Family-friendly holiday rentals in Stirling

Wallace Lodge was by far the most beautiful and peaceful of our entire trip. The house was the perfect mix of modern amenities with a rustic feel, everything from the private Loch to the sheep in the surrounding fields made our stay even that much better. Wallace was a most helpful and gracious host, from letting us check in s little early, to showing us how to work the appliances. The hot tub overlooking the private Loch was the icing on the cake for this amazing place. would definitely come back here for a vacation.

A lovely place to stay out of the way in a beautiful location. Clean and tidy bungalow and hot tub was so relaxing.

Excellent accommodation and location, a real memorable trip. The restaurant is pretty much 'on-site' and was excellent. One negative - the hob. Seems like a small thing but when you are cooking for 8 and struggling to hold water at the boil it is frustrating. It was so weak. Since it is accommodation for 8, it really ought to be a more powerful hob. Frying bacon took *ages* ! Otherwise amazing, and highly recommended *****

Absolutely fantastic location, out of the way and really peaceful. Another Airbnb next door but was exactly as advertised and contact with other guests was minimal and no issue at all. Perfect for a Scottish getaway in the Trossachs. The accommodation was clean, tidy and so well decorated - a home from home! Alison and Matt were so accommodating. Really helpful and friendly. We even asked about bringing a BBQ and they kindly offered their own for ease. Would absolutely recommend the stay to family and friends! Thank you for a lovely stay, 5*

Secluded, peaceful, private property with a river at the bottom of the garden. Bright, airy, clean, well furnished accommodation. Loved the log burner. Very well attended clean hot tub. Owners were very attentive for any needs should they be required but not intrusive at all. The bedrooms were clean and well furnished with fully equipped bathrooms - upstairs and downstairs. Great towels provided. Plenty of space to have a quiet time inside or outside from the hot tub or seating area at the large table with chairs. Beautiful views of the river and fields through the French doors. Nice touch of freshly baked scones welcomed us on arrival. Unfortunately we could not spend much time enjoying the property over our 3 day stay due to our daughter’s wedding but we would definitely love to return again. A great property to spend time as a family with children as there is an outside play area for children and huge amount of board games and toys available in the house.

wonderful weekend spent here with our two young children. the private Loch area was lovely and the local village was a wonderful haggis trail which we thoroughly enjoyed! the food at the local pub is also great! the lodge was pristine and well equipped for a relaxing stay. the hit tub was immaculate although I would have preferred it a little more private. I would stay in a different lodge to resolve this in the future. it didn't impact our stay however. everyone from the lovely gentleman at reception and cleaners were extremely friendly and helpful. we couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay with our friends. Saw 3 Pine Martins run across the deck, which was exciting. The walk to the Loch is gorgeous. We came in our vintage cars and were pleased to have private parking for both. Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of Scotland, slept so well , appreciated the quality bedding and how clean the cottage was. we will return at some point.

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage, and as others have said the games room is fabulous fun, the horses were a huge hit with our kids, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a fun day out! Thank you again Helen and family for a super place to relax and have great fun. We really enjoyed our visit.

A great place to stay in Callander. It is on the main road but isn't noisy, very handily right across from Tesco and 30 seconds round the back is access to the river (good for dog walking). We did drive past the parking spot at first but having a place to put the car is great. 8 minute drive to the bottom of Ben Ledi walk - which I would recommend. Very comfortable space big enough for 2 and a dog, had pans/knives/boards etc. Also had salt/pepper/oil which is helpful. Emma was responsive and kindly let us check out flexibly as noone else had booked in.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Stuart’s Airbnb in Balloch, Loch Lomond! The place was comfortable and had everything we needed — a real home away from home. It’s in a perfect location, just a short walk from the loch, restaurants, and local shops. A superb base to explore the stunning surrounding area. Stuart was a brilliant host — friendly, responsive, and helpful. Highly recommended!

We had a great time here. This was a birthday surprise for my cousin 70th birthday who has problems with mobility. Wendy communicated with me putting flowers, banners and a balloon to surprise her which was great. It was easy for my cousin to get around the property and the garden. Definitely would come back. Beautiful property in a stunning setting.

