Lake house holiday rentals in Taylorsville Lake

It was perfect for our group of 9 - very spacious and fun. Nicer than any of us expected from the photos. We were in town for a wedding and this was so much better than staying at a hotel! Amanda was quick to respond to questions and even notified us about incoming storms so we would be ready. Overall an excellent experience and I do recommend it if you are in the area.

We stayed a week to due tours on the Bourbon trail. The house was in a quiet area right next to a lake with a private dock. It was wonderful. My husband got an out of state fishing license and fished when the evenings were nice. Our pup-kids enjoyed their stay as well. Wi-fi worked well. Big TV with recliners were great after a long day of bourbon tours and tastings. Highly recommend!

Great View!! We enjoyed the historic aspect of the home and neighborhood. There are lots of things to do within walking distance and the locals were incredibly friendly.

The location is superb is you are trying to see Kentucky. The distance to Louisville, Lexington and Frankfort are all about equal. Shelbyville is a few miles away and it has some great restaurants and nice shopping. While staying there we visited Churchill Downs, Buffalo Trace and Shelbyville. The house has kayaks and a little fishing equipment. We spend a lot of time on the decks and fishing on the dock. This was a great, peaceful getaway from life at home.

We enjoyed our stay at Mom’s House. Terri and Charlotte were great to communicate with before and during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, deck, and walking around the property. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast options were a nice treat! They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and to share the story of their childhood home and we appreciated that. Thank you!

Great place for us to relax and enjoy spending time with our adult children and new grand daughter. My first visit to Kentucky from Oregon! Such a beautiful area! We will definitely be visiting often.

We had a great stay here with Carol! Our previous air bnb cancelled on us last minute but it ended up being a blessing in disguise! This house is very nice and the communication was wonderful!

What a wonderful farm cottage! Anna was very helpful getting us set up in a relaxing, peaceful place. After our first night, she checked in to make sure everything was going well and suggested activities we could do. Would highly recommend

What an amazing place to stay! The scenery was breathtaking, the owners kind, and it was so peaceful. My 16 yr old got to pet horses and talk to cows, and my 5 yr old flew a kite and had plenty of space to run around. I definitely recommend staying here for any getaway and some fresh air!

Great house for my friends and I. Fishing was a blast. House was very clean and a great space to hangout for the weekend. Kayaks and pool table were frequently used. Plenty of space for 10 guests and the kitchen was incredible. Definitely want to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was unique in that it offers a main house and a guest house, and it turned out that this was the perfect arrangement for us (2 moms who are close friends, and our two sons, who are also close friends). When we weren't out and about, we all hung out in the A-frame main house. At bedtime, we parted ways.The A-frame has everything you might need during your stay. Then you also have the boathouse, which is beyond cute and very cozy. Both structures overlook the lake, and the outdoor deck spaces are very comfortable and inviting. I especially appreciated the propane fire pit one evening when it got a little chilly. Also, having a Keurig and pods in each house was awesome! Shelly sent detailed directions in advance of our travels, which was very helpful, and she made some local recommendations re: food and groceries. We followed up on those, and were not disappointed! She was also very responsive to us when we asked for assistance or recommendations. <3

Exactly what we were looking for to get off the beaten trail but still near enough to Lexington and distilleries. A nice place to come back to at the end of each night and relax. Nice to have the water to hang out near and even though we didn’t use the kayaks because it was a little rainy while we were there, it’s nice that they have that as an option. We loved hanging out on the back deck as it’s covered and kept us out of the rain. Would definitely stay again!

The home was really nice! It accommodated our needs very well with just the right sleeping arrangements and the fact that it was right in the same cul-de-sac as several others in our big group was a big plus!! Our only regret was not being able to use the lake due to recent flooding, but we hope to go back and try again. Lovely place!

We had the best time with family and friends on our vacation. Own private access to the water with access to anything we need while enjoying the water. The home was nice as well, & equipped with everything just as if we were at home. 10/10 recommend !!

This place EXCEEDED our expectations! The pictures don’t do it justice. Ryan is an amazing and attentive host. When we had issues with the wi-fi, he was there at a moment’s notice to remediate the issue. Our friends arrived and were wowed at the accommodations! If you’re looking for a quiet, meditative environment—you will love it here!

This is our second stay at Progress Park. This time staying in the Lake house, the peacefulness and view as you drink your coffee is amazing. The owners are wonderful and so caring. You can tell they care about your experience and want you to have beautiful memories. The house has everything you need. Our group had two houses there and cooked for 15 people every meal, the Lake House kitchen had everything you needed. The shower is amazing. Plenty of space for people to spread out. The beds were sooooo comfortable. WiFi worked great. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Kevin was a great host. He responded very timely to any correspondence and was very helpful with recommendations on restaurants and things to do while in Louisville. The house was beautiful and we felt right at home.

The house was nice and had everything we needed. Our group was 3 couples and this was a perfect amount of space to hang for the evening.

We love staying at Edgewater Resort, have been coming every summer for several years. Cottage 53 is very nice, clean and comfortable. Our family enjoyed staying there.
