Decorah High Point Magnolia Cabin was perfect quiet get away for our anniversary! Beautiful cabin, wonderful views and wildlife. Very relaxing!

Great place for a quiet retreat with the whole family

Serene, scenic, and so comfortable! We loved our stay at Trout Creek Cabin, and hope to stay again sometime. On this trip, we managed to dodge some rain for a bike trip in Lanesboro one day, and a hike up to the lookout another day. Otherwise, we indulged in the view, took naps, read books, played games, had long meaningful chats, and realized in the hot tub. We couldn't dictate the weather, but we could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you!

We had a great time despite the lack of maintenance and cleanliness. The hot tub was great. The location was private and peaceful and access to the state park was amazing. The owner needs to invest some time and money. It’s a diamond in the rough

We were offered a free upgrade day of our reservation and we accepted...man are we pleased we did! There was way more space than we needed but the nature around us was amazing!!! We loved being able to hear the night sounds of nature as we relaxed in the hot tub! Few things for future folks staying here, make sure to bring either hand towels or paper towels. The home is surrounded by wooded areas so there are many critters around...especially Asian beetles...we weren't bothered but we expected it.

Trout Lodge was a perfect spot for a fishing trip with some buddies. Paint Creek is easily accessed just a few yards from the cabin. Great for fishing and for sitting around watching wildlife. The cabins matched the description, and was well worth the price.

This cabin is remotely quiet away from cities. It is perfectly getaway to unplug and refresh!

This serene slice of secluded comfort with a wood burning stove and fire pit was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is a doorstep to so much natural beauty, and it was well-kempt and well-stocked, with plenty of blankets, towels, and kitchenware. Gabby was quick to respond when we returned from hiking and dinner to find one of the porch chairs blocking the front door, the hot tub wide open, coinciding with a car that seemingly followed us to the cabin honking continuously, raising our security hackles - turned out to be local fisherman signalling to each other, along with strong winds. (The chair proof how strong the wind is out here- the hot tub our fault for failing to place the rock back on top of the cover that morning. So be sure any fire in the pit is fully put out before tucking in or leaving!) Our only snag was slow toilets that would barely flush solids - also master bed sloped to the middle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and will gladly return.

The place was perfect. Had everything we needed, in a great location, very clean and comfy. Will be staying there again. The locked shed for the bikes was very convenient

We have stayed in two different cabins now and enjoyed our time greatly. Great location to go to backbone State Park and visit other towns along the way. Very clean and peaceful. We will be back!

Beautiful cabin in private area. Very quiet and secluded. Lovely decor and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Rick responded promptly to all communication.

Andy’s place was awesome! Perfect little cabin for my motorcycle trip. It was clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

This teeny tiny cabin was perfect for us, as we didn't plan on spending a lot of time indoors. We loved the old time cabin feel. It's just a short walk to the dam and downtown that has restaurants and shopping. The Root River bike trail is the reason we came to Lanesboro. Alayna has a safe place to lock your bikes when not riding. There is no TV so just unplug and enjoy your time in this quaint beautiful town.

My group had a lovely time here! The area was beautiful and so peaceful. All of us could not stop talking about how much we loved it and have already been planning when we want to come back! We hope to return again soon!

Our stay at the cabin was a great time. Andy, took time to talk to us and answered all our questions we had. The deck was fun looking over the pond. We are excited to come back and stay at the bigger cabin.

My friend and I went for a few days as a birthday get away and thoroughly enjoyed our time. From waking up each morning to the beautiful surroundings and absolute quiet, to going on hikes and exploring decorah. The schoolhouse was such a calm and special place. I can’t wait to go back!

We loved our trip, but he only small issue we had that we couldn’t figure out was on the very last night we lost wifi, but it made us truly disconnect so it was a blessing in disguise! We had such a great time in the hot tub, and the land is so beautiful and peaceful. We had such an amazing time there is nothing i would change!

The Firefly Cabin was a perfect get away. Pam’s attention to detail inside and outside the cabin was incredible. Very clean and comfortable. Close to town. I didn’t see the fireflies (not warm enough in early June), but the chirping of the birds on the porch made a beautiful song. I will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Pam.

The pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was clean and very beautiful. There were gifts from the host and this place is very accommodating. The host is very welcoming and kind. Definitely recommend.

Where do we start, this place was exactly what we needed to unwind and get rejuvenated. The cabin was amazing, the property was gorgeous and Craig was a phenomenal host! Always made sure we had what we needed and then some. We just disconnected from the real world and enjoyed the view. Much needed! We will definitely love to visit again. Highly recommend.

I wanted to be immersed in nature and Liz’s cabin was just the ticket! Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful scenery with an amazing backstory for the rustic cabin! I loved our short 3 day stay without cell service and tv, perusing great Liz’s book collection, enjoying the trails on her property and listening to the birds early in the morning! ❤️Liz and her husband were very welcoming and genuine. The toilet and shower were not a problem—in fact we were very impressed with their functionality! These two city folk rate this trip 9.5 and expect to come back again next spring! Thank you for an absolutely perfect stay.

Great unit, summer might be a little warm without A/C. Love the farm surroundings and cows.

We had a quick weekend trip to celebrate our anniversary. This place was a quiet, clean, and very comfortable place to stay. We will definitely try to book this place again when we come to Decorah next!

These cabins are perfect for a weekend stay! Much nicer and roomier than a hotel room at nearly the same cost. The cabins are simple and not overdone, very clean, and in the cutest area. Check in and out is super simple, and we appreciated the later check out time than most hotels. Would recommend these to anyone visiting the area!
