Cabin holiday rentals in Vaxholm Municipality

Linus was erg behulpzaam en reageerde snel. De accommodatie was erg knus en schoon. Er was ook een hele mooie tuin. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad en raden het zeker aan!

We had a fabulous few days in Helene’s woodland retreat. The experience of the hot tub in the trees was a highlight, as was watching the wildlife in the early morning from the picture windows. Helene was an excellent communicator and answered all our queries promptly. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We had a small maintenance issue but this was dealt with immediately by Helene’s friendly Father ( Jan), who lives close by. The property is well used and has a lived in feel, this did not detract from our experienced but contributed to our feeling of being in someone’s home. We would choose to stay here again if we revisit the region. Thank you Helene and Jan.

Tiny cabin for two people but with everything needed, refrigerator, microwave, water heater, of course bathroom and shower. Hard to believe, but it all fit well in the house. Clean, comfortable. Beautiful forest. Rocks. Birds. Blueberries flowering. One good reason - close to Arlanda, only 15 minutes drive, I always would prefere this accommodation to Stockholm, if need to get to airport quickly. Very lovely Sigtuna town pretty close. Le chalet est cosy, très propre et bien équipé. C'est très calme avec le lac a deux pas. L’hôte était aussi très sympa et disponible si besoin. Tout était réuni pour passer un séjour dépaysant.

We stayed at Jimmy`s place in June 2025 for a three day city trip to Stockholm. The accomodation suited our needs perfectly and was located in a very nice and quiet area. The train station is in approx 10 min walking distance and the train to Stockholm central station is fast and runs often. The tiny house is very neat and well equipped and very comfy. We loved it. I can absolutely recommend this place. Check in was very easy and Jimmy was proactive, easy to reach and a great host.

Le genre d'adresse que nous souhaiterions garder secrète afin de l'avoir toujours disponible rien que pour nous. le cottage est magnifique est l'emplacement est magique. bravo pour votre maison; elle permet de rendre des rêves en réalité. We absolutely loved this cozy and stylish cabin in the woods, and instantly felt like home. It’s so quiet and peaceful, we didn’t even want to go to Stockholm. Hiking paths are close by and you can enjoy the hot tub with a view. We will def come back again :) big recommendation. And friendly + uncomplicated host

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Sara war sehr nett und immer gut erreichbar. Wir fanden die Lage wirklich toll! Es ist sehr ruhig und man kann gut entspannen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit Sara!

Die Unterkunft von Oskar und Justine war sehr schön! Hier kann man hin, wenn man dem Alltagsstress entfliehen möchte und morgens Vögel sowie abends Rehe beobachten mag. Das Häuschen war für 2 Personen super und hatte alles was man brauchte. Sogar eine Waschmaschine war zur Benutzung vorhanden. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit auf Edholma und würden die Unterkunft immer weiter empfehlen. Auch der unkomplizierte Kontakt zu den Vermietern war gut. Wir haben immer schnelle und präzise Antworten bekommen. Da wir über Ostern da waren sind die Fähren nicht so oft gefahren. Ansonsten ist aber die Anbindung nach Vaxholm und zu anderen Inseln super! Danke und alles Gute! :-)

Tolles kleines Häuschen mitten in der Natur. Einfache vollständige Ausstattung, sehr sauber, tolle Gastgeber. Gerne wieder es gibt viel zu entdecken in der Umgebung. Besonderes Plus, man kommt bequem mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zur Unterkunft und der Gastgeber stellt zwei ältere Fahrräder. Toll um die Insel zu erkunden

Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans le logement de Christina, logement fidèle à la description, un petit paradis perdu en pleine nature. Nous étions à pied, mais, aimant marcher (20 minutes depuis l arret de bus) cela ne nous a posé aucun problème. Merci pour le prêt des vélos et du canoë qui nous ont permis de découvrir Vaxholm et les îles environnantes, différemment et de façon autonome ! Christina a été une hôte formidable. C était un plaisir !

Vi är jättenöjda, både med boendet och Rune som hyresvärd. Svarade snabbt på alla frågor!

Vackert plats som inger natur och skärgårdskänsla trots nära till stan. Catja var en fantastisk värd som var snabb på att svara på mina frågor och tillmötesgående med allt. Hon kom till och med och hjälpte oss med instruktioner. Starkt rekommenderas till alla som vill ha en fin och fridfull vistelse. Tack Catja!

Per var otroligt hjälpsam och svarade alltid direkt. Stugan ligger i ett fantastiskt vackert och fridfullt område på en liten ö, perfekt för avkoppling. Det känns avskilt men ändå inte isolerat, eftersom man enkelt kan ta kanoten (som man får låna av värden) till en närliggande restaurang eller ta färjan till Vaxholm. Stugan är mysig och det finns även en grill att låna. Tänk på att ta med eget örngott, påslakan, lakan, toapapper och kol om du vill grilla. Rekommenderas varmt för den som vill ha en lugn och naturnära vistelse! Vi trivdes oerhört.

Peter was quite responsive. The place is a bit remote to reach if you are coming by public transport. From Höganäs ferry there is a bus service but rarely, so get informed about it. From the Tynningövägen ferry it's walking distance. There's only one supermarket which only takes Swedish cards. Vaxholm is reachable by ferry and has multiple options for restaurants and supermarket. Peter's place is very calm and peaceful. You can enjoy warm sun in the garden throughout the day. You can enjoy the day walking around the island.The shower and washing machine is in a separatecabin outside the bungalow. And the toilet inside is an electric one. Kitchen has all the basic amenities.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt bei Liv. Die kleine Hütte ist unglaublich gemütlich! Liv ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Ca 1.8 km entfernt (ein toller Waldweg), befindet sich ein Supermarkt. In der sehr hübschen, kleinen Küchenecke gibt es alles, um leckeres Essen kochen zu können. Man kann wunderbar wandern und mit der Fähre fahren (@ Liv: habe sie doch noch genutzt 😉). Es gibt 2 Wege, um von der Unterkunft zu Bushaltestellen zu kommen, die einen nach Ropsten fahren und von da gelangt man einfach zum Zentrum von Stockholm. Ein Highlight war auch die Sauna, und das anschließende Abkühlen im Wasser. Und nicht zu vergessen, der gemütliche Kamin für kalte Nächte. Es hat mir sehr gefallen! Tack, Liv.

We had a wonderful short stay in Helena’s cabin. It’s very cute and comfortable, and just a short walk to the water if you fancy a swim. The location is very quiet and relaxing. The bus stop to Vaxholm is a 5-10 minute walk away, and it’s also possible to take the boat. Helena is a very friendly host with great communication, thanks for a lovely stay!

Trevligt boende i vackra skärgården. Rekommenderas varmt.
