Holiday rentals with a sauna in Sveitarfélagið Ölfus

Bryna's place was just what we were looking for! Very nice location, beds were great. plenty of room, and wonderfully decorated. We will definitely book again.

Had a quick 2 night stay and this was a perfect location. Minutes from the airport, restaurants and grocery. House had thoughtful items that made the trip easier (lots of charging converters, gaming for the kids, etc). Great stay.

The place was super nice and clean. Not too far from the center, but again not nearby as well. Overall a great place to stay with all the amenities in top condition. Good communication and a place recommended for staying

Beautiful apartment, very clean, with a large window from which, if you are lucky, you can see the Northern Lights. Thelma is a great host, she responds quickly, and cares about giving a lot of useful information. He also warned us about the possibility of seeing the aurora from home!

a great place. it's right by a diversity square in the city center which is exactly what we were looking for. Decent sound proofing from the street so we weren't disturbed much. jacuzzi takes a ling time to fill but that's fine, we went to the pub across the road for a drink whilst we waited. Great communication and no complaints

Our stay at this Heathland Lodge was, without a shadow of a doubt, an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of privacy and serenity that is truly rare. The lodge itself is a masterpiece of wonderful Scandinavian minimalist design, where every detail, every texture, and every carefully chosen furnishing whispers (no, screams!) understated luxury. It's clear that immense thought and care have gone into creating a space that is not just beautiful to behold, but incredibly comfortable and restorative to inhabit. This was a wonderful stay. We appreciated experiencing staying on an Icelandic farm including the opportunity to walk around and observe the farm's animals. The host was very responsive and the freshly picked flowers as a welcome was lovely. I highly recommend you stay here.

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

Wonderful experience! Easy check in and out. Very friendly host. Beautiful and cozy property. Close to many activities and city center.

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. We loved this Airbnb. It was perfect for our group and even left us with extra space to lounge in. Our host was amazingly responsive and helped us locate everything from luggage storage to the best transportation to our lava show. We loved the sauna, although we found the stairs down to be a bit treacherous. Everything was clean and the beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Iceland has become a repeat destination for us over the last few years and we would definitely stay here again. We suggest you try Reykjavik's Chips one night. The best restaurant and it's right around the corner.
