House holiday rentals in Volterra

"Perfect" is the only word that comes to mind for Anna's place. Such a serene location and perfect for a family. The view is just spectacular. We felt so at home and loved sitting out in the yard and by the pool. Anna provided us with a list of so many amazing things to do/see near and far. A must do is the pasta making with Vilma at the house-the most memorable and delicious meal from our trip! Can't wait to go back there to live more of the Tuscan life and enjoy the most beautiful view. Thank you, Anna, for hosting such a gem!

We had a great time with our children at Antonio's! The entire property (including the pool) is super nice and very well maintained - so is the house in which we felt extremely comfortable. Antonio was always available and provided us with valuable tips about Volterra. We can fully recommend a stay and would be happy to come back.

Really very nice accommodation and a big thank you to Camilla who takes care of everything. For example, with us, to reserve a tennis court. Full recommendation!

Our vacation with Angela and Luigi was very successful. Everything was as described. The accommodation is very authentic, not modernized, with a lot of charm, but with some small changes (e.g., new tablecloth in the kitchen, new cutlery) you could get more out of the apartment, but in the end this is not important. The beds were also not so comfortable for us, but that is very subjective. The unit is very well maintained, the pool is a dream: loungers, umbrellas, toys - everything there. We only imagined the playground better. However, it is important to mention that you should be pain-free when it comes to flying. They are everywhere and there are many! Luigi's hospitality was exceptional (we only saw Angela briefly). He was very fond of children, showed us the farm and its machines, brought us farmed fruit and jam and also invited us to the espresso during his break. Overall an honest recommendation!

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

What a great place to stay while visiting Tuscany. The home is a renovated medieval watchtower located up a dirt road, tucked on a hilltop overlooking the valley. Jacopo, the host, was so kind, hospitable and responsive during our 5-day visit. Would definitely recommend this place to explore Tuscana.

A fantastic place to stay! Diego is extremely welcoming and gave us great recommendations and local info. The house and garden are even more beautiful than the photos - everything well-equipped, all that we needed. We had the perfect, peaceful week and look forward to coming back!

The apartment really enchanted us, the rooms are nice, clean with air conditioning, stylish, in the living room a large TV, kitchen with everything that should be here. The "resort" itself was on a hill with beautiful views, a huge garden, a swimming pool, all stylish Tuscan, the surroundings beautiful, peace, quiet, peace, everything you need here you will find. As the Italians say, it's "Tutto bene" here

This house is the perfect place for two families traveling together. It’s incredibly cozy, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with amenities that let you truly enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The hosts went above and beyond — welcoming us with fresh fruit, traditional sweets, bottled water, coffee, milk, and a selection of Tuscan wines, which we truly appreciated. They also provided high-quality Italian hygiene products, which added a thoughtful and luxurious touch to our stay. One of the highlights for us was the host’s responsiveness. Communication was always fast, helpful, and friendly — a detail that made a big difference. We didn’t get a chance to use the private pool due to our tight schedule, but the property still gave us a real sense of independence, comfort, and safety. I 100% recommend this property. Stella is a beautiful person and a perfect host. Everything immediately felt like home. She explained everything very nicely. The location was serene and she gave a lot of information on things to do in that area. Would love to come again for sure.

Listing is as described. There is a spiral staircase to access the living room and the bedroom. The suitcases remained on the ground floor and it was clearly stated in the description. Characterful accommodation, charming and well-equipped. we recommend this host.

Beautiful property with warm, welcoming hosts. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and everything is tastefully decorated The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for cooking meals at home. The pool was a great temperature, immaculately clean, and came with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The entire setting is peaceful and relaxing, yet only a 35-minute drive to Siena and 50 minutes to Florence. We especially loved watching the sunset at the nearby five-star Belmond hotel. We went for drinks at 7pm, enjoyed live music, and were surrounded by the heavenly scent of jasmine. There is no air conditioning but the fans were absolutely fine! Another highlight was La Speranza, a gorgeous deli serving excellent coffee, pastries, cheese, and wine. They kindly spoke English when we got stuck and made us feel so welcome.

Loved Rosanna’s place, there was everything we needed and even food/wine there on my late arrival! The place was in THE BEST location and the view from the quiet terrace was perfect. Aircon worked a dream and it was great value for money. It’s in a beautiful part of the town and Le Vecchie Mura was a perfect restaurant 2 mins away. Totally recommend staying here; the place and town are magical.

very large accommodation and in a perfect location: quiet but central. House equipped with everything you need, including coffee. Volterra is also the perfect starting point for visiting the surroundings, which are often more crowded and touristy. (and we always ate very well) Francesco was a friendly and helpful host who gave us all the help we needed and made sure our stay went well.

We loved staying in Carolina’s house in Montecatini Alto. It was a lovely welcoming place to wake up in and return to at the end of the day. The view from the windows and the patio is extraordinary and sitting out enjoying it was one of the best parts of the holiday. The house had all we needed. Carolina was a wonderful host; friendly, quick to reply and extremely helpful. The village is a lovely quiet place to stay and we wouldn’t look anywhere else if we return to the area.

first I love his neighbors who checked us in. Cinzia was amazing. She not only showed us our place but took our kids to show us her farm. she also makes her own olive oil and gifted us with some! Wonderful Italian neighbors!! I contacted Rocky in advance and he provided me with specific recommendations for where we should go during a long drive we took. we went where he suggested and was not disappointed! Amazing quiet location with great near by wineries. would 100% recommend to everyone!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tommaso's! The house is located in a lovely small village, very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan nature. We even spotted a wild boar one early morning (so best to be cautious during early mornings and late nights). There’s a charming local restaurant just around the corner where we had a great dinner – Tommaso kindly helped us book a table for our first night, which was much appreciated. Nearest bigger shop is around 20-min drive. The house itself is spacious and well-equipped, we had everything we needed and more. Just a heads-up that the pool area is a short walk from the house (about 3 minutes), but so worth it. Communication with Tommaso was smooth and easy throughout. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Andrea en Simone, Are very welcoming, the location is a smal walk but with good directions easy to find. Palaia and the accommodation has amazed us, with a amazing home away from home. Great facilities, terrace, jacuzzi, pool, and not to forget amazing views. As a base to explore there is alot of interesting places to go to witin a hour drive. big cities, smaller towns, wineries, and with a tiny bit extra travelling time the sea. We had a great stay with our friends and made some great memories. would recommend the accommodation, as well as the hosts, and would definitely stay again. Kind Regards, Boyd and Naomi

A very nice quiet place! Too bad it wasn't very nice and hot during our stay, but we still bathed and enjoyed the wonderful view! Consider bringing mosquito hunting, as there are many. We would go back tomorrow morning if we could:)
