Johnnycake Flats Inn was the perfect New England getaway! Debra and her husband Jim are wonderful people and the best hosts. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast that kept us fueled for the day. Jim is great at offering up places to visit and mapping everything out for easy navigating. If you are looking for a peaceful, homey place to stay, with fantastic hosts, look no further!

Mountain Meadow View describes the serene beauty that surrounds this lovely home perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, & Walter is so welcoming. On discovering it was my birthday he suggested an impromptu celebration soon after our arrival. We celebrated by overlooking the meadow at the ‘Camels Hump’ (top of the mountain) with nibbles, drinks, and laughter. He has a great sense of humour and volumes of local knowledge of things to see, what is going on & where to eat. He recommended a local restaurant that turned out to serve some of the best tuck we had during our road trip. But it did not compare to the breakfast we shared with the other guests. He offered a choice for breakfast, checking first if anyone had allergies. A choice of frittata which was scrumptious or orange French toast which was equally sublime. We choose both! Everyone was sharing stories, life experiences, & travel advice over breakfast. Honestly, staying at Mountain Meadow View was one of the high points our trip!

Issy was so welcoming and friendly. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean with plenty of room to spread out. I felt entirely at home! Highly recommend!

Zelia's place was better than expected. We were so lucky there was availability! Do not hesitate to book. Absolutely recommend.

We had a great time with Pauline and Jacques. The area was just as convenient as we had hoped for a ski weekend at Jay Peak. We wanted to get on the road early and breakfast was prepared for us at 7:30 am. We happily left with a jug of maple syrup and look forward to staying there again!

We had a great experience with Kim & Phil! The location made it easy to get around- there’s a bus right outside taking us to the mountain. Kim & Phil are warm hosts and Phil even cooked us breakfast every day and helped shovel our car out during a snow storm! Highly recommend staying here!

Great location on Rt 7 made it easy to get around. Cottage room was good sized for three people and my daughter's pet bunny. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We had a great stay and will do it again.

We loved everything about this place. The setting with beautiful view. House was so cool and interesting filled with thousands of conversation pieces. Room was excellent and clean. Trails along the granite quarry were really cool. The continental breakfast was amazing and we got to meet the other guests who were great. We have traveled the world, and this little side trip to Barre was one of our most memorable experiences. If you want to experience Vermont, this is Vermont. Go to the Granite Museum in town and the cemetery.

We had a great stay at Hearthwood! Blissfully quiet and clean. Definitely one of my top Airbnb experiences! Lara is a fantastic host. She puts a lot of care and love into her b&b. It is easy to see why so many folks are repeat guests! The room was super relaxing and comfortable, we slept very well, and on top of all of this, we met some wonderful people in the shared space! We hope to be back again!

Originally I had been a bit hesitant to book something a 20 minute drive from downtown Burlington, but this could not have been a better spot! It was peaceful and quiet, yet still had great things a very short drive away. Fiddlehead & Folino's pizza made a great late dinner on arrival day. Shelburne Farms was such a treat to explore. Burlington wasn't too far of a drive, and we were close to hiking. We hiked both Mt. Philo and Camel's Hump! Lara was great at communicating and had excellent suggestions. The room and bathroom were both big and clean. The place was quiet despite being busy on Memorial Day weekend- the sound insulation is good! The kitchen was really nice to have and DIY breakfast was good: eggs, OJ, milk, toast, etc. I would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

This was our second stay. We love the location and peaceful surroundings! Lara is a very responsive host, and the accommodations are perfect. We always feel welcome and right at home. Short drive to downtown Burlington and UVM. Even though our child graduated from UVM we hope to be back to just spend time in the area.

Had an amazing stay in the forest room! Gorgeous view of the backyard from the window in our room. The host and her mother were excellent communicators and very helpful with any questions we had. Hope to stay here again!

It's like going to Pop-pop & Granny's house. The sign out front says, "grandchildren spoiled here," and when we saw the breakfast spread, we knew what they are talking about. It was so generous and delicious, we usually ate our leftovers for lunch. This delightful, warm couple, was eager for a chat and to give local recommendations. It's a cozy home, with many beautiful handmade quilts, a pretty view of the hills, and fresh maple syrup made on site. Very reasonably priced, and only a 15min drive to Jay Peak. Support agri-tourism.

Great stay at the Timberholm. We stayed for one night and it was great - close to Stowe Mt and really close to a number of restaurants and bars in the area. It was very comfortable, matched the descriptions and breakfast was very good as others have stated. We would gladly return.

My friends and I had a weekend trip to Stowe so we booked this room for our stay. The self-checkin is super easy, finding the envelope with your name on it and unlocking the door, that is it, super smooth. We booked the suite, the room is not that super large but well enough for a short stay! The room is well organized and the bathroom is clean! The breakfast buffet is tasty to make me energetic for the mountain. The driving towards Stowe is only 12 minutes, so that we do not need to get up super early for our trip. A minor concern is that the parking lot is relatively small, when we arrived at 8pm, all the spots were taken and we had to park our vehicle close to the entry of the building. But no a big issue I think. I would recommend this lovely space!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The place was spotless, and the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were incredibly hospitable and quick to respond to any questions we had. It truly felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay here again – highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Heaven on earth! Our stay was everything we could have dreamed of, as we looked for a romantic getaway. The room was pristine and homey, and we had a full spa experience in the decadent bathroom. Leanne is a formidable chef, and handled our food restrictions with grace. The breakfast was Michelin-star-worthy! And Leanne & David took such good care of us: gave us plenty of privacy but were perfectly available whenever we had a question. They pointed us to great hiking and an excellent bakery. I only wish our stay had been longer. We will definitely return. 10/10 recommend. If you want a luxury getaway, an escape into beauty & elegance, and the comforts of home - this is the place! LOVED our stay!!

Very cosy and convenient stay in the heart of town, clean and friendly!

This was our second time staying at Leanne’s! We came two years ago and have not stopped talking about it since. When we got married we knew we had to come back to celebrate! Leanne’s cooking is impeccable, creative and delicious. The house is beautiful and she really makes you feel at home. She provides the best recommendations for restaurants, breweries and activities in the area. It is an absolute pleasure to stay and we can’t wait to be back!

Words cannot describe what an amazing experience we had at the Yellow Farmhouse B&B. Leanne and David are the ultimate hosts. From start to finish everything exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and given a tour of the property. The space was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Our bedroom and bathroom were not only spotless and gorgeous, but very comfortable. The location was perfect and our hosts went out of their way to give us recommendations and directions for nearby exploring and dining. We were fortunate enough to experience the fall colors and enjoyed exploring Stowe, Queechy and North Hero. Our 2 breakfasts were among the best we have ever had, Leanne and David go above and beyond with delicious food that is presented in a very special manner. Overall, our experience was nothing short of incredible. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Thank you for such a memorable stay-we will definitely be back!

We were welcomed by our charming host. Kimmie is fun to talk to. The old house has a lot of charm in a lovely neighborhood. We took many walks to enjoy the town. Loved the cheese and bacon puffs for breakfast. Thanks, Kimmie
