Holiday rentals with a kayak in Twin Cities

Our group of ladies traveled from all over the US to spend a long weekend together. We were absolutely charmed by the mid-century modern home the owners have cultivated. This home had a fabulous fully stocked kitchen which we made good use of throughout our stay. The living spaces were amazing, and we enjoyed each of the rooms throughout the weekend. The entry level living room was a haven for reading and enjoying the lake views or taking a nap on the lovely chaise lounge, the dining and family rooms were a primary gathering spot for reading, playing games and talking and catching up. The media room offered plenty of space for our group to listen to music (we had a pianist with us). The photographs of the outdoor deck don’t give it justice on how large it is with 3 distinct seating areas. The weather only permitted us to use the outdoor space one of the days of our trip. The home is well maintained, very close to an amazing trail for hiking, biking or running and the dock looks new.

Kelly’s place was perfect for our needs. The two living areas gave us plenty of room to spread out, which made the stay especially comfortable. The view of the pond was peaceful and beautiful—a lovely backdrop. Everything we needed was provided, and the space was clean, cozy, and well-appointed. The workspace was also ideal for a member of our group. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return!

Booked a stay with some friends for a long weekend at the lake and Heidi’s place was absolutely perfect! She was always responsive, and well prepared with everything we needed from towels to basic kitchen utensils and everything in between. The hot tub was a huge perk and we also had fun taking the kayaks out on the lake. Definitely would recommend booking with Heidi for anyone looking for a relaxing escape near the twin cities!

This was a fantastic place to stay. It is right on the river and is in a very quiet neighborhood. There is a wonderful dock with the place and there is a marina with boat ramp and rentals about 500 feet away. We fished off of the dock all week and caught Drum, Walleye, and Perch. Hudson WI is 5 minutes away and Stillwater MN is about 15 minutes away. Both towns are full of good restaurants and shops.

Our family loved our stay at this beautiful lake home. Some of our favorites included: All the attention to detail- from skewers & firewood for roasting marshmallows to the delicious smelling bath products to everything you’d need for a great cup of coffee Truly designed for larger families- plenty of beds + seats for everyone The beautiful lake view- we spent most of our time in the backyard The garage with pool and foosball- our adult kids especially enjoyed this feature The decor- we felt right at home in this well designed space The lower level screened in porch- when not outside we were enjoying the view from there- it’s a great spot for morning coffee The accessibility of the lake- it’s quite shallow for a bit (up to knees) which made it easy for dunking. We also enjoyed the kayaks. We had groceries delivered from Walmart (better than the Cub in the area)- would recommend- easy and great to have a stocked fridge b/c you won’t want to leave

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Lily Lake Retreat. The weather was not on our side for the weekend of our trip, so we got cozy at Allison’s place. The beds were very comfortable, lots of places to relax and wonderful views of the lake with wide panel windows. We enjoyed the sauna and loved the accessibility to downtown. Allison was a kind and incredibly responsive and accommodating host. It made for a perfect bachelorette weekend for my sister! Would definitely stay again.

This is an awesome getaway on the river, the house exceeds expectations and is amazing for hosting a large group! Even though the weather didn’t cooperate for our weekend, there are more than enough amenities for a cozy indoor experience and of course we enjoyed the hot tub! It’s a beautiful place and Brian was very helpful and quick to respond to communication. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a serene and luxurious retreat and gathering space!

This home was in a lovely setting. We enjoyed walking around the camp as well as sitting at one of the numerous outdoor tables and watching wildlife and scenery. The Garden House is spacious and was just perfect for our group of four friends for a retreat!

Kammi was such a great hosts and person. Thank you again for another wonderful family vacation. Your home was we needed to relax. It was great to finally meet you.

We loved staying in the St. Francis Cottage! It was so peaceful - we enjoyed both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. We jad everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are great for walking and enjoying nature and it was a very short drive to scenic overlooks and downtown Stillwater. It was a perfect getaway!

Great space for an extended family stay. Enjoyed the great patio spaces, beautiful lake with kayak, well appointed kitchen, and large dining table and living room. Main floor was very accessible for family with a walker and they were able to navigate the few steps to the main patio too, but would be nice to have the main bathroom shower upgraded some day to be a more accessible walk in shower (there is a walk in shower upstairs). Host/brother very responsive to a few questions that came up.

we loved our stay here! the home was so cozy & felt like the perfect ‘home away from home’ for our long weekend! we loved how it was right on the water. we didn’t end up having great weather, so we didn’t get to take advantage of outdoor amenities, but loved that there was a fire pit, grill & outdoor seating overlooking the water :) beautiful space, views & lots of natural light! we enjoyed buffalo books & forget me not cafe in downtown buffalo which was about a 15 min drive!

Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

What a lovely place to stay! Our group of nine paddleboarded, had a campfire, enjoyed visiting in the gazebo and walked to dinner each night. Beautifully decorated! Baskets of cozy blankets, plenty of towels, extra outdoor furniture, s’mores fixings, and laundry were extras we appreciated. Thank you!

This was a fabulous place to stay - just the right size for two, and very cozy - while friends did their own rustic cabin camping in nearby William O'Brien! A side-channel of the St. Croix River is just out the door, with a short hiking trail through the nearby woods, and birds singing their spring songs. It was just what we needed for a quiet respite.

Great location not to far from the twin cities. It was great that there were kayaks and a canoe there for us to use free of charge. Also, there were instructions for using all of the necessities in the home, like the hot tub, fireplace, etc. Thanks for a great, relaxing weekend!

AMAZING cabin. We had a family get away for a couple nights and didn’t want to leave! Great running trails, fishing, comfortable and beautiful home. The fall colors were breathtaking. Tricia was a great host! We really hope that we can come back soon!

The Cozy Cabin was the perfect oasis to have down time from a full weekend of activities visiting family and friends from out of town. We loved sitting by the bonfire each night! Definitely would recommend and hope to visit again!

We had such a great time at this cabin! We felt at home immediately and there was something for all of us to do at any given point. From the comfy couch to the dock where endless hours were spent by our kids casting a line- we had just the most enjoyable visit!

I just wanted to say this place was very homey, close enough to the city and super easy to get to. This home had many games and activities to do at the location, for kids and adults. The place was clean and super easy to access. If you’re into the lake life this place is awesome, big dock, clear lake, and lots of fish for viewing or catching. Kevin is a super awesome host. He is very responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend this place and we will be back in the future. Thanks again Kevin,
