Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Unawatuna

Southwinds estate is a beautiful old estate home in a quiet and peaceful location. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and there is almost no traffic in the little road that leads you there. The house itself was amazing. It is full of old world charm. Our host and chef Wasantha was amazing. His cooking is really exceptional. We asked for Sri Lankan cuisine but with a little less chili. This is also a working cinnamon, rubber and tea estate. We were given a tour of the cinnamon and rubber production facilities and also a beautiful walk through the plantations. If you want a little time out from the hustle and bustle of the coast then this is your place.

Beautiful, comfortable, somewhat ascetic villa, but at the same time it has everything you need for a comfortable life: blender, coffee machine, washing machine, great internet. We had a huge garden at our disposal, where lizards and monkeys often came. We were very pleased to play with Manu, he was always ready to help and make our stay unforgettable. Thank You!

There were 5 of us at Sheeta's place and we felt right at home. Since Sheeta is from Europe, the decor and cleanliness is the best we have experienced in Sri Lanka. The space is a bit outside. You can walk about 40 minutes to the center, or relax and order a Pick Me for little money (about 270 rupee with tuktuk). For this, you have your peace and quiet and you are right on the djungle! 😁 We had a brilliant time and I would book it again anytime. 💯 Thanks for the wonderful time 🔥

This is a great Airbnb for easy access to Weligama and Ahangama. The place is in its own private garden facing a green locals cricket pitch and a big temple. Every afternoon we saw Peacocks in the garden which was a nice welcome surprise. The space is modern, super clean and has everything you need. We were a family of 3 and found it to be ideal for what we needed. If we are ever in the area again we’d stay without a doubt!

Nice place with great location close to the ocean! Kind and friendly hosts, sometimes treated us to a delicious breakfast, although it was not included.

My partner and I spent three glorious weeks in this beautiful home. It’s an effectively utilized small space that’s incredibly comfortable, very clean and easy to live in. The kitchen was well equipped to cook all our meals, the AC was a treat in the bedroom and the balcony is such a serene spot to have breakfast or do some work throughout the day. The home is close walking distance to everything we needed including shops, markets, the beach and the gym. Vaas and his wife Nadisha are gracious and wonderful hosts, truly making us feel at home and treating us to home made cooking or inviting us to celebrate national holiday traditions with them. We are forever grateful and would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

this place is perfect! it's exactly as the pictures! the location is wonderful as it's sat right on the main weligama road. several restaurants within a 2 minute walk and the beach in around 5 minutes. the local cargills supermarket with wine and spirits is a 8 min walk. there is some road traffic noise here as you would expect from being in the hotspot, with earplugs it was no bother to us! oleg sister lives in the apartment underneath and she is incredibly friendly and helpful. she also has a 5 month old kitten who loved to escort us on and off the property (which was a bonus of us cat lovers). she also put a projector in the apartment for us which was handy to sit down and cosy up watching that after a surfing day!

I loved my stay at Nomads. Next to the lake, very peaceful and quiet & still just a close scooter ride away from Ahangama. Sunil and the rest of the crew are the best. Stayed there for a months and was still sad to leave.

Don't expect luxury. This home is basic but at the same time very charming. 10 meters to the beach. The days we stayed here you could not swim in the ocean due to large waves. Close proximity to Hikkaduwa center and see turtles. The accommodation is arranged with bbq grill (fish) on the beach which was very much appreciated!

I with my friends stayed here and we really enjoyed our time there! The place is lovely and 100% matches photo, Location is also very good - there're beach, cafes and big grocery store are in 15-minute walk. Kelani and Shantha were very welcoming and supportive in everything! Highly recommend this place, would love to revisit it!

Good, quiet location. Family owned appartment with terrace and monkeys in the garden. Owner has a tuktuk and will take you anywhere for reasonable price. Don`t use tuktuk mafia in town, this will allways cost you 3x more. Owners are very responsive and will be happy to help you with everything. Loundry service is possible for fee (reasonable). Possibility to order breakfast and other meals for very reasonable price. Ramya is just an amazing cook and she can cook everything for you (P.S. Crab was just delicious). Waiting for promised Roti recipe:))).
