Me and my family loved our stay. The pool and hot tub was great and lots of fun, we didn’t expect how deep it was. The mini golf course is a good time as well. There was so much to enjoy at the house we barely had time to go to the beach. And the host and owner were extremely friendly, and helpful.

Connie’s place was great! Looked just like the photos. The house was clean and in a great area. Nice and friendly neighbors. We enjoyed the community beaches that are super close, clean and dog friendly. It was a prefect weekend trip. We would book here again!

The property was lovely and had the most beautiful views. I first thought it was too small, but it was perfect! Stacia and her team were so responsive, and the property was super clean. We spent most of our time on the dock or deck, enjoying the view and the wild life. The kitchen had great space for meals and everything we needed. The basement was perfect for playing cards, and the pac man game was my sister’s favorite! What a great place on the lake!

Kayla’s place was great. Nice, quiet house with lots of privacy. Great views . Love the views of the river. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dwayne's place was exactly what our family needed for a weekend getaway! We came to town with 3 dogs and an infant for a wedding and everything was great with our stay. The tall fence was great for letting our dogs out and having privacy. Thanks again for the early check in and letting us stay in your lovely home!

This was our second time visiting. We love the house and the view. Best equipped house we have visited. Peaceful place to relax and recharge. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful view and lovely house. Thoroughly enjoyed all the wildlife - lots of baby geese, ospreys in flight, woodchucks, bunnies and deer in abundance - loved it!!

The house was beautiful and secluded. All of the extra little spaces outside are a huge bonus, I thoroughly enjoyed having the creek right there, in the outdoor space with the fire pit is nothing short of amazing. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a space that can keep your kids entertained as well as you entertained and comfortable, This is a perfect place! The only complaint that I have would be the water purifier going off in the middle of the night for about two hours. It’s slightly loud in a bit ridiculous but honestly, it gave my husband and I something to giggle about. Overall, it’s a really nice place and we really enjoyed our stay and we will be back to fancy gap, in this particular home next year!

We had an amazing time at Taby’s place. She was a great host. The cottage is pretty. The swimming pool was nice respite in the scorching sun of June. Taby was extremely friendly and also helped us with the local recommendations.

Lenah's place was wonderful! We were in Bealeton for a friend's wedding, and it was so close to everything we needed (including Moo Thru) but still in a rural setting. The house was spotless and had all of the amenities we could want. Lenah was even so sweet to loan me her iron so I could iron the dress I took for the wedding. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay in the Airstream! It had all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the location being close to the Shenandoah National Park which made it a great home base to leave from every day for long hikes. We also enjoyed cooking on the nice gas stove after long days in the mountains. It was a great get away! We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a fun/creative place to stay in the area!

If you read the reviews from others who stayed here...they were SPOT ON! Lynn's carriage house is like stepping into an immaculate barndominium. You feel like you are prepping for your fox hunt or what my wife and I did, enjoy a tea or glass of wine in the evenings watching the deer come through the fields or the horses in the far fields graze. PEACEFUL. The house has everything you need from coffee, tea, sweeteners, to spices and pots and pans. Come here to relax. Last, the pool on the listing is at the main house. Never did we feel like it wasn't our own private oasis. So cool to enjoy the pool surrounded by horse properties. Lynn is an excellent host. This is an incredible property.

This is the perfect peaceful spot. The house was so charming with its original touches but also updated and homey. The property is amazing. You can walk to the falls, a cave, kayak in the beaver pond or just sit in the back yard and see the beautiful mountains. Beau provided all the important information we needed before we arrived and welcomed us when we saw him on the property. This is a wonderful place to get away and relax. We enjoyed the falls. You can swim in the pools at the bottom of the falls. Beau has the camp sites spaced out so well that everyone has plenty of private space. We would love to come back someday. Thank you for maintaining this property so well and sharing it with us.

Absolutely wonderful! The house was beautifully decorated. We used this for my partner’s birthday trip and it exceeded our expectations! We were mindful it is still an active horse ranch so there were ants but we were prepared. Other than that everything was exceptional and the horses were beautiful too!

