Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in The Great Lakes

We had a wonderful stay at Sag Lodge. Jessica, the caretaker, was very responsive when we had any questions or concerns. The lake in front of the cabin is just stunning with a private dock for easy access. We were able to see so many loons during our stay out on the water. Wonderful canoes for use, the sauna was excellent, and the set up of the rooms and living room/big deck worked well for our group. One thing to be aware of, the lodge is next door to a public boat launch, so it is not as private as some homes on the water, but still plenty beautiful and serene. Overall, highly recommend this spot!

We loved our stay in stable 5! It was short but very clean and comfortable. We loved the peaceful location away from the city and people!

Shell’s lodge is the perfect spot to unwind after a lovely day at Pine Creek Gorge. Can’t wait to come back and visit her other options. She’s so sweet and a lovely, thoughtful hostess.

Cozy space and large community space for eating. Lovely even in the wintertime. The room stayed warm all night and the bathroom was spacious. We loved our girl's night at the cabin and talked about booking again for the summer/autumn in a larger cabin. Worth the drive from Grand Marais!

Carole was very accommodating allowing us to check in early, place looked as it did in pictures. Would recommend to friends and would gladly stay again.

Staying at Cedarhaus was a unique experience! Daryl and Louisa have thought of every detail to make their guests comfortable. The communal living and kitchen area is lovely and functional. A variety of quality, fresh, nutritious and delicious breakfast foods were there to choose from and prepare. Other personalized touches are everywhere, including the quality linens and beautiful decor of the private bedroom area. We spent the beginning and end of our days on the dock by the lovely little lake, which could also be explored using the boating options provided, as well as swimming, or just gazing out at the lake, cliffs and tress. I do hope to stay a Cedarhaus again!

Had a great stay! The hot tub was amazing and always ready to use. The place was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this lovely cabin for a wedding in Munising which was a short drive. The cabin is peaceful and quiet with very comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. We were very grateful to bring our dogs along as they are part of the family! We took the paddleboard and kayak out in the afternoon and then had S’mores by the fire. Another couple was staying on the other unit adjacent but we never would have known there were people there, there is no noise transference. Our family discovered the beauty of the UP and plan to return for more hikes and we certainly would like to stay in this cabin again!

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay in the snowy cabin, located 20 minutes from Blue Mountain. No rush to check in or out, and the space was very clean and tidy. Esther and Mamo were very friendly and helpful, and their dog Bella was cute and friendly. The space is decorated beautifully and has a very welcoming vibe. Would reccomend!!!

Our cabin was on the smaller size but big enough for 4 adult men. Would be an excellent location for family with kids, lots of activities and beach area to play. Amanda was very responsive and recommended local attractions.

Rough Cut Lodge was the perfect place for what we needed. A peaceful New Year’s Eve creekside. Everything was spotless and the instructions sent by the owners were easy to follow. I especially loved the guestbook that was provided by the hosts which included a short history of the property owners, a channel guide for the TV and local recommendations. We will certainly be back!

This place is amazing! If you like relax and be away from the city this place is for you. If you like arts You be amaizt here and next door is gallery of the lake. Thanks for Havig us in your place.

Good quality and price accomodation. Its an historical christian building in a small town, good for night stop in a quiet environment. They also run a small coffee shop with delicious banana muffins!

Stayed in one of the smallest rooms available for 3 nights with my fiancé and 70lb dog and am very satisfied! Arrived quite late in the dark and was easy to find if you’re good with directions. We were also already familiar with the area. Hot water in showers takes a few minutes but once it gets hot it gets HOT! Shared bathrooms are very clean with extra TP/ room spray. Breakfast bar is limited in morning and leans you more towards buying things at cafe, which has baked goods as well as breakfast items and specialty coffee drinks. Cafe is open to locals and can get busy sometimes! Only two bars right in Garden to get ready made food; Shell has a cool market with a grocery and meat shop inside that’s worth checking out. Otherwise plan on driving a little bit to get food drinks etc. Not much cell service in town, our Verizon phones were SOS most of the time which we LOVE. Decent amount of trails in woods to go for a hike with the dog too, just keep an eye out for wildlife!

I really enjoyed staying here. The location - across the street from a beautiful public beach - was excellent. I loved long point and would love to go back. Great Airbnb host. I would love to book the same cabin again. Super cute.
