Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ashtabula County

Great spot to get away and relax. Views of the lake are beautiful. The location is peaceful and quite with alot of drivable towns and fishing in the area. Kids had a great time, we will return.

Wendy's Lakehouse was exactly what my husband and I needed for our mini-retreat after our daughter's wedding. We were mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted when we arrived; but after a couple of days of complete quiet and privacy in the house, walking and laying on the private beach, listening to the water, watching the sunsets, and basking in the fresh Lake Erie breezes: we felt restored and refreshed. The only thing that disappointed us was that we couldn't stay longer... life rolls on! 😅 Within hours of our arrival we were making plans to return- next time with our 4 sons- as soon as possible! We even were dreaming about bringing future grandkids in years to come! 🥰 Thank you, Wendy, for providing this peaceful retreat!

Erik's place offered great value for a pet-friendly accommodation. It was as described in a cute little Ohio town (we were travelling along I-90 and decided this would be a good place to stop to break up a longer journey.) Our party was 4 adults and a dog - while I wish there was a second bathroom, there was still plenty of space for our needs. Erik provided just about everything we could want for an overnight. Check-in was very easy. The house is located on a side street that is a dead end - great for a touch of privacy and safety when taking the dog out for a walk. One additional thought - there is a train that goes by the town a few times a day, including the night - it didn't bother me, but if the sound of a train bothers you, this might not be the right town for you. That said, Erik's place was great for us! Thank you for a very convenient and comfortable stay!

The house was exactly as described, in a quiet location, within walking distance to Lake Erie and a few restaurants (check out Sparky's Place for dinner). We appreciated the little touches; labels on the cabinets, board games, small snacks on the table. The house felt like home. We would absolutely stay again if in the area!

We came to Jason in the time of need and he took us in. Hosts were very helpfull, even though we changed planes, or rather plans were changed fo us. I can surely recommend this host, and the place needs no recommendation. It is beautiful, and everything one needs was there. Thank you!

LOVED this house! Someone with a degree in interior design must’ve been involved in the decorating bc it looked like something out of a magazine. And the view was absolutely stunning. Also, as a mom with small children, I loved how we were right on the water but high enough up from it that I didn’t have to worry about my kids walking into it while playing outside. I also loved the location of this house. We were right in between Ashtabula and Geneva on the Lake so it was a little more peaceful than being right in the middle of GOTL. My family preferred Ashtabula anyways as it had more of that quaint old town charm. The house also had great storage which may sound funny, but I love to unpack and really settle into the home. It seems like so many places don’t provide that anymore. Anyways, I would totally stay here again!

Great house, super spacious and clean, close to everything, can walk to restaurants and activities and the water. Great for people watching. My family had a blast staying here for Memorial Weekend. When the tv went out, Donald replaced it immediately. We would stay here again. Be sure to get donuts from Madsen’s Donut shop- so good.

A very well priced, nice place to stay, especially for our needs! Had everything we needed for a good stay. The only down side was it being next to the freeway, which made it hard to fall asleep at times, but of course the owner doesn’t have control over that. The instructions for booking, check in, and check out were clear and easy. Overall, the stay was very welcoming, nice, and worth it—there is plenty of space in the house, the appliances are relatively new, the rooms are nice and comforting, and the bathrooms are very clean. If I am ever back in the Geneva area and in need of a place to stay, this would be an easy go to!

was everything described. very clean and in walking distance to a lot of places. was stocked very well. loved the firepits...just curious what all the thousands of bugs are this time of year there. they were everywhere...nasty lil things!! would definately stay here again. thank you for hosting us.

I have never been to an AirBNB where I have felt so loved and taken care of. Ann’s communication is beyond expectations and the little acts of love that she places around the space is appreciated beyond words. She goes above and beyond to give you j formation about the space and the town and we were blown away by the welcome basket and s’mores kit. I said throughout our visit that I was most impressed that she treated us (absolute strangers) as through we were longtime friends who she wanted to make sure every need was addressed and taken care of. What a gem of a human and the space was so cozy and peaceful. A million thanks. What an added gift this place was to our visit.

