Apartment holiday rentals in Volterra

We had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. The town of Carmignano is a great place to get away from the bustle of the city. Great spots to eat. The unit itself is one of the most unique places I have ever stayed! If taking the bus, please note that the 210 route does not go direct to Carmignano every time, and you will have to make transfers. Just look up the bus schedules online and they can tell you where to transfer.

Lovely spacious apartment with loads of character. Right in the middle of the old town - couldn’t be a more perfect location. There is a free public car park called Gioconovo Parcheggio which is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment is very well equipped and above all pleasantly cool when it is hot outside. The seat in front of the entrance offers a beautiful view of the typical Tuscan landscape, you are in the middle of nature (lizards, deer, fireflies, many different birds...). Nevertheless, an excellent starting point for excursions. Everything was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the on-site care of Cathy and Fabio warm. Full recommendation from us!

Amazing apartment - stylish, astonishing views, great Aircon, loads of space. It’s situated on a beautiful square right slap bang in the middle of things - after spending 4 days here, we couldn’t wish for a better location. The building and square are very characterful yet quiet (except the amazing music floating up in the evenings). Great value - we had four nights for the cost of one night in a Florence 5-star, with loads more space. Things you might need to know: the huge windows have electric blinds, which either provide shade or blackout - nice! The two bathrooms are cute and functional but small. The kitchen also - well equipped but not much room to conjure up a gourmet meal. However the number of excellent restaurants within ten minutes walk is astonishing - just follow Edoardo’s recommendations.

Such a wonderful, historic apartment!! We particularly appreciated the beautiful views from the balcony - simply stunning! The apartment was quiet, comfortable and pristinely clean… with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. San Gimignano is gorgeous but staying at Luca’s apartment made our experience unforgettable. Casa Milena was an absolute gem! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the historic center of San Gimignano, yet peaceful and quiet enough to relax and unwind. The apartment is spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of Tuscan charm, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Cristina was a wonderful host—warm, welcoming, and quick to respond to any questions. Waking up to the view of the rolling hills and sipping coffee on the balcony and terrace felt like a dream. Whether you’re visiting for the food, the history, or just to soak in the beauty of Tuscany, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend and would absolutely return!

We had the most amazing stay at Sibilla's apartment! It is STUNNINGLY decorated and almost makes it feel like you are staying in the Medici Chapel itself. The apartment had everything we needed, and the plant room/ sunroom was glorious to enjoy in the mornings/returning after a day's exploring. We met both Niccolo and Sibilia and both were so friendly and helpful. The area surrounding the apartment is perfect, with central Florence being a 20 minute walk away, and the restaurants/shops/wine bars of Santo Spirito being literally on your doorstep. This is the most enjoyable Air BnB we have ever stayed in, and would come back in a heartbeat! Grazie mille!!

It was beautiful and a great way to end our honeymoon. She connected us to a massage therapist. It was great.

The house was beautiful, very well furnished with all the books and details. It was a few minutes walk from downtown Volterra and had a nice view of the mountains. Highly recommended to spend a few relaxing and quiet days.

Staying here for a few nights was exactly what we needed, peaceful, clean, and perfectly Tuscan! The appartment has everything you need, the bed is comfy, the shower very nice. The pool is very serene and the view in the sitting area perfect for breakfast (or lunch or dinner). Paul was responsive and very friendly. Would highly recommend to stay here!

A highly recommended stay! This appartmenrs are located a short drive from the town and are quiet, peaceful, and have stunning views. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. We would loved to have stayed longer and would definitely book again. The value for the quality of this stay is incredible!

Luca’s apartment overlooking the piazza was absolutely perfect! There were reviews about it being loud but honestly we were so tired every night from enjoying the beauty of Florence that I didn’t even notice any noise. The location couldn’t have been any better & it was a perfect space for my husband and I. Thank you Luca!!

We had a wonderful stay. The patio and hot tub were amazing. Walk to everything. No need for a car. Lots of restaurants and attractions close by. Grocery store around the corner. Outdoor hot tub was lovely after a day of steps.

Very nice apartment, nicely decorated with a very large terrace with jacuzzi and possibility to sit in shade. Great for cooling off after day trips. It was a wonderful place to stay. Baker, vegetable shops and a few small supermarkets nearby and old center of Lucca within walking distance. Nice shower and good bed. Great air conditioning. Free parking a few hundred meters away and also possible in front of the door for a fee.

Superb spot close to river. Bed is confortable. Yes, stairs could be a challenge for some only it is clearly stated. At the end of the day, it’s alright!

After another Airbnb mishap, Gianluca was so accommodating to allow to book and check in late last minute. He even met us there personally to be sure we got in okay. He even had the fold out couch ready with linens and provided a few breakfast items. The place was better than we’d hoped, location was fantastic, updated and perfectly clean! We would absolutely stay here again. This place will be one of the highlights of our trip!

Excellent location and beautiful apartment. Easy to get in self-check in and good communication with the host. Great kitchen, stocked with all the hardware you need. Common area was comfortable for the 4 of us. The view is amazing. Balconies on the water with close up views of Ponte Vecchio. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed in a 20 day trip in several cities.

We loved staying here and had the most fantastic time. They were super helpful and responsive to everything and we can’t wait to go back.

Martina's place was a great rental in central Florence. Close enough to walk to major landmarks and the central train station. The place has everything you need and more. We were met by Martina and her friendly dog on arrival. She is very friendly and hospitable and took her time to show us her home and give us lots of information on the area and suggestions. I would recommend this rental to everyone!
