Sunny two-story 1850s farmhouse bungalow attached to the main house where the owners reside in a separate closed-off space. You have private entrance. One double bedroom, another bedroom with two single beds. Walk to town and ferry, which makes life easier during peak months without a car, should you prefer to simply walk on. Our cabin is situated on nearly 2 peaceful acres with direct waterfront on a tidal pond - a calm and quiet body of water fed by the ocean. You can hear the soothing sounds of the tidal waterfall when the tide is changing. Swim from the private dock and enjoy the warm water or just lounge on the Adirondack chairs or hammock. We have 4 paddle boards that convert to kayaks, a dingy that accommodates 2-4, a corn hole set and a fire pit for your use.

In town Vinalhaven. Walking distance to every market, restaurant, bar (and nearly every business) on island. Walking distance to the ferry terminal if the logistics of getting a car on and off island is daunting. Close to multiple land preserves, and hiking trails under 500 yards from the front door. 500 yard walk to the public boat float. (For small vessels). Stay in-town in an active, vibrant lobstering village on an island in Maine.
