An EPIC getaway! Like none other. Down to the finest detail. Luxurious, artistic, earthy, sensual, gorgeous! Such a unique creation in a stunning, peaceful and inspiring natural environment. You can feel the heart and vision that has gone into this project. We loved so much about this place, especially all the fireplaces and hot tubs and little corners to sit and savour the magnificent views (sunset and stargazing on the outdoor cargo net, anyone?). The fantasy room was a cheeky fun bonus to an already decadent situation. Wynand and Bernadine have thought of everything! They are also very generous with their time and gifts, and were super quick to respond to our questions. Thank you for this creative masterpiece, we are very happy to know about Skaam and would love to come back!

An extraordinary stay, inspiring

Perfect setting, and the cabin is perfect for two people who is just looking to get an away from the outside noise.. The view from the Cabin is perfect, animals are perfect, everything is just perfect. Highlight was definitely feeding the lamps.

The place is absolutely beautiful!! The surroundings are breathtaking and peaceful. I’d definitely go back for another visit. Communication was seamless and efficient.

Beautiful setting in the mountains, overlooking Wellington. Loved the design details and thoughtful amenities. The fact that you can pre-order meal kits also added a lot to the experience (you don't want to leave once you're there). We also appreciated all the special touches (you'll see once you arrive). Overall it was a very relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

We had such a great stay! Martyn was super friendly and helpful — he made us feel really welcome and helped us with instructions for the wood fired hot tub which was a highlight of our stay. The place itself is in a beautiful spot — really quiet and private, with gorgeous surroundings. We loved how peaceful it felt, and the little wildlife visitors were such a cute bonus. It was exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxing escape with a great host. We’d happily come back!

Words can't describe Solace, but numbers can 100/10. What an incredible stay from start to finish. The cabin is perfect, it is equipped with everything you need, it is cosy and comfortable. The wood-fired hot tub was a highlight, we spent our nights star gazing. We forgot to bring milk and when we enquired about the closest shop, the hosts went out of their way to bring us some milk. I can highly recommend Solace for a few nights away. I'm pretty sure i've come back home a better person.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience during our stay. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The host was welcoming, responsive, and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The location was peaceful and relaxing. I especially appreciated the little thoughtful touches like the complimentary snacks. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

We spent our Anniversary there, the waterfall was incredible, we swam in the dam, went back to our cosy cottage, got into the hotub with some champers, looked up at the milky way, counted satellites and had the most unforgettable and romantic wedding anniversary. We will definitely go back. Thank you to the hosts for an incredible experience, what a beautiful location.

Very cute and cosy cottage with the most stunning views. We were 3 adults and a toddler and we really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place if you like the quiet and outdoors. We loved seeing the springbok from afar and the zebra’s, that came to visit us at the cottage. The cottage has all amenities needed for a convenient stay. Only other remark is that the pool area was a bit further away (not walking distance with a toddler) than anticipated, and it’s quite basic. Still enjoyed a nice swim on a hot day. Totally recommend booking this cottage!

It took us long to get there from Muizenberg but it was so worth it! The cabin was quaint and clean. We took our two dogs with and they were welcomed and we had a fence to keep them in. The property is beautiful with incredible walks/hikes. There are also a lot of options for swimming which is great in that heat! The hosts were also very welcoming. Thanks and we'll hopefully be back soon!

We had a lovely stay. Very peaceful and secluded. Our dogs enjoyed splashing around in the river.

I stayed just one night in the African hut and it was a truly memorable experience. The setting is peaceful and grounding, with the added joy of ducks and chickens wandering by in the morning—such a lovely touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the complimentary massage was a real treat that added something special to my stay. The outdoor hot tub and the electric sauna in the little stilted hut were unique highlights—such fun features that added to the sense of adventure. Be sure to bring warm layers if you’re visiting in winter, and come with an open mind. This isn’t a polished hotel experience—it’s rustic, real, and full of character. If you appreciate nature, simplicity, and a touch of the unexpected, you’ll love it. A starry night sky and fresh farm air make it all the more magical.

This place is an absolute must-stay for everyone! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a living painting: the views, the vibe, and the atmosphere are simply breathtaking. The facilities are top-notch, offering everything you need for a perfect stay. What truly sets this place apart are the little details that make it feel like home: the friendly dogs, the adorable donkeys, and even the chickens you can cuddle. The food is incredible, the coffee is next-level (and also the coffee shakes and fresh juices), and every lunch felt like a treat. The owners and the host made our experience even more special with their warmth and hospitality. The massages were pure bliss, and to top it all off, the internet is lightning-fast: strong enough for remote working without any issues. Everything was beyond perfection, we could have stayed here forever!

Rustic beach house, very close to the beach. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and the simplicity of the place. Has all necessary amenities.

I had an amazing stay at Langekloof Roses and everything exceeded my expectations. The peacful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made it a truly relaxing stay. The cottage was lovely and spacious, with thoughtful details that added to the charm.. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and the food at the team room was delicious. I would highly recommend Langekloof Roses for a serene and delightful escape.

Neat and clean with a great view - exactly what was advertised and what we expected. We had a good stay! Bianca was helpfull and responsive and we appreciate her helpfullness.

Had a great stay in Elands! Right by the beach

We had an incredible time at Nardouw. Perfect time of year, as the spring flowers were in bloom. The scenery and views are spectacular. The house has a stunning setting amongst giant boulders and was well equipped, with everything we needed. Five stars for the kingsize bed and fresh white cotton linen! Mario had thought of everything. We enjoyed the tour of the rooibos farm with the added bonus of beautiful wild flowers everywhere. The surprise gift was much appreciated and enjoyed! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back.

Beautiful farm and surroundings in the mountains. The river has fantastic rock pools for keeping cool on hot days. Peaceful and relaxing 🙏

I think the two major highlights of this place is the huge fireplace and the big balcony with view. David was very good in communicating what to expect in terms of warmth and electricity. I liked that we could check in and out by just following his detailed instructions. The place was incredibly clean for such an off-the-grid place. Come here if you want a nice peaceful weekend, reading by the fire.
