Holiday rentals with beach access in Tōkai Region

this was our second time staying here, and we had an amazing stay once again. the accommodation is super clean and looks just like the pictures. the area is peaceful, with plenty of places to eat at. it’s a short walk to the convenience stores and the train station as well, which has a nice grocery store located next to it. the host is very nice and responds quickly; he also gave us great recommendations. overall this is a great accommodation and we would definitely recommend this place to other people.

Airi was very friendly and helpful, we stayed at her apartment, which was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The surroundings were spectacular but maybe were bit difficult to move by foot, but there were busses that connected to shimoda station.

This place is like your very caring family member set up everything you need for your stay- comfortable and well equipped. The owner Kobayashi san is very responsive and communication was always prompt. I’d definitely come back again next time. Thank you.

We really loved our stay here. The space is small but we’ll organized and. Comfortable, with room for your belongings. The place was spotless and the location was perfect for everything. We would come back again.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a quiet place. Minutes away from the ocean, and great restaurants, this place was also very clean and spacious. The host was also very responsive and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sites to visit. I would definitely recommend

Two of us stayed for two nights, but it was a very clean, comfortable and functional room.The parking lot was also easy to understand, and the convenience store was a 1-minute walk away.I cooked myself, but the kitchen was small, but it had everything I needed, and there was a washing machine, which was easy to spend time in.The bath is small, but it is a famous area for hot springs, so it is recommended to enjoy the bath outside.Also, the unit bath is small, but it has a function as a dryer, so my clothes got quite wet due to the rain this time, but it dried quickly.There is also a drying rod hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, so it was useful for drying it after washing.It was quiet and warm with double windows.I was able to use the room extensively, even though it was a relatively small room, and I had a comfortable stay with two adults.Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay at Ken’s unit. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the washing machine with dryer which so convenient. It’s within walking distance to Denis and 7-11, which made it easy to grab essentials. The only downside for us was the bed, which was a bit too soft for our preference. Overall, it’s a comfortable place with great amenities and location, definitely worth the price.

Hiroki was the host during our stay. The place really did match the description and actually exceeded our expectations. Hiroki was always a generous, friendly and helpful host while also sensitively respecting our privacy. And his English is perfect which also helped! He told us this had been his grandfather’s house. He still runs a super community cafe and gift shop adjoining the house. The garden is really lovely too. And the bikes! The house was perfect for our small family reunion in Japan. Chigasaki is a lovely town, off the international tourist map but with gorgeous coastline, surfing scene, Hawaii vibes!, views of Mount Fuji and fabulous restaurants and bars. Also very well connected by train and a great local bus which stops right outside the house. Day trips to Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo and Hakone. Also took a weekend to visit Kyoto by bullet train. All a perfect introduction for a first (or subsequent) visit to Japan.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Hiroyuki and Akiko's place. The house was very relaxing and spacious. We were just 3 people, but it would be wonderful for large groups and is especially great for families with kids. It was very well-stocked with cooking supplies, toys, games, and everything you need for the beach. The location is ideal- about 10-15 min into town and a short walk to a beautiful beach. Akiko and Hiroyuki were very thoughtful hosts, sharing local recommendations and ideas for things to do. We took their suggestions and had a great time. We also visited their Yakiniku restaurant and had a delicious meal. We would love to stay with them again!

Beautiful home next to Lake Biwa. Its a refreshing break from the city and the neighbors are all very nice. The house was very clean and spacious, the host was always responsive and helpful, even gave me a ride when I left back to the train station so I didn't have to walk with all my luggage. Only downside would be the steep stairs, so if you have balance issues maybe sleep in the room downstairs. Overall very nice place and my 2 weeks went by too quickly here. Will definitely rebook next time I'm in Kyoto/Osaka area.

This place was absolutely amazing. Super spacious, comfortable, and just a short walk from the train station. The views were phenomenal, and taking the bike around the community was a highlight. Just be ready for a few hills (you’ll feel in shape after!). The beach is right in front of the property, and the night views are unreal. There are some awesome local food spots and cozy cafes nearby. The host and her family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their home is beautiful. I’m already looking forward to planning another trip here. I’d absolutely recommend staying if you get the chance.

The place is located on the hill with the amazing mountains and ocean view and prestine facilities just as shown in the photos. You can also ask Yukitoshi san for the private boat fishing. It was very relaxing and fun at the same time! You can bring the fish you've caught to their restaurant and they will cook them for you. That was quite a remarkable experience! I will definitely come back here again! The host is very responsive and kind as well. Strongly recommend to stay this place of you are looking for something slightly rural and Onsen(Hot spring) experiences!

I stayed for two nights during the New Year holidays It says there are only large plates, but The table was large, so there was no problem There was an earthenware pot and a cassette stove I should have asked (I brought it) I recommend it because it's a comfortable home I was in a hurry to check out I didn't get to say goodbye to Rolf Sorry about that Thanks for your hospitality Thank you

This is a very, very good house, not far from the station and easy to walk to.There is a small yard at the door, where you can barbecue, it is full of plants, and it is very beautiful.There is a shallow river at the door, there are many ducks in the river, the river flows directly to the sea, and it really only takes 30 seconds to walk to the sea.Although this is not a very famous beach, the beach is not very beautiful, but there are few people, you can enjoy a private beach.Unfortunately, it was a bit cold when we arrived, and we couldn't go swimming. The house itself is very, very spacious and can accommodate five or six people, it's a bit of a waste for two people to stay.I like the sliding door next to the bedroom the most, opening it is a small river, and you can see the trees outside, the sun, very comfortable.I regret not staying a few more days to enjoy the small town of Izu.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Kamakura. Toshi is truly the perfect host. Even before we arrived, we were provided with plenty of useful information, also with many tips about the area, rarely we have experienced such a great service. And the apartment itself was also just great and very well located. There was nothing missing, you had a great view, the bed was very comfortable. We will be happy to come back! :)

This place was great! Right next to the beach, nice views, and in a really cute, peaceful area. It’s close to a train station, so wasn’t hard to get our luggage to and the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again!
