Holiday rentals with beach access in Tōkai Region

this was our second time staying here, and we had an amazing stay once again. the accommodation is super clean and looks just like the pictures. the area is peaceful, with plenty of places to eat at. it’s a short walk to the convenience stores and the train station as well, which has a nice grocery store located next to it. the host is very nice and responds quickly; he also gave us great recommendations. overall this is a great accommodation and we would definitely recommend this place to other people.

Airi was very friendly and helpful, we stayed at her apartment, which was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The surroundings were spectacular but maybe were bit difficult to move by foot, but there were busses that connected to shimoda station.

Tout est parfait. C’est neuf. C’est grand. Cela répond aux critères de la propreté japonaise. Ultra bien équipé. Il ne manque rien. Grâce à une clef cassée, nous avons rencontré notre hôte. Charmant, si serviable, si sympa. Il a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Il a réussi. Merci. Hammamatsu est une ville à découvrir pendant son festival des cerfs volants.

We really loved our stay here. The space is small but we’ll organized and. Comfortable, with room for your belongings. The place was spotless and the location was perfect for everything. We would come back again.

Le séjour chez Mari a été tellement agréable. Nous ne voulions pas être avec les touristes de Hakone. Nous voulions vivre une expérience intime, avec les locaux, les pêcheurs, la mer… nous avons fait toutes les attractions d’Hakone: Open Air museum, gondoles par-dessus les fumerolles actives d’Owakudani… mais le soir, on aimait être plus loin. Il faut être prêt à faire le voyage en train. Ce logement nous donnait notre havre de paix. Sans ça l’appartement est mignon, propre, très traditionnel. Je l’ai apprécié parce que j’ai des allergies asthmatiques. Je suis allergique aux oreillers de plume, au vieux tatamis et aux futons trop vieux. Ici, c’est hypoallergène et pour moi ça rend l’expérience encore plus superbe :) Je recommande chaudement.

2名で2泊しましたが、とても清潔で快適かつ機能的なお部屋でした。駐車場もわかりやすくコンビニが徒歩1分のところにあるのも何かと便利でした。自炊をしましたが、キッチンも狭いけれど必要なものは揃っていますし、洗濯機もあるし過ごしやすかったです。お風呂は小さいけれど、温泉で有名なエリアなので、お風呂は外で楽し無のがおすすめです。またユニットバスは小さいけれど、乾燥機としての機能が付いているため、今回雨でかなり洋服が濡れましたが、すぐに乾きました。寝室にも物干し竿が天井から吊るされているので、こちらも洗濯した後に干すのに重宝しました。二重窓になっており静かで暖かかったです。またベッドのしたにキャリーなど入れたりして、お部屋を広く使うことができ、比較的狭いお部屋ではありますが2名の大人で快適に過ごすことができました。ありがとうございました！

We had a pleasant stay at Ken’s unit. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the washing machine with dryer which so convenient. It’s within walking distance to Denis and 7-11, which made it easy to grab essentials. The only downside for us was the bed, which was a bit too soft for our preference. Overall, it’s a comfortable place with great amenities and location, definitely worth the price.

Hiroki was the host during our stay. The place really did match the description and actually exceeded our expectations. Hiroki was always a generous, friendly and helpful host while also sensitively respecting our privacy. And his English is perfect which also helped! He told us this had been his grandfather’s house. He still runs a super community cafe and gift shop adjoining the house. The garden is really lovely too. And the bikes! The house was perfect for our small family reunion in Japan. Chigasaki is a lovely town, off the international tourist map but with gorgeous coastline, surfing scene, Hawaii vibes!, views of Mount Fuji and fabulous restaurants and bars. Also very well connected by train and a great local bus which stops right outside the house. Day trips to Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo and Hakone. Also took a weekend to visit Kyoto by bullet train. All a perfect introduction for a first (or subsequent) visit to Japan.

Amazing place. The cleanest we ever stayed in. Every little detail was carefully thought of and integrated in the design. We are very grateful.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Hiroyuki and Akiko's place. The house was very relaxing and spacious. We were just 3 people, but it would be wonderful for large groups and is especially great for families with kids. It was very well-stocked with cooking supplies, toys, games, and everything you need for the beach. The location is ideal- about 10-15 min into town and a short walk to a beautiful beach. Akiko and Hiroyuki were very thoughtful hosts, sharing local recommendations and ideas for things to do. We took their suggestions and had a great time. We also visited their Yakiniku restaurant and had a delicious meal. We would love to stay with them again!

Beautiful home next to Lake Biwa. Its a refreshing break from the city and the neighbors are all very nice. The house was very clean and spacious, the host was always responsive and helpful, even gave me a ride when I left back to the train station so I didn't have to walk with all my luggage. Only downside would be the steep stairs, so if you have balance issues maybe sleep in the room downstairs. Overall very nice place and my 2 weeks went by too quickly here. Will definitely rebook next time I'm in Kyoto/Osaka area.

This place was absolutely amazing. Super spacious, comfortable, and just a short walk from the train station. The views were phenomenal, and taking the bike around the community was a highlight. Just be ready for a few hills (you’ll feel in shape after!). The beach is right in front of the property, and the night views are unreal. There are some awesome local food spots and cozy cafes nearby. The host and her family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their home is beautiful. I’m already looking forward to planning another trip here. I’d absolutely recommend staying if you get the chance.

The place is located on the hill with the amazing mountains and ocean view and prestine facilities just as shown in the photos. You can also ask Yukitoshi san for the private boat fishing. It was very relaxing and fun at the same time! You can bring the fish you've caught to their restaurant and they will cook them for you. That was quite a remarkable experience! I will definitely come back here again! The host is very responsive and kind as well. Strongly recommend to stay this place of you are looking for something slightly rural and Onsen(Hot spring) experiences!

お正月に、２泊滞在しました 大皿しかないと、書かれてましたが テーブルが大きいので、問題なかったです 土鍋とカセットコンロがあったので 聞けば良かったです(持参しました) 快適なお家なので、お勧めしたいです チェックアウトで急いでたので ロルフさんに、ご挨拶できずに 申し訳ございません お世話になりました ありがとうございます

这是一套非常非常好的房子，离车站不远走过来很方便。门口有一个小院子，可以在这里烧烤，种满了植物，非常好看。门口就是一条浅浅的河，河里有很多的鸭子，河直接流向大海，走到海边真的只要30秒。虽然这边不是非常有名的海边，沙滩不是很美丽，但是人很少，可以享受私人的海滩。可惜来的时候天有点冷，没有能下去游泳。 房子本身非常非常的宽敞，可以住五六个人，两个人来住真是有点浪费了。最喜欢卧室旁的移门，打开就是一条小河，还可以看到外面的树木，阳光，非常惬意。很后悔没有多住几天，好好享受伊豆这个小城。

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in der Villa Kamakura. Toshi ist wirklich der perfekte Gastgeber. Bereits vor Anreise wurden wir mit reichlich nützlichen Informationen versorgt, auch mit vielen Tipps zur Umgebung, selten haben wir so einen tollen Service erlebt. Und das Apartment selbst war auch einfach nur super und sehr gut gelegen. Es fehlte an nichts, man hatte einen tollen Ausblick, das Bett war sehr bequem. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :)

This place was great! Right next to the beach, nice views, and in a really cute, peaceful area. It’s close to a train station, so wasn’t hard to get our luggage to and the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again!
