Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Amherst County

Fleetwood is charming! The two bedrooms are big and comfortable. The photos are clear that the third bed is a pull out sofa. The kitchen is big and easy to make a meal for a larger group. Kristen is very responsive, helpful and flexible. Thank you!

Very nice house! Well-equipped kitchen, owner was awesome and supplied eggs, milk, and OJ along with snacks, which saved us when we got in late. Very responsive and nice during all communication.

Rebecca was an outstanding host. An amazing person and a pleasure to be around. The property and house were exactly what we were looking for during our weekend of history. The horses are amazing to be around and the property is so peaceful. It’s a different feel there. The house was beautiful. Highly recommend

We had the good fortune of staying at Mary Catherine's place, and even though it was just for one day, I’ve never felt so relaxed. The house is absolutely stunning, offering a variety of thoughtful amenities and clear, easy-to-follow instructions to enjoy them all. The view is truly breathtaking—you can admire the mountains while listening to the peaceful sounds of birds and local wildlife. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would absolutely hope to stay longer. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Lovely little house with lots of thoughtful touches! Enjoyed our stay at The Overlook with easy access to downtown Lynchburg and the historic districts.

We loved the attention to detail that Danielle gave with our particular stay. We were there for a graduation and she included a grad balloon and we also had dogs and she provided a little goodie bag for them and dog bowls, etc. Nice touches!

This place in the mountains is BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to stay longer. I was there for my graduation from Liberty University. It was about an hour away, but it worked for me because the property was large enough to house all of my family and friends. Jennifer was VERY responsive. The kitchen was amazing. There is a Food Lion about 6 minutes away down the hill, and restaurants. My grandsons and niece loved the outdoor play area. My husband loved the fire pit. I loved sitting on the porch on the swing. We LOVED that there were plenty of outlets! THANK YOU for hosting us! We will be back! Dr. Beth Dickens & Family

Great place with the most amazing quality towels, and great bedding and furnishings. Fun to play pool, and to enjoy the backyard tranquility.

It’s really hard to say adequately how wonderful our stay here was. We were here for our son’s college graduation & military commissioning at Liberty University, which is only about a 15 minute drive but feels worlds away from the chaos of the graduation. We almost didn’t consider this place because of having to share a bathroom with 3 teenagers. But the bathroom was so large, incredibly clean, & had so many towels & towel racks it didn’t feel difficult at all. I sat out on the front porch or on the Adirondack chairs every day. And our family used the covered patio area they built off to the side for several meals with extended family that would pop by. Mike & Alice are fantastic hosts. My husband’s favorite part with how friendly response if they were with anything that we desired, even restocking the waters. I loved the history they put together about the house. It really is such a great place and made our trip incredibly special. So special it may ruin every other Airbnb for us.

Loved staying here! It was perfect for my husband, baby and I. The renovations were beautiful and honestly had a lot of thoughtful little details! It was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Sherry and her husband were great hosts! The apartment was awesome. There were so many personal touches and amenities that we really appreciated. We really didn’t get to enjoy much of these because we were attending graduation ceremonies and related activities around campus and separate parties. We would definitely love to come back here to really enjoy it. We definitely highly recommend the Captain’s Quarters to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay.

What a dream! I am so happy I stayed at Winston’s bnb. I needed a place to stay in Lynchburg for a month and this was the perfect spot. Not only is it centrally located (making it so easy to explore downtown without having to drive anywhere), but the apartment was so lovely, historic and so much bigger than it looks. Tall ceilings, old architecture. Felt as if I was staying in a piece of history. The secret garden and stream/waterfall in the back was a great way to relax and unwind. Winston was such a great host, really appreciate her communication and sharing Lynchburg with me. Overall it was such a great stay, wish it didn’t have to come to an end. Hope to visit again in the future.
