This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

You'll have a lot of privacy and the owner is happy to inform you and make it as comfortable as possible. The cottage is suitable for couples, solo business travelers and families (with children).

Charming apartment at the best location!

Enjoy the beautifull sights at the Canals of Alkmaar. Romantic bridges, little streets and corners, boats pass you by while you sit in front of the apartment overlooking the water. Groundfloor apartment, very private! Shoppingstreets, squares with lots of bars and restaurants right around the corner. From Alkmaar central trainstation: 5 min. by bus and 2 min. walk. Beach of Egmond and Bergen aan Zee 15 km

Art & Tatra (Art of Lida and Cees cars)

Our B&B is located in the heart of Waarland, with Alkmaar, Schagen and Heerhugowaard within cycling distance. It is a guest house for 4 people, suitable for a family with larger children. There is no train station in Waarland and in the evening there are no buses. Without a car, we may not be the right location. For stays longer than 5 days, a discount is given, but you have to take care of breakfast yourself.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.