With working out of state for 7 months and jumping from hotel to hotel it felt warming and at home walking in Andreas property I highly enjoyed making a coffee and sitting on the porch. This home is full with kitchen utilities, a thanksgiving dinner could be made with all they have to offer. The washer and dryer are in the basement which is really spooky but it’s safe I never experienced anything creepy. Overall I would stay back at Andrea’s property if back in Ashtabula

A wonderful space perfect for a larger group on a trip. Quick access to many restaurants, stores, and local attractions.

Beautiful and peaceful little garage/studio apartment. It’s not really meant for couples. Maybe more for like a single person or 3 single friends. The water comes from a well and has a sulfur smell which is common according to the internet. If you have a sensitive nose I would not recommend staying here. (Water smells like Nair or burnt hair) other than that we loved staying here. Super quite!

This place is AMAZING!! It looks just like the pictures. It had everything we needed. It was spotless, the bed was very comfy, and the garage was an added bonus! We were in town for wrestling at Spire. The location was super close to Spire… just a few minutes away. There’s several good restaurants within a 10 minute drive. And we met Bob! He was a great host, very friendly and responded to any questions right away. And he did all the beautiful carpentry and construction on the property. This is definitely a 5 star property! We will be back!!

We stayed here after our Wedding that was about 10 minutes away. The place was beautiful and very clean. The host was super kind, responsive, and very accommodating. We even had the most delicious homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived! When we woke up we got to enjoy the beautiful patio, it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay!! Thanks for having us!!

Great place to stay when you are visiting the area! Awesome view and it was nice having the beach right there. Very close to all the wineries and of course GOTL downtown area. Recommend.

If you love sunsets and sunrises, this place has both! As soon as you walk in the unit you are drawn to the balcony to view the endlessness of Lake Erie. The unit was clean and had the basics we needed to make light meals for a week’s stay. The indoor pool was perfect for the rainy Memorial week weather; the kids loved it. The building was very quiet and well kept. It was also very conveniently located to the strip. I’d definitely go back if I could. Thanks for being so responsive to my questions, Shawna!

This place was amazing! The view is perfect, everything is exactly as pictured. The communication from the owner was quick and efficient every time. They had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of super soft towels and washcloths, comfy bed, everything we could need for the kitchen. The smart tv and the shower were wonderful. We had a relaxing getaway and would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

We stayed at Michael’s condo for 4 days. It was just as described on the website. It is a nice, older complex but the condo itself has had renovations. The complex is right on Lake Erie with a beach front. We were unable to use the beach due to weather but it is a lovely setting. Nice balcony with lake view. There is a convenience store & restaurant right across the street. There is a park just down the street. Geneva on the Lake strip is close by & we saw many using golf carts which are available for rental close by. The condo is well stocked, with extra linens. Kitchen looks well stocked though we didn’t cook. Everything was in working order. Comfortable bed & plenty of closet space. We would stay there again if in the area. Michael was very responsive to any inquiries. We had no problems at all while there.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. She loves Lake Erie so I was looking for a place close to the lake. You can’t get much closer to the Lake than this place. We really enjoyed our stay.

Debbie was very responsive and when our Keurig stopped working she made sure we had a replacement 10 minutes after messaging her - well before morning coffee! Very clean and well-equipped. Only concerning issue was the fact that the bedrooms are interior rooms with no windows or fire egress. This is no way is a reflection on our host but a big thumbs down to the local building codes that allowed this building to be built like this as it appears all units are like this. With that being said I would have a hard time returning to this building out of safety concerns. Again, the unit was super clean and well equipped. Excellent host!

We came for a girls trip and had a great time. Lots of laughter and great memories. The condo was beautiful. We had a nice view of the lake from the balcony. Debbie, our host, was very informative. She gave us lots of information about the area and the condo before we arrived. She was quick to respond when we sent a message.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning! The condo was very spacious with a great lake views. Debbie was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!
