Cottage holiday rentals in Ventura

This is our 3rd time staying at Joseph & Kelly’s place! It is always a pleasure! They make you feel right at home and are willing to help with any need! We love this place and plan to return very soon!

Dana was very accommodating host. She gave us clear instructions about how to access the house, gave awesome recommendations for places to visit and where to eat, which we used! The house is adorable and the beds are super comfortable. My bestie and I had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again! I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time and loved the house! It was extremely clean and well-outfitted. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely home in a beautiful location!

We enjoyed our stay at this very cute and cozy cottage. It was a very peaceful location and close by a beautiful Walking trail. It had all of the amenities, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening.

5 stars – A Perfect Stay! 
I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh coffee, extra towels, and a helpful guide with local recommendations. The location was perfect—close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Communication with the host was seamless; Linda was very thoughtful, responsive, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. I especially appreciated the little things that showed she cared like the personal welcome and farewell notes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My family and I had an amazing time at Paul's place. My girls could not get enough of the sheep/goats/chickens/pigs. So much fun. The Avocottage was so cute and very private. Paul and his daughter were very friendly and super nice folks. We would love to come back again!

Great location Great shower One note George was not sure about the check in code and he give me the wrong one I had to call The lance was in general clean but we found dust on the couch and the table and the pillows were also dusty The bikes are really old and two out of four need new tires The towels were only few and kind of old Everything else was great We had great time

This is a paradisiac place. Very secluded and surrounded by nature, ideal to really unplug. The outdoor kitchen is beautiful, as well as the swimming pool and the suite. Karen was an excellent host, always available when we needed something. We are looking forward to come back soon!

Absolutely loved staying at David's place. It was perfectly peaceful and quaint and very unique. David was also great in that we left an item by accident when leaving. He immediately let us know and helped coordinate a pick-up of it later that day. Was super appreciated. Would highly recommend staying at this or one of his other properties!

We absolutely loved the love shack. Aaron has made sure to provide everything needed for a relaxing stay including a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. The location is perfect very close to everything you could need. We will definitely consider booking again when we come up Venice Beach again.

This was at least my third stay at Lisa’s place. I keep coming back for the value, the privacy and the beautiful surroundings. The place e is quirky, but we love that and we love Lisa and family as hosts. Good people who deserve our support.

I had a wonderful stay at Darryl’s cottage! The location is absolutely stunning — a peaceful, quiet retreat with breathtaking oceanfront views. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the deck each morning was a dream. The space itself was spotless and clearly well cared for, which made settling in really easy and comfortable. Everything was just as described, and I appreciated the attention to detail throughout. Darryl was a fantastic host — very responsive and helpful whenever I had a question. His quick replies and thoughtful communication made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic getaway. I’ll definitely be back!

This was an amazing stay for my wife and I's honeymoon. Not only is it a 10 minute walk to the beach, but has quick and easy access to Santa Barbara and Ventura. Reina was kind, helpful, and was always available if we had any questions!

Tobias was a great host and the property was a whimsical antiquated cottage in a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Easy access to the trails and mountains.

This was an absolutely beautiful stay! Highly recommend this space and this host. Just a wonderful trip from start to finish and we are so grateful to have stayed at SWELL! Side note that you may not see from the photos- the natural lighting inside was beautiful all throughout the day. Felt like we were in a movie with how beautiful and cute it was inside! The cottage is comfortable and romantic. The setting is peaceful and filled with nature. Beautiful views. We loved our experience.

Hummingbird Cottage is adorable. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the fountain was soothing. The house is very small, so not suited to someone really tall. Our daughter stayed in the treehouse and loved it. The location was great for catching the boat to the Channel Islands.

We had a great time and stay, arrived around 9:30 PM, Darrell met us at the carport and helped with my bag when he did not have to. He lead us up about 50 steps and gave us a tour that was super helpful. Arriving after sunset is highly recommended by us. House is comfy, Private Hot tub was wonderful to use daily. Day bed outside was awesome to star gaze. Fire pit adds a nice touch as well. Private sauna too. Plenty of beautiful greenery, water, tikis and nature sounds. Keep in mind this is set in the Topanga Canyon and is basically a forest/jungle so there are bugs, slugs and wild animals so if you are scared of bugs and whatnot you have been warned. FYI there are grounds keepers on property during the day so you are not totally alone. Darrell lives on a property up the hill and is available at all times. Side note, We have a EV vehicle and we found chargers in Calabasas and Santa Monica. Thank you Darrell and team.

Fawn’s place was very clean and cozy. She had everything needed to have an excellent stay at the beach. I wish I could have stayed longer. Fawn is very polite and very friendly. I highly recommend her place for anyone wanting to stay in Oxnard. 5 stars all day.🙂

If you want a clean, comfortable, peaceful place to stay, We highly recommend La Casita Azul!! You are in walking distance from the beach⛱️ . We were accomidated with bikes and boards for the beach if wanted to use, beach towels and blankets aswell. Clean area with friendly neighbors. La Casita Azul itself was so cozy and open, bedrooms were perfect sizes along with restrooms and showers. Kitchen has all the amenities needed. Restrooms aswell. I loved all of the decor and thought that was put into this airbnb. The quality was was worth every penny. We appreciate the stay and hope to comeback again soon💓🥰 If your looking for close places to get some coffee or food that's super close by we recommend trying Honey Cup Coffee house and creamery, there lattes and croissants are awesome! Also Hollywood beach Cafe, food is delicious and prices are great too!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Seahorse Cottage. Clean, beautifully decorated and steps from the beach. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
