we had a very pleasant week in this quiet house with very beautiful landscapes. the pool nearby refreshed us well and made the children happy. the house is typical and nice the outdoor shower is very nice in summer. Teresa is a very nice person and very available.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

We are very happy with the accommodation! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything contributed to a comfortable and peaceful stay. The space is cozy, larger than we thought, well cared for and with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing after a day full of adventures. An experience we certainly want to repeat! 🏡✨

It was a Pazer staying at this place. Very clean and tidy, and the space was exactly as described! Excellent communication with the Host who helped us with everything! In addition to having facilitated the Check in, we still left the air on for greater comfort! And it also gave us some mimimhos; an excellent Mel that everyone loved and some fantastic Kiwis! The house is incredible — a beautifully renovated old mansion with plenty of space for the whole family. We were a large family group of all ages, and everyone felt right at home. There were lots of toys for the kids, as well as a pool and a small playground outside. We loved the garden; it was just a pity that the weather wasn’t ideal, so we couldn’t enjoy it fully. One great feature for bigger groups is the number of bathrooms, along with the huge living room, which has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. I personally loved the kitchen, which was fully equipped with every appliance we could possibly need. Last but not least, there is also a small vegetable garden open to guests — we enjoyed a few onions and used some fresh lemons for our tea. :) Antonio was very responsive and helped us promptly whenever we had any issues. We truly hope to return to this beautiful place someday!

Bucolic and isolated site with its own access to the clean water stream. At the end of the day, two Serra da Estrela probably attracted by the smell of the barbecue 😆

Absolutely stunning spot and their home was so lovely. We came when they were having a heatwave and the space stayed cool, especially downstairs, which we were very thankful for! Loved sitting on their little patio watching the sunset and listening to the owls. Very relaxing and special spot!

Very nice house with everything you could want for a quiet and comfortable stay in a beautiful surroundings and amazing view. We were a group of 7 people and we enjoyed every minute staying in the house, making good use of the pool, outside area, kitchen and bbq. Jose Manuel and Sofia were great hosts, providing good and swift answers eveytime we needed. Short note regarding driving. The roads in this side of Portugal can be curvy with a lot of hills, so we recommend taking good time and drive slowly. Apple and Gggle Maps can be a little tricky in this side of the world as sometimes it can take you to narrow streets only because it makes the route shorter by few meters so usually it is best to stay on roads marked as national roads (N***).

Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

Our stay was fantastic! The house is extremely comfortable and perfect for a group of friends. We took full advantage of the pool, barbecue and dining room. It is a house with beautiful and peaceful decor, ideal for relaxing and enjoying good times together. It allowed us to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a good rest. We highly recommend it and will certainly come back!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

From now on, thank you for the sympathy and the way we were received. The air conditioning worked very well on the cold nights we spent there. All very easy and practical for those looking to eat at home. A Good Years for everyone. Best regards Paulo Ferreira

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Beautiful location stunning house. Great host. Do the vineyard tour it is great lots of information and gorgeous wine! Hard to leave the house for day trips as it is so tempting to stay in! Local people are friendly and helpful. Thank you for an amazing week we will be back for sure!!!!

We really enjoyed our time here. The house is wide, warm and with a lot of stuff to do. We felt comfortable and entertained during our entire stay.

Our stay at this place was UNREAL! The views was like something taken from a movie with its hills and scenery. Jose, the host we were in contact with, made the whole stay even better! The wine tour was incredible and informative and having access to the pool during these hot days was incredible. The comments said the pool was private but in the booking it says shared pool. But I imagine the pool is restricted to the ones in the houses, not the camping. Overall, an incredible stay!! Will definitely come back some day!

It was a good few days ago. Weather helped. The kids loved the pool and the space. And the adults too. :)

We had a very relaxing time at João’s place. The surroundings are beautiful and calm, the apartment was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The space of D. Fátima is excellent. The conditions are the ones that are presented and it is an excellent place to spend a few relaxed days. D Fátima was very helpful throughout the stay and was always available for whatever was necessary. A place to revisit, no doubt!

Very good house, with good indoor and outdoor space. Good kitchen and outside area. All available (pots, appliances, crockery, towels, etc.). Very attentive host.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.
