Family-friendly holiday rentals in Upper Austria

A great place to stay! We stayed there with 5 people for a relaxing weekend and felt very comfortable. The apartment was just as described and very clean!! The jacuzzi, the steam showers and the view from the balcony are of course a great luxury. There are a few beautiful lakes and hikes in the area. All in all great and we would like to come again. :)

This apartment is as pictured. Very clean and inviting. You do have to park about a short block from the apartment and if you want to use the laundry, you have to pay for it, but the location is great. It is close to Salzburg without the city crowds. The views are amazing and there is shopping close if you want to cook. The 1.5 baths are nice and the pool is great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean apartment outside of the city limits of Salzburg.

Bernhard was a very good and friendly host. The self-check-in worked smoothly. Bernhard was absolutely reliable for questions. The apartment exceeded our expectations, especially considering the size and is a great starting point for excursions towards Salzburg and the surrounding area. For visitors with smaller children, it is worth noting that the sleeping area is designed as a gallery. This can be seen from the photos, but we were kind of surprised - but definitely positive in our case. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked for our needs, we were also very pleased about the Nespresso coffee machine and corresponding capsules (guest gift). The accommodation was a good base for our wonderful holiday.

Beautiful, luxurious home located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We loved our stay and wished we would have booked it for longer. Super clean and quiet.

We had a great weekend at Villa Traunseeblick. Herta, our host, graciously accepted our last minute booking. The apartment was very clean, well equipped with everything you needed and had an amazing outdoor space to relax and enjoy views of the lake. It was very comfortable and just what we needed. My partner and I enjoyed the stay in the Holzknechthütte very much. The accommodation is rustic and simple and still offers some comfort (warm water for the outdoor bathtub, small refrigerator, WiFi, electric stove and wood stove, running cold water in the hut, kettle, pots and pans, dishes). The location is quiet, surrounded by nature, and yet easily accessible: by car via Forststraße or on foot from Lunz am See via the beautiful and interesting railway adventure trail (duration approx. 1.5 hours). The contact person on site was very accommodating and friendly. When it rains, it is a bit cramped in the hut, but it is well insulated and remained warm even in cool temperatures.

This was a perfect fit for our family. The grocery was an easy walk around the corner. The bus stop was a block away for access to everything in Salzburg and the train station. Thank you Helmut for the wonderful hospitality and all the local guidance.

many thanks Gabi, had a great short stay in Salzburg with a few friends. Center is easily accessible by bus, quite neighbourhood and a SPAR and a bakery accessible by foot. The place was cozy and lots of room for 5 people. Would definitely book it again!

Great apartment and johannes responded very quickly to our question! 30 mins walk but we found the bus 5 mins walk away, no 3 and no 8! Salzburg was amazing, will definitely come back!

We absolutely loved staying at Sara and her families beautiful place. They were a lovely friendly family who were very accommodating. It was a great first experience of Austria with a beautiful location. My children (5 and 2) loved every minute and there was plenty to do in the local area such as parks, local water parks and an adventure park not far to drive to as well as the river. It was a perfect location for attending the local SBAM festival in Wels. Thank you for letting us stay at your place and all of your recommendations 🥰 we hope to visit again one day ☺️

Rea's apartment is wonderful - it's very big with one vast, one normal-sized and one smaller bedroom. It's light and airy and we particularly liked that you could walk outside into the kitchen/dining room, the huge bedroom and the normal-sized one without going through the internal corridor. The one bathroom is huge and contains a bath-cum-shower. The beds are comfortable, and 5 people could easily sleep there. Rea herself was so smiling, friendly and welcoming - it was a pleasure to meet her and her son. Eugendorf village centre is about 800 metres down the road, with the shops you would need. (Prices are extremely high : but this is the case everywhere in this part of Austria.) The S-Bahn station is down the road, and there is one train an hour into Salzburg Hbf. The wifi was good in parts of the apartment, particularly the kitchen area. The piano can be played, but it needs a tune and a general revision 😀. I enjoyed playing it nevertheless. All in all we loved our stay- thanks!

Everything was as described, we felt very comfortable!

We had the very best time in the apartment! Everything was super clean and very well equipped. The pool was particularly convenient in the same building. The location is great – in a few minutes you will be at the lake or at the Schafbergbahn. Ideal if you like to hike or just enjoy nature. Check-in was totally straightforward and the host was super helpful – with lots of great tips for excursions and restaurants around. The view from the balcony to the mountains was also particularly beautiful – simply fantastic. We would come back anytime!

I was personally received in a very friendly manner by Gerlinde. The accommodation has everything you need and is very nicely located in nature. By bus, you can reach the accommodation from Salzburg main station in about 45 minutes. Thalgau city center is just under a kilometer away where you can get everything. I left early because of the weather forecast (heavy rain) but still felt very comfortable. I'd love to come back!

The stay was very calm and peaceful surroundings. You just hear the sound of birds and mountains look like they also sleep in the night and you get up in the morning with fresh air from Nature. 100% Recommended.

Very spacious, clean and lovingly furnished apartment with a wonderful terrace. We were very warmly welcomed and immediately felt comfortable.

The hostess is a very friendly, lovable and cheerful person. You will be very warmly welcomed. It helps you in every situation. If you have any questions, that's no problem The location of the accommodation is ideal if you like nature. When you wake up and the first thing you see is a beautiful forest, you know you're in the right place. It's nice and quiet. The saltwater pool is a pleasant 25 degrees. Great room layout. Kitchen is well equipped. I can only recommend this accommodation. One night was almost too short. I would highly recommend a week or more.
