Spacious, bright and cozy

We had a great stay at Richard's place. It was very easy to find and just across the road from the shuttle for the Alpine Crossing. The house is immaculate and just like the pictures. it warms up very quickly and there is lots of firewood. The kitchen was really nice, lots of cookware. The beds were really comfy too. The hot tub spa was wonderful after a long wet walk!Richard went the extra mile helping us retrieve a forgotten item. Just sorry we couldn't stay longer!

The place was great, good space for me, my partner and 2 kids was good with the heat pump and the water pressure of the showers were really good. Was really convenient as you are really close to the township would definitely recommend to others….

It’s was a nice stay

This home is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible. The design and comfort are top notch. We enjoyed the walking track and found everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Loved the attention to detail—down to the custom-labeled light switch icons. We hope to visit again soon.

Was the perfect location for us to explore the area, including the forgotten highway. We were impressed how good the heating options were, x2 efficient heat pumps and great log burner, with heat transfer into the bedrooms, plenty of wood available. It was easy to feel at home as lots of personal touches throughout. We were a multi-generational family of 6 but could imagine x2 families would work well with the space. We self catered and kitchen was well set up to do this.

Private, warm apartment at the Powderhorn end of town. We were inside for the majority of our two nights in Ohakune due to the weather but we were so comfortable and made use of the fully equipped kitchen. Thanks Dion for your great communication. We would stay again.

Lovely location overlooking Lake Taupo and into the sunset. Spacious deck to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Helpful responsive host. Very clean and well equipped living areas. Lovely Millennium Hotel restaurant right across the street. Great location for a relaxing break.

Extremely well equipped, cosy & easy to live in. The spa pool is very private and the location is great for walking to either of the Ohakune hubs.

What a fantastic place! Very well set up with everything you need for a short or long stay. So comfortable and homey. We were just one couple but it also would be super for a large family group. It can sleep a lot of people comfortably and the communal space is large, like what you would find in a lodge. Great location. We walked up from the train and were able to walk to dinner and to some nice trails.

Loved my stay, left in the morning, returned at night, had awesome sleeps, comfortable and warm. Ngā mihi!

Very clean and tidy place and loved all of the little extras, made us feel like Liz had gone to a lot of effort to include useful extras. Kitchen and bathrooms were kept very tidy and the rooms were very spacious. Would 100% stay here again.

Absolutely blown away. Loved having the lake on our doorstep with an indoor spa to hop between. Hosts were excellent communicators and so welcoming! Our stay exceeded our expectations and we will most certainly be back!

We stayed at Centennial house for a 40th Birthday Family celebration and I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! There is so much space with beautiful bedroom suites and outdoor areas. A lovely outdoor patio where the kids enjoyed playing and riding their bikes and finding the friendly sheep and cow. The house was immaculately clean, the kitchen is fabulous with heaps of space and all the cooking equipment you could ever need available. Plenty of dining table space, with a covered outdoor conservatory with a gas heater which we enjoyed a family dinner at one night. John and Caroline are incredible hosts, very responsive with messages both prior to and during our stay. John also smoked a trout for us on arrival which was delicious! We all had a lovely stay and cannot thank John and Caroline enough for making the weekend so stress-free.

The most beautiful home. Space, style fully and equipped beyond many places I’ve stayed. Stunning, absolutely stunning location, you would never tire of the view. Hope to come again.
