Johnnycake Flats Inn was the perfect New England getaway! Debra and her husband Jim are wonderful people and the best hosts. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast that kept us fueled for the day. Jim is great at offering up places to visit and mapping everything out for easy navigating. If you are looking for a peaceful, homey place to stay, with fantastic hosts, look no further!

Issy was so welcoming and friendly. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean with plenty of room to spread out. I felt entirely at home! Highly recommend!

5 of us stayed at David's place for our family ski vacation and all of us loved the location and the house. the house was as described and has so many linens and amenities. it's 30 minutes to Stratton Ski Report and 5 minutes to downtown Manchester where you can find anything, including Shaws supermarket. It's a great location and house and we are looking forward to come back to this place next year for our family vacation. Thanks

This is a wonderful Airbnb in an absolutely exceptional location on Lake Champlain and just a short bike ride from the Island Line Rail Trail. Karyl and Bob are wonderful hosts, very helpful and responsive but not intrusive. The whole experience was terrific. Thanks again Karyl and Bob!

We loved our stay at Eileen's! Eileen and her husband and wonderful warm people. The home is beautiful, decorations lovely, and the aesthetic was great! The home has a lot of history which added to the stay! Eileen even cooked us a delicious breakfast, served on beautiful china. She gave us recommendations for things to do around Bellow Falls and hikes around the area which we really appreciated! Would definitely recommend staying here and we're planning to visit again ourselves!

I travel for work and typically have to spend time in Rutland a few times each year. Normally I stay closer to town, but decided to try Susan's based on the listing. It is in an old house surrounded by farmland. Very much a typical B&B, Susan greeted me when I arrived, and showed me the space. She was welcoming and the place was cozy. It would be a good spot to stay if I had more time to visit.

I will look up Julia when I return in the fall. She and her place more than met my expectations! The room was comfortable and quiet, the bathroom clean, private and well- appointed. I liked how close it was to highway 7, and to a beautiful drive up to Ripton and the Green Mountains, with easy pulloffs along the way. Julie was available, helpful and friendly.

Cozy rustic room with comfortable bed after a day of skiing! We initially were disappointed by the bare bones furnishing and the large gaps between their wood floorboards. However, the delicious breakfast, helpful hosts, and beautiful location won us over.

Sarah is a great host. She even offered to pick us up in case our vehicle couldn't handle the snow. The house is beautiful. We'll be back

Absolutely perfect and amazingly accommodating. The mansion was actually closed on Thursday as they were preparing for a large event for the weekend but still found a beautiful, private place for me to stay for the couple nights I needed. Diane met me at the door, showed me around the property, and gave me recommendations for local food. She offered her cell number and the promise to help with anything I needed. The grounds are beautiful and located next to a park with walking paths. The room was perfect for what I needed; shower, kitchenette, and really comfortable bed. I will stay again anytime I’m in the area. My since thanks to Diane, Andy, and the beautiful, old New England inn.

Caitlin and her husband, Peter, are caring, considerate hosts. They made me feel welcome in their beautifully appointed, light-filled home. They were open and friendly, interested in finding out who I was, while being respectful of my privacy. When I explained I didn't like to eat first thing in the morning, they went out of their way to prepare a yummy, healthy "to-go" breakfast I could take with me to the program I was attending. Caitlin even loaned me her favorite travel coffee mug for my tea. I was able to spend my final morning having breakfast with them and they prepared a delightful meal, replete with fresh fruits and flowers from their garden. We sat outside amongst the beautiful plantings and each shared with me a precious piece of their own life story as well as how they met. That's how I discovered what wonderful people they are. I would return there in a heartbeat. Staying at the Sanctuary provided a welcome contrast from the intensity of the program I was attending.

I would definitely stay at Phineas Swann Inn & Spa again! The bed was super comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the property and spa were wonderful. Just a short ride to Jay Peak, too!

If you're looking for an experience that's more like the original Bed & Breakfast than the current version, this is it. We felt so welcomed by Elizabeth and really enjoyed our conversation with her over breakfast which was included in our stay. Our room was bright, clean and the beds ultra comfy. We look forward to a return visit!

Mountain Meadow View describes the serene beauty that surrounds this lovely home perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, & Walter is so welcoming. On discovering it was my birthday he suggested an impromptu celebration soon after our arrival. We celebrated by overlooking the meadow at the ‘Camels Hump’ (top of the mountain) with nibbles, drinks, and laughter. He has a great sense of humour and volumes of local knowledge of things to see, what is going on & where to eat. He recommended a local restaurant that turned out to serve some of the best tuck we had during our road trip. But it did not compare to the breakfast we shared with the other guests. He offered a choice for breakfast, checking first if anyone had allergies. A choice of frittata which was scrumptious or orange French toast which was equally sublime. We choose both! Everyone was sharing stories, life experiences, & travel advice over breakfast. Honestly, staying at Mountain Meadow View was one of the high points our trip!

Hidden gem! Sallie hosted us and was super accommodating. The property was warm and inviting. We will stay here again

If you haven't found a reason to visit Vermont, you have one now. It's hard to describe the experience in words and do it justice. The grounds, the home, the hosts - all truly remarkable. Buts it's the breakfasts that were on another level entirely. You don't have to be a foodie to appreciate them - we certainly aren't. We'll be back. Glenn and Sonya Camp

What a lovely and beautiful location amongst the woods... perfect living space, a wonderful kitchen with everything we could want or need. Sharon is the consummate host. We absolutely love being there and our 2 dogs do too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

We had a wonderful stay at John and Kathy’s farmhouse! Great location for a peaceful retreat and close to several mountains for skiing. John’s breakfast was a fantastic start to each day. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding things to do in the area. We hope to be back again!

Great stay in the barn at Wise Pines! Chelsea gave super clear instructions and the welcome guide was very helpful! We had a private room which was cozy (especially with the provided space heater) and clean. We appreciated the white noise machine since our room was right next to the shared bathrooms and kitchenette. Overall great place to stay and I'd love to come back and stay for longer!

I recently spent 3 snowy, quintessentially Vermont days at Thomas & Ravi’s guest house in Newfane, VT. I was given excellent directions & upon arrival Thomas helped heft my heavy ski luggage. This idyllic setting is conveniently located between Brattleboro and Mt. Snow and within a 45 minute drive to Stratton. Would most definitely recommend for a DIY retreat!
