Sierpe to arrange a private boat ride to snorkel at Caño Island with lunch included and then for us to be dropped off directly onto the beach in Drake Bay where we were greeted by Mario who helped us carry our bags to the house. Our rental car was perfectly fine in Sierpe and we didn’t need it to get around Drake bay - everything is within two blocks. We couldn’t believe how amazing just the transport was, and how out of their way these hosts went to make that happen. Best part of an unbelievable 8 days.

Nous avons adoré ce lieu. On a vu des perroquets. Les hôtes nous ont accueilli chaleureusement et venait nous porter des fruits à chaque jour . Nous avons passé 7 jours où la tranquillité et intimité était au rendez-vous. Je le recommande sans hésitation.

Guiselle was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay here. It was a great base for us to visit Corcovado from, and we were able to store our bags too. The property was exactly as pictured and super clean. Would come back again

Muy lindo el alojamiento, la anfitriona siempre atenta y muy amable!! Quizás lo único que faltaría sería un aire acondicionado jaja por el calor que hace en Puerto Jiménez pero fuera de ahí muy lindo todo!

Great Airbnb, it's a little apartment just for yourself surrounded by nature. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. The bedroom is nice and has a TV. The AC works well but is a bit noisy. Tamar and Alberto are super nice and friendly and also responsive with communication. Perfect location if you want to visit Corcovado or surroundings. I highly recommend.

Wir waren leider nur kurz da, aber die Unterkunft ist sehr cool! Aussicht top und sehr Nahe am Strand, Restaurants usw.! Vincent war super nett, hilfsbereit und sehr flexibel! Wir würden jederzeit sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Excelente alojamiento! Don Durman siempre estuvo pendiente de nosotros por mensajes y muy amable con cada consulta que teníamos, además Doña Carmen su abuelita fue muy hospitalaria y el perrito "mambo" es la mascota del lugar y muy amigable. El Airbnb es exactamente como lo describen e igual a las fotos, todo muy muy limpio, zona segura y tranquila, privado, todo funciona perfectamente y las instrucciones fueron claras. No tenemos ninguna queja, fue una experiencia muy amena y de seguro que volveremos! Muchas gracias a Don Durman por un excelente servicio en este hermoso lugar 🙌🏻✨️

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

Sebastian nos recibio a nuestra llegada, nos enseño la casita y nos indico que actividades podiamos hacer. Ha estado disponible cada vez que lo hemos necesitado. Es un gran anfitrion que se preocupa de que sus huespedes esten a gusto y disfruten de la estancia. La casita es muy acogedora y lo suficientemente cerca de Drake Bay para hacer actividades pero a la vez en una zona muy tranquila. Mejor ir en coche ya que el camino de vuelta a la casa tiene algunas cuestas.

Erick was a great host. The house was perfect for my friend and me. It would also be appropriate for a small family—a couple with two kids. The apartment seemed brand new. New tile, new appliances, new air conditioning units. It was quite beautiful. Erick gave us a great suggestion for a restaurant. There was a bike rental nearby as well as many stores within walking distance. Even the dock for the Corcovado Park tours was closeby. I would definitely recommend this place.