We had a wonderful stay at Majestic Meadows. Sandy & Chris were wonderful hosts and the property was a great home away from home, with a beautiful courtyard full of colorful birds, a private pool, and a ton of flowering plants. Close enough to town to not feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but far away enough to feel secluded. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Highly recommend.

We only had one night as we were on a road trip with young kids (8 & 6). They LOVED the place and the pool. In the evening we had some magical appearance of fireflies (June trip). The camper van was cute and had all the facilities that one would need. The only downside for us was that the cleaners had not emptied the grey and black water tanks which meant we had the toilet block in the evening and the shower not drain in the morning. Colby did come out and fix this though and was very friendly. Overall we would still highly recommend the space, especially with kids.

I am so grateful to have found the Heron Rock Cottage. We needed a peaceful place to escape to and the cottage was perfect. The photos don’t do justice for how beautiful the cottage and views are. Anne is also a wonderful host. She is quick to respond and was so sweet to leave a home made dessert for us. We stayed during the week and the lake was so relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed the dock the entire time we were there, as well as fishing, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and countless wildlife, including deer and otters. We also liked that they created a nature trail on the property. We picked up groceries on the way there, but everything we needed was stocked in the cottage. I also loved the extra special details for our dog, including towels after she had a fun day in the lake and a blanket for her as well. I definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a relaxing, but fun getaway. We look forward to booking again in the future.

We stayed at this Airbnb for a bachelorette weekend with six adults, and it was absolutely beautiful—both inside and out. Three of us stayed upstairs, while the other three used the bunk beds, which were surprisingly comfortable and conveniently located near a full bathroom on the same floor. We were especially relieved to have a screened-in porch, which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about bugs. The house was thoughtfully stocked with essentials, including a charming coffee bar and plenty of towels. Overall, we’d absolutely recommend this spot for a fun and relaxing mountain getaway!

What a lovely and beautiful home away from home! Extremely cosy and our son loved climbing up the stairs to the loft and trying to figure out the arcade game. The lawn is huge and the creek is an absolute bonus. Kitchen has all the necessary items and we cooked a full meal for dinner without difficulties. Thanks Rebecca!

This was our second time staying here and we fell in love with the place even more this time! Since it’s up on a mountain, it’s so peaceful and really allows you to relax and restore. The space is exactly as pictured and feels well cared for. If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay and explore the Shenandoah area, this is the best spot for quality and price.

We loved our stay at the Goat Loft! The goats had so much personality and were so interactive. The space was lovely and so well kept. We had everything we needed and felt right at home. We were in town for a wedding but really loved exploring the wineries and local towns. Brian was welcoming and very responsive. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family as a peaceful and unique experience!

Our stay at Hat Creek Camp was short but exceptional. I wondered if we would have enough to do outside of wind down, which was our primary goal. I had no phone service on my apple which was fine with me. My husband’s Samsung had a signal, go figure. We were there to disconnect and let our dog run free. I’ve never seen her so happy, jumping in the lake and stream. Time flew walking the trails, being on the lake, barbecuing and just sitting by the fire pit. I thought we’d need cards but there was no time. The cabin was small but clean. There was nothing that we needed that wasn’t supplied. I wondered why past reviewers mentioned the bed but it was comfy enough to mention. My dog cried after we were gone 10 minutes on our way home. Thought she needed to potty but after a break and 3 hrs home she never went. I think she was missing camp and didn’t want to leave. I know we didn’t.

Our stay in the Mountain Cabin was great! The cabin location on the mountain and views were superb and the amenities met our expectations. The outdoor upper deck was wonderful for my pup to be contained and still enjoy the beauty and nature. We enjoyed the farm animals on the property as well as the deer and bunnies. Daphne, the Welsh terrier, was so intrigued by the yaks and the smells of the other country animals. We had two great hikes at Grayson Highlands SP including some interesting pony interactions/vocalizations at the park border fence, a fussy Texas Longhorn at the springs trail, and a morning hiking at New River State Park in NC at 221 , Mount Jefferson SNA for a picnic lunch, and of course a visit to Ashe County Cheese in West Jefferson. The drive to NC through the Grassy Creek area was so beautiful! Highly recommend this venture into NC as it's very close to Mouth of Wilson.
