Lovely quite place to stay? Friendly host and nice welcome pack on arrival. Comfortable couch and bed. Very spacious downstairs and wheelchair friendly. The vents can be a bit noisy when the wind gets up. Very little light pollution in some directions if you are into star gazing. The drive is spacious .

We absolutely loved our stay. It is such a cosy, gorgeous house! The hot tub is perfect, nice and secluded so you don't feel like you're being overlooked. The beds very comfortable and the location is brilliant, it's 10 mins into the main town and some lovely walks. I would defintely stay here again. I would say there wasn't much washing up liquid or toilet paper so I would advise bringing more of your own supplies and the garden defintely needed a good sweeping, we weren't able to use the cushions as they'd been left out in the rain. but overall a brill stay and I would definitely recommend! A perfect holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Great views from all the windows and a fantastic garden. It is very warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Welcome treats were a thoughtful touch and Angela has been a great host. Exceeded our (already high) expectations -- one of the best Airbnb rentals I've stayed in!

We spent the weekend at Gill’s beautiful cottage and it could not have been any better. The cottage was perfect in every way and we couldn’t have felt anymore at home. The cottage itself was gorgeous and extremely well kept and the views across the fields were stunning. Gill was a great host and went above and beyond to make our trip one to remember. We would recommend this to anyone and were certainly come back again in the future.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, brilliant hosting space for a great hen do, we even did a pilates class in the glass surrounded space. kitchen was well decked out. it's connected to the hotel next door so amazing if you want to go to bar, out for dinner. house keeping team were great, plenty of towels. only issue was the address shared initially to the one of the actual address so was tricky. I recommend you update this, the actual location is much better. check in/ out was easy collecting from the hotel reception. gorgeous scenery and setting. thank you!

Absolutely spotless cottage, beautiful location and a great place to get about the surrounding areas, lots to see and do on this coast, boat trip from seahouses to see puffins and seals was a highlight, Amble, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick and more. Back to the cottage,peaceful, arrived to Eggs,Fruit bowl,bottle of wine and flowers, lovely touch never had that before. loved watching the animals over the wall right outside the door, hot tub was amazing, literally home from home. I could go on all day. Fantastic place definitely be back. loved it

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great at not just providing information but being very responsive to messages and were very friendly and welcoming. The house had everything you could need/want. We didn't need to use the kitchen facilities much in our stay but there was everything you could need there. The welcome pack provided was very much appreciated containing some lovely goodies, especially the coffee from the Durham Coffee company. It was delicious. The beds were super comfy and loved that they provided both a firm & medium pillow to accommodate everyone's preferences. The whole place was really clean & they had really thought about what people would need during a stay. The hot tub was a lovely addition and some of our party took advantage of it. Others liked the fire pit & the hosts even brought round some more logs for us to have a second use of it during our stay. Loved that every room had an ensuite, made things much easier. Loved the Harry Potter room

The cottage was pristine and a lovely welcome basket welcomed us, along with a blackboard of recommendations which we appreciated. We really loved the area - there's so much to do! Great place to stay with the family and dogs! Incredible walks in the surrounding area, and great place for games nights in the evening! Jeff was incredible helpful and responsive when we messaged him! Would highly recommended for a peaceful stay away!

We had a wonderful stay at Clutter Cottage in Northumberland – such a beautiful part of the world with easy access to stunning beaches and the dramatic coastline. The local seafood spot in Amble that was recommended was excellent – well worth a visit. Michael and Sarah are fantastic hosts. The cottage was immaculately clean and really thoughtfully prepared – the kitchen was well stocked, with lovely touches like local tea, coffee, and biscuits to welcome us. There were even treats ready for Rudy, our dog, which was much appreciated. The outdoor seating areas were perfect for a summer stay, with peaceful views across open fields – ideal for relaxing in the evenings. We’d happily return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Clutter Cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable escape in a gorgeous part of the country.

Lovely old cottage, lots of character. Beautiful garden with lots of wildlife. Great location. Brilliant kind and helpful host. Everything you could need in cottage. Critisism ... could do with some tlc, alittle run down. Damp in some bedrooms. Blinds to kichen and small windows would be useful as not very private especially with downstairs bathroom. Would benefit from deeper cleaning ie. Bathroom, under beds etc Overall lovely time spent in cottage. Thankyou Anne for all your help.

