Family-friendly holiday rentals in Varick

We all loved staying at Alec’s place. It was a beautiful house, very clean and well stocked. Linda met us at the door and gave us a guided tour as well as suggestions on where to shop. The view of the lake is beautiful and if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place, I would definitely recommend staying here!

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

Peppermint Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! The scent of peppermint welcomed us upon our arrival. The fireplace and wide-plank floors created a perfect ambiance as we enjoyed the comfortable, cozy living room. The beds were comfy and the sheets crisp and clean. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to visit again someday.

The place was spacious and relaxing. It had a lot of charm - we loved the old farmhouse feel - and it had everything we needed. I appreciate little things like the electric tea kettle, and that there were extra towels in each bathroom. David was very responsive and helped when we had a small issue, but gave us plenty of space / privacy. We hope to return sometime soon!

The stay at Ferryland was amazing! Ontario lake is such a powerful and beautiful place to be. Jan made the stay possible, easy and comfortable. Will highly consider vacationing again here!!!

Very quiet and peaceful location. Outstanding hot breakfasts delivered to our door every morning was so lovely. Very, very good food! The place was really quite clean, with the exception of some bugs but that’s to be expected in a cabin. The only thing we didn’t love was the water. It smelled very strong in the shower and in the hot tub. If you have smell sensitivity it may be a bit much. There’s probably not much they can do to change that though. We would come again. Our dogs were comfortable as well. A good experience overall. And the air conditioner worked great! It was very hot and humid outside and it stayed comfortable inside. We did bring our own box fan too.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

Oh my goodness, this view is to die for....Dan's house has a huge backyard which slopes towards Seneca Lake, and from the deck you can see not only the lake but so much wildlife: a doe and her fawn showed up several mornings, a fox, so many birds, the pure peaceful setting is absolutely perfect. The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms, a very large kitchen, an equally large living room and 2 full baths. Very tidy and clean, nicely decorated but without clutter... and the location is perfect for exploring the Finger Lakes. Dan is a great host, very communicative, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Christopher's place in a very convenient spot for us to visit friends in the area. We so fortunate that he was able to host last minute and was very responsive. As others have mentioned the bathroom is a bit small if you have a family member with broad shoulders but not a deal breaker. It was so nice that they had such a beautiful landscape and trails in their back yard for our puppy to go on a walk. Would stay again.

Stayed here for four days for a retreat after graduating college. Perfect getaway for one person. Beautiful home close to downtown Ithaca and lots of amazing hiking within reach as well as Cornell University. Exactly what I was looking for.

Richard is an excellent host! Easy check-in and check-out! The location is great! A quiet gate away, but about 10 10-minute drive to Cornell and Ithaca. The place is very clean and provides a lot of supplies, food, snacks, and necessities! Very thoughtful. The communication is excellent! Very clear instructions and very responsive Very pleasant stay!

Lisa was an amazing host! The cabin is very well kept and has everything you could need. Beautiful mountain view too! I went for a week of hiking and Lisa’s son left me a whole page length note telling me about great hiking trails around the area and accurate details on how to get there. Great recommendations too! Will definitely stay here again if I return to this area.

Springs Retreat offers a unique, delightful, and heartwarming escape at a stellar location in the Finger Lakes region. Nestled privately behind the main property in a serene wooded area, Springs Retreat is the perfect blend of nature and comfort, with unbelievably accommodating hosts to boot. The tiny cabin is peaceful, cozy, full of rustic charm, and oh so inviting for unwinding. The unfortunate downside is that your stay will eventually come to an end. I would absolutely stay here again and wouldn't flinch recommending it.

Great spot! The cottage itself was perfect for my wife, myself and 2 small dogs. It was comfortable, private, and mostly quiet. I say mostly as it is located alongside the primary wine trail road for east Seneca lake, so you will occasionally hear some cars whizzing by, but not bad at all, especially when inside. The location for me was also a big highlight! Closely located to some wonderful wineries/breweries, good eats, and parks. Watkins Glen is only like a 15 min drive. I would stay here again.

You can't stay here, because we live here now! :P We couldn't have asked for a better stay to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary, back in the place where we got engaged & honeymooned, and later lived for 5 years. Sarah and Jeremy's place was the perfect home away from home with our toddler, which is all one level and very family friendly. We appreciated having the bathtub & the darkness of the back room when the curtains were pulled made for great sleep for our little guy. The front and back yard is safe and far back from the main road. An extra bonus is the amazing art by Jeremy throughout the home. The kitchen has all essentials and starter items. The house is a short 15-minute-drive from some of our favorite places including Trumansburg (Gimme Coffee, Main St Market, Sundrees), Hector Wine Company, Grist Iron, Watkins Glen State Park, and 5 minutes from Overlook Coffee. We also enjoyed the short commute to the Ravine Trail and other Finger Lakes National Forest trailheads.

This was a terrific stay. The hosts communication from beginning to end was as good as can be expected. The home was cozy and well appointed. The property was beautiful and peaceful. 5 stars, will recommend and return again. Thank you!

Joan and Leo are great hosts. The home and property are beautiful. Home is very spacious and unique. We had such a good time sitting out by the pool, walking the local trails, and just being able to spend quality time together as a family. All the books were fun to look at and read some. All the art work in the home inspired us to leave some of our own art for Joan and Leo.

With both our kids meeting up with us, the kitchen worked like a charm as they were very excited for a home cooked meal. Also, the description on the website matched very well, and it was clear how much the nightly rate would be beyond the two of us. We would certainly stay again.

Magnificent homestead built in 1855. Beautiful grounds. Loved the animals in the barn. Lovely tennis court and swimming pool. Comfy beds! Martha was totally responsive and helpful. Peaceful and relaxing stay!😊

Spending time in the Rochester New York? Consider this property as your place to stay. This house was wonderfully comfortable, all the items worked, and it was excellent for my whole family. We loved the pool, hot tub, the game room, deck........ bed rooms...... I am rating this property as one of the top Air BnB experiences I have rented.

I really enjoyed staying at Gina's place, highly recommend. I like the location as it is near applebees and walmart. Very comfortable and would stay there again.

The place is old, but in beautiful condition. It was a very convenient location for us meeting with local family in the area and close to downtown and the zoo. Unfortunately the weather was still not summertime and the pool was not yet open. We'll have to come back when it's warmer. Plenty of extras in the kitchen. Mark went the extra mile and provided a spare propane tank for the grill, which was a lifesaver, as we had invited family members over and had a full rack of hamburgers and hotdogs to cook.
