The place far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we would have needed to not go anywhere the whole time. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking necessities, the kind beds in every room with vaulted ceilings made us feel like the boujee girls we want to be. The views were breathtaking and being able to have all of our meals outdoors with heat and covering made it so memorable. The house came with cars and outdoor games too to use on the nice open yard. It really felt like the place was ours. The icing on the cake was the chairs, wood and starters to make our own little beach fire right below the house and roast marshmallows while watching the sunset. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Definitely coming back!

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We loved our stay. It was very clean & cozy & very well kept. It was exactly as described. One fridge was more like a freezer (that we could control) which we appreciated for our frozen foods! Even with it not being a full kitchen we still felt able to cook which was nice. The hot tub was lovely after long days of surfing. Felt very safe in a very quiet neighbourhood. Host was kind enough to let us check in early.

Fantastic stay and delivered the solitude in nature that I was looking for. It was a great way to experience the San Juans. The view was stunning, the access to the beach was stellar, and one of the best ways to spend a few days relaxing. The loaner vehicle was perfect to get us from dock to house. Reminder, for anyone looking to book this airBNB, please be mindful of what you pack and bring as there is no store to quickly run to if you forgot something. Also, you need to pack out your recyclables & non-compostables. Overall, would stay again and have already recommended it to others as an Eco-friendly vacation destination.

We loved this amazing view home in Nanaimo. It is comfortable and extremely clean. Brian is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. He has gone the extra mile to make your stay memorable by having so many extras available for your enjoyment like kayaks, crab traps and even extra shoes! The home has an incredible view and water access that offers a beautiful place to relax each day. We saw orcas, humpbacks, and otters from the deck! My 4 yr old grandson loved watching the ferries and float planes. Nanaimo was so fun. We are planning on coming back and definitely want to stay at this home again.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The views were absolutely stunning from every window. The interior was sparkling clean and so thoughtfully designed. The location was perfect, just minutes from Birch Bay State Park for peaceful beach walks. We saw so many great blue herons and bald eagles! Marie was such kind host and always very responsive. Truly such a luxurious experience.

10/10 would escape reality here again. We soaked in the hot tub like blissed-out sea otters, roasted s’mores like it was a competitive sport, and devoured a 3-course meal that somehow nailed it for both a carnivore and a vegan. Great Wi-Fi, so we could post it all in real-time while pretending to unplug. Pure magic. Highly recommend.

My only comment is that is was very hard to find the place especially in the dark. Google maps took me to a neighbouring house and it was very confusing. That being said I didn’t fully ready the hosts instructions so she may have mentioned that! Wonderful place though, we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. The airbnb was spacious and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We were in Parksville awaiting the birth of our grandson so it was a nice place to pass the time until baby's arrival. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals, the area has lots of nice walking trails, we enjoyed using the hot tub and the view from our unit was a nice surprise.

When I read other guests reviews, I could tell that Janet sincerely cared for all of her guests. If you are searching for a home away from home, stop searching because Janet is the GEM in the Sunshine Coast treasure box.

We were a group of three couples with two kids between us, and the house was perfect for us (air hockey was a hit, as were the spectacular views). When the door code didn’t work on our way in, the agents helped us right away — very responsive.

What a wonderful house in a fantastic location. The house was very homely and restful and was more than adequate for our eight family members. Penny and Andy were always very responsive to any queries we had. This made our stay very easy and enjoyable. We hope to return in the future.

Had a great time at Jane's place. It is in a great location close to the beach and walking trails. Also within walking distance of great restaurants. The house had everything you need for cooking, sleeping and relaxing.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this property. So much so, that we considered buying a cottage in this community. Our stay was a luxury experience. Kate and Fohla were wonderful hosts and gave us personal attention as needed. We will be back!

Peaceful and lovely house, the views from the balcony were beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nanaimo.

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

Pictures couldn't possibly capture how well appointed and perfectly situated this place is- 5 stars!!! You can sit with a coffee on the beautiful deck listening to the birds and watching the boats pass up and down Howe Sound while snow capped coastal mountains frame the posrcard backdrop, amazing! The suite has everything you need and is well laid out with impressive attention to the details: Comfy bed, proper linens, fluffy towels, premium soaps etc. We walked down to the village and it's a 30 minute peacefull walk down the road. Highly reccomened!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful space. The place is spotless and very well stocked. It is clear that Elidah and Ed have put a lot of love and care into their home. Our kids loved all of the nature and beach treasures and the wonderful selection of toys and books! Highly recommend. Thanks again!

We had a great stay! It’s the perfect spot for exploring the area and coming home to after a day of outdoor adventures. The hot tub, the big and well-stocked kitchen and lots of space to lounge.

Wow, we really enjoyed our stay! The location is beautiful, and we loved the home (lots of room for our family to spread out). We also appreciated Brent’s recommendations for activities in the area. We would absolutely return for another visit!

What an amazing place. Twice as good as the photos. Beautiful house, very comfy. The garden leaves you speechless. Just sitting there watching the Bald Eagles is very special. The view is spectacular plus we saw Orca, sea lions, sea otter and a whale, all from the garden and we were only there 4 nights. Best place we have stayed.

We had an amazing time and would stay again. On several occasions the kids mentioned how calm this place felt. They don't ever say that, so that's something. The privacy and the sauna with a large deck for viewing etc is a plus. On the last day prior to leaving we had the pleasure of watching a bear cross the low tide plains. amazing

This was the second time we’ve stayed at John’s place and it was just as amazing as the first time. John was very responsive and super friendly. His beautiful home is always so peaceful being right on the water. I would absolutely recommend staying here when you visit Alert Bay.

This place was perfect for us. Steps away from the beach and water, beautiful views, quiet & relaxing. We also had the supreme gift of a otter rolling around on the dock right in front of our deck!
