Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Suomussalmi

Very nice cottage for a ski holiday and a top ski resort. We could fit (5 people) very comfortably in three bedrooms and the seating area and kitchen were big enough, as was the bathroom and sauna. The drying cabinet made it a lot easier to get outdoors. 2 toilets were really nice, as was the video viewing nook. The kitchen was really well stocked with dishes and everything you need, like a good selection of spices. It was a good thing because we cooked a lot, the restaurants in Syöte were the pizza burger department, except for the restaurants of both hotels (really good!). The semi-detached house is the last one on the street, and since the neighbor of House B wasn't there, we were really alone. The trails immediately left the backyard, and you could get to the ski track in a few minutes. The ski resort was a few minutes drive away, and I walk very accessible when there were no boots on. Very nice place! A couple of minus: the house wasn't completely clean, but it was expected when guests clean themselves, and recycling wasn't possible.

A spacious single-family home in a beautiful location on a hillside of danger on the edge of a farmhouse. A secluded location with a very peaceful place to stay. Very kind and responsive host. I'd love to stay in the same place again.

Spacious, cozy, well-equipped place by the lake. Another cabin pretty close and not too much of a sight in between. Overall a positive experience!

The house is exceptional, beautiful and right on the lake. The decor is natural, modern and with lots of wood; we felt very comfortable from the first moment. Note the very secluded location; the nearest shopping (supermarket) is about a 15-minute drive away. But with appropriate planning, that's no problem either. We enjoyed the quiet idyllic location very much.

What a wonderful property to stay at. There was everything you could need and more besides. We felt at home the second we went through the door. It was easy to find, great instructions and the sauna was great. We choose the property as it was about half an hours drive away from a bear watching site, however, would highly recommend staying here for the peace and quiet. We had bought food in Kajaani at a very large supermarket, however, there are smaller supermarkets in Kuhmo. The property has a very large fridge and freezer so no problem with storage. Should we ever decide to return to the area, we would certainly stay here again.

Friendly welcome. An apartment in an old stone apartment building, minimal furniture, but a good bed was important. The hostess kindly arranged an electric spot for the car, thank you very much.

Very nice, the accommodation had a "luxurious" feeling close to the slopes, beautiful surroundings, lovely view. Extra plus for the steam room after a day on the slopes. Sanna responded quickly if there was anything, very nice treatment, happy to come back!

Very nice and peaceful place. Communication with hosts went smoothly. Recommended. The circulating air cook has not been cleaned from an earlier guest, but it was overcome when we washed it ourselves before using it.

The villa swamp is a stunning, museum-like haven of peace and nature. Hunting land can be found nearby and you can really enjoy your vacation in peace. Carrying water and no-electricity is suitable for this place. Alex is great hosts and ready to help if needed. Everything went just as planned.

We were on a family vacation together with four children and we camped in this amazing cottage. We can really recommend this place to other families with children! Wonderfully cozy and homely cottage in a quiet location. There are a lot of common activities in the cottage, e.g. various games. The sauna got a good steam!

It's a great hideaway. It's really practically designed, and the waterlessness and wood-burning just the right amount of work for the day, without being strenuous or inconvenient. We were there in clear weather, and the sunsets and starry sky were magical thanks to the space of the location, but I'm sure the weather is like the weather there is magical to follow.

It was a beautiful stay for our Finland trip. Definitely big plus points for the nice open kitchen and fireplace, everything was there to cook in the evening and enjoy a nice movie. The sauna space is also very comfortable. Another nice feature was the carport and small shed with tools for bikes and ski stuff, all you need for a little adventure in the North. We would highly recommend this place :) The only minor critique is that you are quite close to other houses and lack some privacy.

The house is very new and corresponds to the pictures. We felt right at home! If you like peace and seclusion ( for people from the city ), this is the place to be. The extra charge for the hot tub is worth it.

The cabin sits on a rarely busy road in the secluded forest, next to a lake. The amenities are basic, but just what you're looking for and expecting in such a place. Everything was perfectly clean! You make a fire to warm the cabin, there was enough wood; there is also electricity. We had a lot of fun to melt snow daily to have water for the sauna and for the kitchen:) (you bring your own drinking water). There is also everything else you need to shovel freely in the meter-high snow, incl. Rubber boots. The kitchen is super well equipped and we lacked nothing. The place was extremely quiet - a great experience to hear nothing outside at night, except your own sound in your ear. Niko was always quick and helpful to respond to our questions! All in all we had a simple life, very enough away from any human hustle and bustle. We would have liked to have stayed longer and would totally like to take a break again at some point!

A chalet by the water is magical. In the middle of nature, without any noise, the view of the lake brought zenitude. Short chalet to recommend to all lovers of nature and tranquility
