Guest house holiday rentals in Alkmaar

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We spent a week at Jan and Marina’s place and have enjoyed our time there. A really delightful safe haven as a base to explore more of the Netherlands. We did not expect that in the centre of Nijkerk we could enjoy a very peaceful private space to enjoy the outside with turtles and a cheeky squirrel. All amenities are very close with fresh fruit and bakery just across the road, and a pleasant square with numerous restaurants and shops. Larger supermarkets are also within walking distance. Free parking available across the road too. The accommodation was spotless and provided all the home comforts. We have had a very comfortable and relaxed stay, Jan and Marina are a lovely couple and very welcoming and available if we needed anything. Highly recommend their accommodation and will definitely stay again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Astrid and Thijs are fantastic hosts – incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. They gave us lots of great tips on what to see and do in the area, which really enhanced our trip. Their beautiful garden is the perfect place to relax. The accommodation was spotless and flawless. We truly had a great time and would love to come back!

We had a very nice stay at Ton's place. Very quiet place, perfect to rest and to discover Nordholland, its mills and its polders.

Had a lovely (and rainy!) evening :) Even more amenities than expected and felt extremely comfortable. Loved meeting the chickens and the breakfast display. Jaap was very kind and we appreciate his time and help. Thank you for helping us start our Dutch adventure peacefully!

Good in every way and very friendly host.The host has prepared a variety of small beers. The💖 interior of the house is relatively old, and everything else is worthy of recommendation.👍

Loved our stay in Karina's houseboat. Location is fantastic! Set on a beautiful canal, deck is perfect for an afternoon drink.

Tatjana is a very warm hostess, she showed us the house and gave us many tips for the area. Our 3-night stay at Tatjana's house was very nice. There was nothing missing. Communication was also flawless. Tatjana reacted very quickly and you felt very well taken care of. The location right next to the lighthouse (good orientation aid😊) was simply fantastic. It was very quiet and yet you were 2 minutes away from the beach or the shopping mile with many shops, restaurants and cafes. We were also very happy about the private parking. We highly recommend this sweet accommodation and would be happy to come back.

I was really touched by the host's kindness. Thanks to the host who came out to greet me in person and warmly welcomed me when I checked in, the start of my trip was even more pleasant. The bedding was very comfortable, so I was able to sleep deeply, and the cleanliness of the entire accommodation was very clean and great. Above all, the village where the accommodation is located is so beautiful that I felt healed throughout my stay. The stay at the kukel was after our wedding and we were able to enjoy our fantastic day in our bubble. Everything you need to really unwind. Nice in nature and completely private. A fully and attractively furnished B&B. From a nice kitchen with plenty of materials at your disposal to a sparkling clean bathroom with a wonderful rain shower. The bed was wonderful and the jacuzzi and swimming pond are a cherry on the cake. There are also two bicycles available for you to use free of charge. In short, a fantastically cared for b&b. We had a great stay at Yvon's. The breakfast was great and the cats all very sweet and trusting. We are happy to recommend the place!

A great apartment for families due to the two separate bedrooms. We loved the seperate entrance and the private garden with a slide and swing for our son. Lovely neighborhood. Top shower and washing machine, open kitchen. Check-in was very simple and everything worked well, so we did not have to communicate much. But when we did, it was very pleasant. It is really a great location in the middle of a beautiful villa district just outside Amsterdam. Nevertheless, the city center can be easily reached by bus. Perfect for us as guests who arrived by car. And saves expensive travel costs, saves expensive hotel prices and is still fast in the city center. Everything is very lovingly maintained in the middle of a beautiful garden. A great one-room apartment. DAX is a great host who responded very quickly and very informatively and gave really helpful tips.

We really loved Emmanuelle's place - we absolutely recommend staying! It is very spacious and wonderfully decorated - lots of interesting furniture, fixtures, and decor. The beds were so comfy and the place is very clean. We only stayed one night and it was rainy the whole time so I can't wait to go again when we can stay longer and enjoy the animals and outside areas too. Communication with Emmanuelle was always a pleasure.

We loved our stay at Huis te Krommenie very much. We were warmly welcomed by Bauke and Jeanne and received clear and nice information about the history of the house (a former GP practice) and how the atmosphere of the B&B was created. In addition, they gave us nice tips about the area and good eateries. The bed was lovely and also the "old" shower was surprisingly pleasant. We really enjoyed it and have absolutely no complaints or comments. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this stay!

We had a wonderful stay in the lovingly furnished guest house. Everything is available and everything in the apartment is described in a self-explanatory way. The guest house is very clean, the double bed is very good and everything is practical and beautifully furnished. The location is great and a free large parking lot is not far away. Nel is very courteous, quick to reach and also responds very quickly. Katwijk is also very beautiful, especially the beach with all the beach clubs. Check-in was very easy with a lockbox. Thank you for the great stay. Absolutely recommended.

We were able to spend a week's vacation with our 1 1/2-year-old son at Leah and Tom's and would have liked to stay there much longer. The two have a wonderful, cozy apartment and a fantastic garden that invites you to linger and was a great place for our son to romp and explore. Both in the apartment and the garden, you immediately notice that a place to feel good has been created with a lot of love. There were even a lot of toys for our son. :-) In addition, we want to say one more thing: We have already used AirBnB many times, but we have never had such great, friendly and helpful landlords like Leah and Tom. They were always there to help and advise (especially when it came to tips for activities with our son) and there was always time for a private conversation. Incredibly loving people! We would have liked to give more than 5 stars! :-)

Paulien and Pim's Airbnb was so beautifull! We loved it. And not only did it look fab, it was a really comfortable and relaxing place to spend time. Beautiful typical house, well located because it is close to the center of Laren. Very quiet place with a beautiful garden. Well-equipped rental. We had a great stay in this place.

We had a great 5 day stay in Mischa’s Amsterdam apartment. The unit is very bright, well equipped and spacious enough to spread out. The washer and dryer are an added benefit especially if you are making multiple stops in your travels. The beautiful fresh flowers were also a nice touch. The immediate area, on a leafy canal, is lovely, and excellent restaurants and museums are all within walking distance. Mischa was very accommodating and upon our early arrival graciously arranged for us to drop off our luggage. She also communicated with us promptly and to ensure we were comfortable and that our needs were met. This is a wonderful base for travel in Amsterdam.
