Holiday rentals with a fire pit in West Hurley

The house is beautiful and the location was lovely, but there were a few things that fell short of the listing description. There was a strong mildew smell in the garage (even after the handyman aired it out), and some basic amenities were missing, like laundry baskets, food storage space, and charging cords for the speakers. There were also only two tall drinking glasses, which was tricky for a group. The outdoor living area shown in the listing wasn’t set up when we arrived, and we would have loved to enjoy it if the cushions were more accessible. That said, the host was very responsive when we reached out with concerns, which we appreciated. With a few tweaks to better prepare the home for guests, this could be a truly wonderful stay.

We had a lovely stay at this remote little cabin home! It feels more like staying at a friend’s house while they are out of town rather than other types of Airbnb rentals. This is someone’s home, with personality, coziness, and a great view! We saw a ton of wildlife, including beavers, deer, and a black bear, so there is plenty of nature small and large.

Lola's place was clean, quiet, comfy and well situated for our needs. The house is well equipped, including butter, milk and eggs in the refrigerator (nice touch). Lola is very responsive, answering any question we had in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We loved staying at Grandmas place. It’s such a lovely home and the back yard is so beautiful. It’s very close to town and we walked everywhere. The kitchen is fully stocked, there is a fire pit out back, and the beds are comfy. Grandma does live there and stays on the adjoining right side of the house but we still felt it was quite private and fully had the space to ourselves during our stay. We would stay again and Woodstock is filled with fun things to do and great places to eat.

Olga's beautiful modern house in Upstate New York is a real gem nestled near a wild forest. The spacious house offers plenty of room to relax and unwind after a day exploring the area. The location offers a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure, with plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. Olga was a fantastic host – incredibly responsive and flexible, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The house itself is stunning, with modern amenities and stylish decor. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this Airbnb!

We will highly recommend John and Kelly’s place in Woodstock as a destination for a family getaway. The house has the best of both worlds - it offers exceptional privacy and amazing view along with convenient proximity to the Woodstock town center. The interior gives one a rustic country feel with a record player and huge record collection setting the mood. The house also boasts a great collection of DVDs. John and Kelly provided great sightseeing and food recommendations. The communication was always prompt and courteous. We enjoyed our stay.

Stony Clove Cottage was great for our family with two little kids—lots of toys and kids books and bunk beds and tub with kids shampoo. Kitchen has everything you need. Really feels like you’re in someone’s house, if you like that. Road is sometimes a bit loud and neighbors are right there, but swimming hole across the road (ask for directions to the sweet spot) was wonderful. Host was responsive and helpful. Near great eats (Phoenicia diner, Peekamoose, the Pines, Mam’s Boy Burgers) and great hikes. I always complain about the beds being uncomfortable in every place I stay, so maybe that’s a me problem. Would recommend for other families.

This was our second time staying at Gretchen’s place. The house is so cozy and filled with light. The property is lovely to explore. We have a dog so it’s nice knowing the whole property is fenced. We love to cook. The kitchen is clean and has all the necessary essentials. Considering all these things, and with Gretchen being easy to communicate with, I’d definitely recommend a stay here.

Ami’s place was great! Stayed for my birthday and was surprised with a delicious tres leche cake upon my arrival! The view was incredible, amenities were amazing, overall it was everything I hoped for and more. Thanks Ami!

John and Emma's place is exactly as described. It is neat and comfortable. You can tell they put a lot of care into making the place feel welcoming. It is on a busy corner so that might be off-putting to some, but it was fairly quiet on the days we were there. You are able to walk to town to many restaurants, shops, and ice cream and there is a big grocery store just down the road.

We enjoyed our stay, great location for my son's graduation from Bard College.

Katherine's place was perfect for our stay in Kingston. Amazing location and very charming. Highly recommend.

This is a great home. The decor is inviting, the kitchen is spacious, and the backyard has a great view. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet too.

Our stay here in Newburgh was lovely! This place was well-stocked, very very clean, fabulously eclectic, and spectacularly spacious! We loved having two restrooms and being so close to the river and to Hudson Taco!! As the Host mentions, do carefully consider how much you care about “neighbor noise.” While I brought slippers to kindly observe the “no shoes in the house” rule, the tenants above us rudely did not. We couldn’t hear voices, but the heavy footsteps kept us awake until 1 o’clock in the morning on a weeknight and woke us up at 6:30 AM on Saturday morning. The dog scampering around or crying and whining loudly every time it was left alone in the house was also hard to bear despite our bringing ear plugs. We would 100% stay again if Sarah would kindly have us. We’re sure to have more considerate neighbors next time. Thank you for creating such a lovely space at an affordable rate.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They were generous with providing goodies in the kitchen, which was well-stocked. It's a darker apartment but the deck outside was very cheerful as was their entire back yard right on the river. They even had kayaks and canoes to use and a lovely dock. Except for the busy street out front, it was just what we needed.

While this is my first time using Airbnb and also first time staying at the Catskills, my family enjoyed our stay at Emily’s cabin; it was peaceful, cozy and quieter; the place is stocked with all the basic things that makes life comfortable; my wife and the kids loved it and that makes me happy! We will be back!

The Waterfall Casita was beautiful, well equipped, clean and offered lots of privacy. The view to the waterfall was breathtaking. Perfect to relax, connect with nature and get a break from the daily hustle. Would’ve loved to stay longer! We were able to cook meals without any difficulties, the fridge though small was more than plenty of room for the essentials we brought. Jenn was kind, available and communicated quickly without disrupting the peace and privacy. The information about local places and instructions were clear and helpful. Would love to stay again!

Me and my boyfriend stayed the week for his birthday. It was absolutely amazing! The view and privacy are worth the drive!

LOVED LOVED Loved this airbnb. Being able to unplug from cell phone service made the world of difference to our stay. Waking up to the sounds of the creek's flowing water and just being around nature was spot on. The kitchen is fully equipped with a great selection of kitchenware and condiments. Jeni our host was friendly, responsive and and super helpful. Definitely returning!

Great cozy cabin in a perfect spot for Catskills exploration. Super close to places to eat in Phoenicia and surrounding area. Easy to find just off a main road but far enough away to be quiet. Very pleased, would book again.

The perfect place for a Catskills getaway. Raymond and Maura's house is peacefully secluded in the woods while being just a few minute drive to downtown Woodstock. The screened in porch is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and take in the beautiful setting. We have stayed here several times now and hope to come back again soon!

Jeff and Sharon were wonderful hosts and the airbnb exceeded our expectations. It was clean, nice, and had great amenities. The creek in the back was beautiful. Jeff and Sharon were also available and responsive the entire stay. We couldn’t speak highly enough of this airbnb.
