Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Unawatuna

Had stayed at mirrisa at this place, place is extremely clean and well maintained, host's are very kind and I highly recommend anyone to consider this place for smooth stay

The apartment is located on the first floor of a three-story building; the family of the owner of the apartment lives on the second floor. You will also have access to the roof on which peacocks fly. The apartments are large, you have a full kitchen with (microwave, blender, rice cooker, stove) there is an ironing board and iron. Vacuum cleaner and cleaning products. The owner also bought additional shampoo and hair conditioner. The house itself is located not far from the roadway, but the sounds of cars are absolutely inaudible. Keep in mind that the house is located on the ground floor and some insects that are not dangerous may enter you. There were some interruptions with the Internet, but the owner did everything possible to correct the situation, but I advise you to buy an additional SIM card with Internet. The owner speaks very good English and helps with all questions. If you decide to stay you will feel safe with this family😊

Stayed at Lisindu’s place with 2 other friends…the place was great and clean. He had everything ready for us. The place was comfortable and very homey. We absolutely loved the outside area!! The kitchen was clean and left well prepared for us. The location is very central. Just 4mins to the railway station, 8mins to other attractions like Kai beach, Kurumba day, Nomad and Moochies. Linen was very clean. Lisindu was very friendly and welcoming. It was very easy to work with him. Would definitely recommend the place for a group of friends!

Very good place to stay. Location is quiet, not far from city center(few minutes on bike or 5-10 minutes walking). Host provided everything needed(fan, kitchen, extension). Minuses: 1. Internet is not working well(either mobile internet dialog or router, provided by host, not working well 2. Place was a bit dusty. It’s definitely needs a cleaning

We stayed at Rasika Villa 25th of Jan - 30th of Jan. The villa is great. Its very clean, comfortable, nice and beautiful. Not far from tourist center, beach and railway station. We really enjoyed our short vacations in Hikkaduwa and are glad to meet Chandana and his friendly family.

Sameera was very helpful from the beginning. We went to his place when a monkey created an electric shortage in the whole country, and he made sure that we had enough water, lamp and kept us posted about all the updates. During our stay we were able to enjoy the monkey family in the trees around, the peacock that was chilling around, many birds and reptiles. It is surrounded by the jungle so the view and vibe is great, be prepared to fight mosquitos if they usually love you (my partner didn't get as much as me). The kitchen was the best equipped we had so far in any Airbnb we had, as digital nomad since 7 months around Asia, it was very appreciated. The bed was comfortable. We struggled a bit with the washing machine that is half manual, and wasn't draining the water completely. Wi-Fi lagged a bit per moment, but nothing excessive, it was otherwise fast and perfect to work with. Overall a very great quality price, we highly recommend Sameera's place.

I had a pleasant stay in this small private house (the owner lives elsewhere). This listing is new so it's in new condition. There is a large king size bed of very good quality (+ a small extra bed in the entrance), air conditioning and a fan, a washing machine and a kitchen. There is zero outside noise so I slept very well. The property is located in a residential and non-touristy area, with lots of greenery. Upon arrival, the owner can pick us up from the main road with his motorbike. There are 2 good restaurants within a 12-minute walk, by the beach, and several grocery stores a 5-minute walk away.

Nice place with great location close to the ocean! Kind and friendly hosts, sometimes treated us to a delicious breakfast, although it was not included.

Stayed from April 31 to March 16. We agreed with the host about a transfer from the airport for an honest price and also a transfer back. The place is very comfortable, definitely worth the money, the host is very friendly, treated with fruits and invited for a traditional breakfast. There will be many monkeys around you, a variety of birds and cute 🐿️ monkey squirrels have never entered our territory since they are shy but it's a pleasure to watch them from the outside. With the safety of the property, you can be absolutely peaceful. Also, friends came to us and the house is designed to accommodate 4 people but without an overnight stay, since the air conditioning is only in one bedroom and the rest of the room is cooled by fans. The kitchen is large, spacious with a stove, blender, rice cooker, and everything you need if you want to cook yourself. The shower room with toilet is large and spacious. The host also offers a tour to Ella and can take you there in his own car for a good price. And on the 3rd floor you will find 2 sun loungers and an amazing view of the starry sky 🌌

we spend 11 nights at this place and re absolutely happy with it regardless of the barking dogs in the night and friendly during the day.