The cottage was beautiful! Location is peaceful and private. Marianne's instructions to get to the cottage were very helpful and made it easier to find the cottages. The cottages were clean, neat and tidy giving us ample of space to use. The views from the cottage are spectacular even our kitten enjoyed the views! The location was perfect for us to drive around other places in the highlands and discover local areas. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back! Thank you Marianne for the wonderful stay. Vanaf het begin een heel goed contact met Christine. Zo kregen we al voordat we naar onze eerste locatie gingen al de toegangscode voor het sleutelkluisje. Het gebouw waar de woning in gevestigd is, ziet er fantastisch uit. Is gelegen op een zeer rustig compount. Waar bij schemering regelmatig herten te spotten zijn. De woning bood voldoende ruimte voor 6 personen, en voelde heel gezellig aan. De inventaris was zeer uitgebreid. Je kwam aan niets te kort. Over het algemeen was alles schoon en netjes. Het enige negatieve was, dat de datum van naar huis gaan steeds dichterbij kwam. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf. En zouden andere mensen deze locatie graag aanbevelen.

We had an amazing time in Alyson’s cabin. Even though the weather wasn’t kind, the view from the cabin makes up for it. Watching the weather change and the wonderful rainbows-amazing. Luss is a quaint, popular little village. So lovely when all the coach trips go home and you can explore on your own . There are a few places to eat and drink in Luss, the Loch Lomond hotel was lovely. We had a great walk up Ben Dubh, which is just behind Luss and also visited Conic Hill for an easier hike. The village walks are really pleasant too. The cabin had everything needed for a short stay, it was clean and well equipped. We would definitely recommend.

Couldn't have been happier with the cottage or the location. The cottage was clean, well presented and had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable including the sofa bed. The kitchen was well stocked. Great to be able to log into Amazon and Disney on the TV and watch like at home. Drymen was only 20 minute walk down a quiet road with plenty of amenities. Pretty too. Just a bit further to Balmaha, Loch Lomond and Finnich Glen.

We had a great stay at Iain’s charming cabin, he provided clear instructions before arrival for check in and some additional directions to find the place. When we arrived the cabin was very clean with all listed amenities available and everything topped up such as fire wood. Half way through our stay there was an electrical issue in the area which caused a power outage. Iain was quick to respond and try his best to get everything going again, when it became apparent this wouldn’t be until the following day he booked alternative accommodation for us and then welcomed us back into the cabin the following day. These things can’t be helped but Iain dealt with the situation in the best way possible which is all you can ask for. Once the fire is roaring the cabin becomes so cosy and a perfect place to return back to after exploring the Scottish countryside. Coupled with a comfy bed and an amazing view to wake up to you really can’t go wrong with a relaxing getaway here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Als vriendengroep van 8 zijn we altijd op zoek naar nieuwe leuke plekken om te bezoeken. Dit jaar was de keuze gevallen op Schotland/de Hooglanden en Glasgow. Voor ons was het een ideale mix van hiken, op de fiets een stadstour doen, in verschillende restaurants de plaatselijke keuken te ervaren, op een eigen plek tot rust te komen en natuurlijk ook lekker wat biertjes te drinken. De Back Borland Cottage was een mooie, afgelegen plek met mooie uitzichten en van gemakken voorzien, zoals een heerlijk warm bubbelbad en een ruime gezamenlijke zitkamer met draaibare houtkachel. Dave heeft ons een duidelijke, beknopte uitleg gegeven over wat we konden verwachten en het verblijf is ons goed bevallen. Wat ons betreft een aanrader! Dank dat we jullie gasten konden zijn. A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here, perfect location and great space to be in.

This was our second time staying at Anthony's flat. The location is excellent (right on the river, quiet neighbourhood). It has everything required for my elderly mother (no steps and large enough rooms for her to navigate with her walker). And Anthony is very helpful. Thanks again for a wonderful stay in Dunblane.