We spent a week at this beautiful cottage for my birthday. We chose Picklewood for the layout, traveling with my dad who is 91 we needed somewhere with level access. The cottage itself is stunning and is a bit of a tardis, it’s bright and spacious and the photos really don’t do it justice, it has a lovely homely feel too. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed, the welcome pack was lovely too. The view of the surrounding countryside is beautiful and the sheep and lambs in the neighbouring field kept us entertained. We hadn’t planned on bringing my sisters dog, but a last minute issue meant we needed to bring her. Aimee was very helpful when I asked if we could add Jess to the booking. The location is so peaceful, but only a 10 minute walk into the village. With a local shop that has everything you could need, a butchers and a renowned bakery. We had tea at the village pub and were not disappointed. If you are looking for a relaxing break you won’t go wrong with this cottage

'Elmhurst' is the quintessential English village experience. It is a delightful and extremely comfortable cottage in a quaint little village. The cottage is very nicely and thoughtfully furnished with comfortable sofas and beds. It is very well-equipped and had lots of thoughtful touches including fresh flowers on the table, milk in the fridge, candles and a fire laid in the fireplace. There is a small back patio area where I sat in the spring sunshine and also a small front garden area facing the road. The road is quiet, especially at night. The Bridge End Inn is a nice little pub directly across the road where I chatted with the locals and enjoyed delicious Italian food. Just walking outside the door of the cottage takes you to lovely country walks along the Tyne river and into the woods behind Ovingham. This is a truly lovely place to stay and I'll definitely stay here again. Chris is a friendly, helpful and proactive host - thank you!

Ideal base for exploring the Northumberland coastline. We had never been before and were delighted to find several dog friendly beaches and several little fishing villages/harbours to walk around. Definitely be visiting again. Seaglass Cottage was an absolutely perfect home from home place to stay and after a busy day exploring the area we could come home and had the beach 50m away for the dogs to play on; they had so much fun!

Lynnes property was such a great find. It offered us (four adults, two children, one dog), such a great place to base ourselves for our week away. The house is much bigger than it looks in the photos and it has everything you need including loads of useful items for small children (toys, plates/ bowls, toilet seat etc.). We definitely recommend Lynnes place.

We have just returned home after a 3 night stay at Merry View. What a delightful place to stay! We wished we’d booked for longer. The cottage exceeded our expectations and was much bigger than we’d expected. Patricia was a very friendly host. She greeted us in person on arrival and was there to say goodbye when we were leaving. She kindly provided some goodies for us as she knew we were celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary. We enjoyed spending time in the cottage (and the lovely sunny back garden) just as much as we enjoyed exploring the area. We hope to come back again soon!

We needed a place to stay while our bathroom was being remodelled, and it needed to be close to home so we could check on the progress of the work. Violet Cottage fitted our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked with essentials (the chocolate biscuits were a bonus) and was simply everything we’ve come to expect from an Airbnb Superhost. Grant was very responsive when we had questions and generally made sure our stay was entirely to our satisfaction. For out of town visitors, this place is close to the city centre, close to the river and close to a lot of facilities, both for basic needs and entertainment. We highly recommend Violet Cottage.

The perfect place for a weekend getaway! Lots of great places to see in the area. Addy’s cottage had everything we could have needed and more. We made good use of the fully equipped kitchen but had some great recommendations for places to eat out nearby too. The cottage is a clean and cosy space and we couldn’t have asked for more! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay at Elyvale. The location is the perfect place to stay whilst visiting Rothbury & the surrounding areas. Such a peaceful place with all the local amenities a short stroll away. The cottage is full of character and was spotlessly clean, and has all you need for your stay. Claire Is a friendly and helpful host with Excellent communication throughout. The little extras supplied such as bread, milk & biscuits was very nice. We plan to visit the area again in the future & would definitely book Elyvale cottage again. We all loved staying on Laura’s farm, the accommodation was comfortable, clean, really well equipped and waking up to see the cows having their breakfast was an added joy . The little extras that Laura supplied for both humans and dogs were lovely! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage - traditional on the outside, modern on the inside. Everything was spotless. The furniture, including the beds, is extremely comfortable. A welcome gift of lovely biscuits, crisps, etc was a nice addition. Michael was very quick to respond to messages or questions and dealt very efficiently with our request to change the dates we had booked. We would have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and would happily stay there again.