Lovely space away from the busy streets of Unawatuna. The fan above the bed was a life saver as it can get very warm at night if you have the shutters shut at night like we did. Quick tuk tuk ride into the main Street or a short walk by Kumara shortcut direction. Very welcoming family, greeted with coconuts and tea in the morning. Kumara the villa owner was very helpful with tuk tuk lift around Unawatuna and dropping us to Mirissa.

Quite simply my favourite place I've ever stayed. We went as two couples, myself and girlfriend in the downstairs apartment and another couple in the upstairs apartment. I can't recommend the place enough, you stay on a small compound of two villas and an elderly couple who are the caretakers for the grounds. It is private and secure, the caretakers are lovely and often came around offering us fruit and coconuts as a nice gesture. The pool is cleaned everyday and is lovely, there is also an out door shower next to the pool. We also saw a lot of wildlife around the apartments which was amazing. The downfalls is that the water pressure in the upstairs apartment sometime didn't really work so they had to use the downstairs apartments shower. Also it is about a 20 minute walk from town, which you might see as a bonus. It's easy and cheap to get a tuk tuk to town as and when you need one. It should also be noted that the pool is shared with the other villa in the compound, so it is not completely private. Hikka Villa's the company that runs the villas were fantastic, great with communication, helped us organise a tour and were over all very helpful and pleasant to deal with

I with my friends stayed here and we really enjoyed our time there! The place is lovely and 100% matches photo, Location is also very good - there're beach, cafes and big grocery store are in 15-minute walk. Kelani and Shantha were very welcoming and supportive in everything! Highly recommend this place, would love to revisit it!

We spent a week at Breeze Villa with our 3 year old daughter. The location of Anomas Villa is amazing - directly located at the beach. You can literally wake up and walk straight into the beautiful sea. In the morning, swimming is very safe for children. However, this location comes with the downside that there are no shops, cafes or good restaurants in walking distance. As TukTuks are easily accessible all the time, this was no problem for us because Unawatuna was just a 5-10 min TukTuk ride away. The villa itself is very big with 4 bedrooms (all with AC, 3 with mosquito nets) and 2 living rooms. The terrace is stunning. One should be aware that you pay for the location and the size - the equipment and overall condition of the villa is ok. Chaminda is a great host, responded to all our needs immediately and was very attentive. His family even prepared a Sri Lankan meal for us on our last day. Overall, we had an amazing time at Breeze Villa and can highly recommend the villa to people who want to spend their holidays in a unique location!

This is by far the best Airbnb experience I had, Shashika made all the difference on my stay, upon arrival I met him and his family organizing the house for our arrival, really kind and sweet people who later received us for an amazing lunch. Anything I would need for my stay Shashika was up to assist, from renting a bike to an additional fan I got within an hour. The house is beachfront and it’s really private and peaceful there, the morning walks were amazing. There’s a beachfront restaurant 5 minutes walking from the beach which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. In adicional shashika’s family offers breakfast which we ordered and it was great. The suits are comfortable with AC and comfortable beds. Nothing to complain but just to thank for the great hospitality trough the week.

This place is so cute and brimming with jungle life. A flock of peafowl and some monkeys would pop out just behind the house everyday. The two gentlemen on site were such great helpers with everything from our bags to our breakfast. I would absolutely stay here again given the chance and think you should too!

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. The accommodation is even more beautiful than in the photos: the setting is incredible and the villa is neat. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and the pool, at perfect temperature. Vinura is a host who has a hospitality and is willing to help in all circumstances, both in terms of the stay itself and recommendations for nearby visits. We loved our night at this Airbnb and can only encourage you to visit if you're visiting Galle!

Very, very nice, friendly host.The house is in the forest of the mountain.It is very comfortable to wake up in the morning.Suitable for a little chic.There are also cute cozy kittens.You can book breakfast from the host's house, all very fresh food, 1 person price 680.The host also has his cucupulator.Free to drive us to nearby beach.

Nicely tucked away in a quiet(ish) spot away from traffic noise (the coast road is LOUD), this is a good base to enjoy the beach (3 mins walk) without being deafened by all the busses honking! Unexpectedly comfy bed - firm mattress, no creaking, good mosquito net and decent ceiling fan. Beautiful garden full of exciting plants and creatures. Note that the "2nd bedroom" is in the loft up a steep ladder with no separation wall. For us that worked out fine as a kid's room but be aware in case you need more privacy or accessibility ;)

I would highly recommend this place for any person who is searching for a place to stay
