Holiday rentals with lake access in Tavares

We really enjoyed this place over Memorial Day weekend 2025. Offered easy access for our boat, perfect size for our family of 4! The host was very responsive and accommodating! Would definitely rent this place again.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded getaway that’s close to multiple natural springs—but just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Orlando—this is the place for you! Jose’s place truly checks all the boxes. The sunset views from the hot tub overlooking Crystal Lake are absolutely breathtaking. Having kayaks right on site made it so easy to get out on the water and completely disconnect for a while. If you’re curious about what “Orlando North” has to offer, I highly recommend booking a stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time at the Mermaid Cottage. Steve, Amy and their son were wonderful hosts. Steve was so easy to communicate with and immediately solved any issues that we had. We were very happy with the inside of the lovely cottage and totally enjoyed the front porch and beautiful backyard. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood especially to downtown Mt. Dora. The neighbors were extremely friendly and we got to know many of them. We highly recommend the Mermaid Cottage. Thank you Steve&Amy for a lovely vacation. Karen&Doug

Beautiful and cozy. Felt at home in every way! Loved all the separate areas for sitting and relaxing.

We stayed at Peter's place with our 15 year old and 1 year old dog. It was a great time for all of us! We used the boat and kayaks and enjoyed the screened porch in the evenings. Our pup loved exploring the entire property. Definitely recommend for a dog trip!

This was an amazing home, it honestly was my pinterest board come to life and felt like I was living in my dream home for a few days. Everything was pretty clean, this place is great for families or group trips - we stayed here for our wedding weekend with bridal and groom party. We enjoyed the area and even took the bikes for a ride by the lake which was really nice, perfect place if you just want to relax and if you want to go out nearby it’s only 15 to 20 minutes away to the nearest town center. Kylie was an amazing host, she was very responsive and we all enjoyed our stay.

Everything was just how it was described. We had a small issue with plumbing when we arrived, but Steven was very responsive and it was addressed immediately! This is a great property and awesome place to stay if you are going to be fishing the Chain of Lakes. The covered dock at the end of a canal is perfect and has electrical hookup right there to charge your boat. Definitely would stay here again. Hopefully it's available next year for our annual fishing trip!

Nice place for our family vacation. Fishing in canal for my Son & middle gson. Pool was perfect for 9yr old gson. Full size bed in kids room fit 15yo gson just right. Centrally located to Daytona, all springs in Ocala Natl forest. Ramshackle, Little Lake Harris Hideaway, Ski Beach restaurants are favorites and hanging out in Main St stores, ice cream shop etc were great. Of course, Leesburg is my hometown, so we really couldn't go wrong! Thanks for everything!

We’ve been here twice and are already looking forward to a third time, whether that be here or at their latest next door option!

Great place to stay!! We stayed here and went to universal and it is so close to the property!!!! A little less than 10 minutes drive and didn’t have to pay an outrageous price! When we come back we definitely plan on staying here!

Very nice historical home to stay in. Felt like I was stepping back into time in a very comfortable setting. It’s very close and convenient to all the happenings down in Mt Dora and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend staying at Peter and Lisa’s home.

I hate to leave such a great review because I love this place and want it all to myself 😁 All joking aside this is one of my favorite places to stay in Clermont. Stocked with everything needed, great location, quiet. Cant wait to come back

This place was clean, surprisingly spacious and perfect for our family of 5. Really close to the parks, and the community of legacy dunes was really nice. Getting in and out of the gate was a breeze. We would totally stay here again.

We loved staying here almost a week while visiting relatives in the area. Great, family-friendly place and we made use of the swimming area (very clear water for a lake), paddleboards, and kayaks--our kids loved it! House was clean and everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the back screened porch too--looking over the beautiful lake, and very private. Heather was communicative and friendly--we'd love to come back next time we're in the area!

This was a last minute trip and I was so grateful for the opportunity to stay there! I would book again!

This place was spectacular. Sometimes with an air b and b experience, you hope the place is as pleasant as the pictures. This was such a wonderful surprise. Immediately it felt cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature, wood and botanical details everywhere. But it surpassed that - Every detail of this place had been touched with diligent character, you immediately recognized the owners of this place genuinely cared down to the last morsel of decorations, plates, games and books. Nothing was forgotten. I HIGHLY recommend paying for the extra amenities which made our stay incredible; we booked an extra day just to relax and absorb the relaxation. It was one of the best parts of my trip to Orlando. I cannot speak highly enough about this place, I feel like we’ve found a rare gem in the business of air b and b’s. I cannot wait to book our next stay. This place made you fall in love with Orlando and treating yourself to a hidden oasis away from the modern rat race. INCREDIBLE!

I had a wonderful stay here with my boyfriend. It’s a bit secluded which I saw some people complain about in reviews but what they fail to mention is that the hosts’ house is is around 200 feet away and there’s a second airbnb directly next to this one. It’s along a dirt road, yes, but there are still other people in the area. The lake and land are beautiful and there are some chairs and a table on the porch of the cottage where you can sit and enjoy the sunrise. Check in was easy, quick, and required no face-to-face social interaction (something I enjoy not needing to do). The AC works well and is quick to respond to your inputs. The bed is comfortable and there is a very roomy closet that you can keep your luggage in. You can walk straight to the watersports complex right out the door of the cottage. This stay was extremely affordable and I am so lucky that I found it and was able to snag a few nights! I enjoyed my stay so much, and so did my boyfriend. Highly recommend!

Isabel’s Historical Cottage was a great stay for us. She left all sort of welcoming niceties around and made us feel right at home.

I have stayed with Ellie three different times now. I am born and raised Orlando, all my family is still here, but whenever I come back to visit I require a stay with Ellie. It is the perfect in between of being back home and still on vacation. She takes care of me SO well. The listing property and the grounds about are tended to in a way that makes you feel valued and honored. I never feel like I wasted money, on the contrary- staying with her saves me because I know she will take care of any needs that arise, not that many ever do. Always amazing conversation, joyous energy, and a lot of beautiful insight into Orlando that even I don’t know about! I genuinely could not rave enough about Ellie and her Hideaway. Thank you, Ellie, for being an AirBNB angel!

We loved our stay! The home and grounds were lovely. We were visiting our little grandson (who lives 2 miles away) so it was a perfect location. We had a wonderful family lunch on Saturday - the kitchen was perfectly equipped and everyone enjoyed the outdoors tremendously. Thank you also for welcoming our dog. I was so surprised at how much he loved chilling in the dog bed! We look forward to returning many times.

Fare Mananui is truly magical. The investment of love into a tropical oasis literally rivals two of its biggest inspirations--Trader Sam's and the Enchanted Tiki Room. We loved the ease of the smart home commands to make the house come alive each night. Gil was super clear and helpful before and during the trip w/providing relevant info. We really loved hanging on the lanai each day with Chiquita the kitty! The location is also awesome--right off 168 so close to everything, but also very quiet and serene at night. Protip--don't go grocery shopping until after you see the home because there's a very generous supply of coffee, mixers, and other conveniences. The one thing that I wish was different was the pool hours; it was only open until 7. It’s a place that must be seen to be believed, and I am excited to return one day!
